Re: “Presta Coffee: Precision Roasting

TWers... Sorry but this is not about food and I really look forward to your local FOOD articles although I'm sure you are well and truly chuffed to do something OTHER than food. Beer... not food, snacky stuff with grass in it... not food, libations of any sort no matter how nutritious... not food. Okay? Thanks, Foodie

Re: “Tucson's 100 Essential Dishes

Zachary's. RIP. You will be missed. Especially since I finally ate that last piece in the freezer.

Re: “Tucson's 100 Essential Dishes

Zachary's Pizza will always be one of Tucson's central culinary offerings. Sorry if you missed it. Nothing like it. RIP. Had some stashed in the freezer until recently. Couldn't bear to finish it.

Re: “Cali Grill: Subtle or Sapless

Pretty spot on review except my service for lunch was very good. Will try it again.

Hubby's English so he's had his share of fish and chips, however we both agree this place is crap. Period.

Re: “Crispy's Fish and Chips: Hot and Hot

That's insane if they don't have malt vinegar.

Re: “Jim Murphy of Kingfisher: “We’re Not Done”

As a former employee of roughly 16 years I gotta say that Murph and his partner Jeff are like none other when it comes to employers and restauranteurs. They are true family men and their family includes each of their employees. As restaurants constantly come and go in this little city the Kingfisher boys continue to be top of the class. As many, I can't wait to see what's next.

65 year old tourists? You can't be referring to Rita Connelly or are you?

Re: “Crispy's Fish and Chips: Hot and Hot

Been here several times. I like the fried shrimp. Wife likes the fish and chips, Much better than what we had at the Hud for 15.00!

Re: “Jim Murphy of Kingfisher: “We’re Not Done”

Kingfisher has the best baby back ribs in town! Check out the half slab on the late-night menu for $14, which includes skinny French fries & cole slaw sides. This is such a cool place, in the bar, or dining room. Murph is a Tucson legend in his own time!

Gotta have more baby back ribs, but just wish he would open on the far east side at Tanque Verde & Catalina Highway - it would be a license to print money, as nobody out here in the Tanque Verde Valley wants to drive all the way into town for dinner & wine, & then try to safely make it back home way out here. Some 20,000 or so of us out here, Murph! Get with it & check out the huge corner here!

Re: “100 Essential Dishes

I would like to see the hours of the locations shown. That is just as important as what to ask for when you get there.

Re: “Crispy's Fish and Chips: Hot and Hot

This place is delicious! We have been going since it opened. After the first run with no malt vinegar we take our own bottle with us ~ they also have malt vinegar there you just have to ask for it.

Re: “100 Essential Dishes

Isn't it just "Mi Nidito"?

Also, does anybody at the Weekly ever go south of 36th street? As far as I can tell, the southernmost location listed here is Mi Nidito, barring eegee's. There are a heck of a lot of restaurants out this way.
