Senator Flake (Fake) can twist it anyway he wants. He's got high paid writers to respond to these ads...but the truth is he lied. He lied to the people of Arizona and he lied to the mother of that slain son. The Grassley bill never came up for a vote. The real vote was the one 45 senators voted down and each and everyone of them received monetary compensation for their vote. It's just sickening that these so called politicians would rather work for those that pay them and not the 91% of the American public who supported the bill!!!!
I stopped watching Kitchen Nightmares because after a few years hearing Ramsey say "bollocks" every five minutes and all the bleeping had become tedious. Obviously, I'm out of the loop on this. Dang! LOL
Hahaha. I can just imagine why this little 'collaboration' ended so quickly.
There are actually four beautiful dogs facing euthanasia this evening. I'd take them all if I could, so many nice dogs in that shelter. Sad.
I live in Scottsdale and I'm going to the grand reopening of Amy's Baking Company tomorrow night. For anyone who wants the lowdown, follow me on Twitter! I'll be tweeting from the restaurant. https://twitter.com/ShannonWilloby
Fee simple title to their lands? What? And watch the federal government's sanctioned criminal organized crime cabal go to Native Americans? After all the rigamarole Congress and the Courts have had to do backpedaling to "fix" the Indian Removal Act and Jackson's insurgency? Sure, makes sense on paper Lee, but it'll never happen... it could, but nobody gives a damn about the silent minority that lives on The Rez. Nobody ever goes to The Rez except to the BIA casinos anyway, and those don't look too shabby. I guess that's also part of the legacy of genocide. I guess I'm guilty too. Shame on me. :( Um... diet coke please.
Another grand space adventure for the UA...way to go!
Chris is a good guy, and his father was a man among men. It is weird he is in this, but no need for all that Old Man
BIA tribes are not sovereign nations according to Majority opinion handed down in Cherokee vs. Georgia. The Tohono O'odham have been herded around the state like livestock. We flooded their original REZ. The BIA is solely responsible for the 90 percent unemployment astronomical rate of disease including 8 X the national rate for such diseases as diabetes and TB. They have 90 percent unemployment and a rate of alcoholism approaching the unemployment, which is likely a root cause the massive rate for that disease. Genocide is now and always has been the BIA Indian policy. These figures suggest that the Country is well on its way to eradicating the Indian. Shame on the leadership in Arizona for not fight to halt the genocide and giving the tribes fee simple title to their ancestral lands.
These people are sick.
I wouldn't buy anything from that sick SOB at Tucson appliance, he thinks he's funny.
Evidently he doesn't think this isn't going to hurt his business. I have news for him.
I can't believe they have the nerve to bring cyber bullying into this again... That shows that they haven't learned anything. They still think people are against them for no reason, and I don't think these people will ever change.
"Customers will be able to decide who is correct: a famous celebrity chef or the marketplace that has supported the small, locally-owned business for six years."
That sounds SO pretentious. Bake some humble pie, guys.
Flake voted to let the voices of the Gun control Bill be heard, instead of filibustered. I think that is what we need is both sides speaking the Obama Administration doesn’t do that, Obamacare is the result of Republicans voices being locked out, Flake didn’t do that. After hearing what the Bill stood for and how it was sold Flake voted against the Bill as any person honestly looking for a solution to gun murders should have.
The Gun Bill was sold as being the answer to Sandy Hook to the Denver massacres when in fact that was a lie, the Bill was just more of the same failed laws that has created a situation where Democrat voting areas have 650% HIGHER gun murder rates than the Republican voting areas with less restrictive gun laws. Profiling mental health is the answer, not more gun laws; we already have over 10,000 in place. Jeff Flake took a hit in the polls, why? Because his vote to allow discussion made the Gun supporters mad, as the vote was sold as his supporting the anti-gun crowd, when in fact it was just the anti-gun crowd misleading for por la causa again!
Again how do you explain why Republican voting areas have 650% lower gun murder rates than in the Democrat voting areas all while having LESS gun law? The answer to that question points us in the direction we need to be heading if we indeed want to “solve” these maddening tragedies!
Gun show guns are used in 1.8% of the gun murders; we have been focused on something that even if the Bill was 100% successful could impact only 1.8% of the gun murders! 100% of our efforts directed at solving 1.8% of the problem that is insanity mad dogs just barking for no reason!
I find it shameful how the Democrats and the other supporters of this failed effort used lies and deceptions to sell their position, but lies and deception seems to be how things are done these days right?
Proud Democrat? Why?
I lol'd
I've seen the ad and I think it says it all, quite well. Flake brought all of this down on himself.
He is early in his term, so I'm sure his party is hoping that it will blow-over well before the next election. If he makes a habit of 'talking out of both sides of his mouth' then we will all know that the issue really is his personal integrity. I used to admire John McCain for his integrity, but he sold his soul to the party in return for their aid in advancing his political career. Who knows what he really thinks now. Same for Flake?
This Grand Re-Opening is sure to result in multiple felonies. I can not wait.
Kathy Parker, I appreciate your opinion.
But when you screw up as massively and publicly as they did, you can go one of a few routes. For simplicity's sake, we'll say two:
One, you can admit your failure, apologize to those wronged and move on, knowing that you've got something to fix. Two, you can double-down on your mistake, affirm that you are completely within the right and that everyone who disagrees is a fool.
One of those earns respect, the other earns (well-deserved) mockery.
Which do you think they picked?
Overall, the Tohono O'odham Nation prevailed. They lost a lot of cultural land due to appease the general public of the state of Arizona. We didn't say anything to that, afterall, it directly benefited us as taxpayers. We give them some "shut-up" money to leave us alone in our air-conditioned homes and businesses. They take the money and purchase 135 acres in Glendale to make up for "Our" comforts related to the American dream. They go and decided to build a casino in the middle of Phoenix; their old ancestral from the Hohokam period... yep; sounds like Karma to me and yes... it is their land from times past.
Don't support more gun control, you're a lair. Lets talk about why background checks have to go through a federally licensed firearm dealer. ... Waiting... Still waiting... None, not one reason we, the people should not be allowed to use National Criminal Instant Check System for ourselves. If these checks were such a good idea then why can't we do them on our own? These lies about not expanding BATFE licensed agents into every sale don't pass the sniff test. You want sensable debate on gun control, then try making sense, not boondogle bureaucracy.
Flake = Liar.
Re: “If You Heckle John McCain on Memorial Day, You Deserve to Be Called a Jerk”
John McCain was confronted about his ongoing association with the USS Liberty cover-up:
