A 37-year-old man living in his mom's trailer - you could've stopped right there.
I agree wholeheartedly with your endorsement of Andrea Dalessandro. She has been out there in the community working hard for Southern Arizonans for many years.
However, in your endorsement for the CD 1 House seat, you failed to mention that long time Tucsonan, Ray Parrish, is running as a Green Party candidate against Babeu and O'Halleran. Are you even aware that Ray is running for this office? Did you spend any time looking into what he stands for?
I've always looked to the Tucson Weekly for news coverage that is outside the purview of the mainstream media. However, I'm disappointed by this article which neglects to even mention candidates who aren't part of the establishment duopoly. It's your paper, and you have the right to endorse whomever you want, but to not even mention the other candidates does a disservice to Tucsonans and voters throughout Arizona's vast Congressional District 1. In this crazy election year featuring the two least popular major party presidential candidates in U.S. history, people are clamoring for other options up and down the ballot.
The mainstream media's unfair coverage of this election has caused millions of people, especially young people, to turn to social media for our news. While I never considered the Tucson Weekly to be mainstream media, this article certainly aligns with the biased coverage we are getting bombarded with daily. I have known and admired Ray Parrish for several years, but I learned of his candidacy through social media and was elated to see that he is running with the Green Party. Disclaimer: I am not registered with the Green Party but will be changing my registration before the next election cycle thanks to candidates like Jill Stein and Ray Parrish who demonstrate that the Green Party puts People, the Planet, and Peace over Profit.
Thanks for the help. I guess my eyes went past "Chef Alisah's" as a reference to the Chef, not the restaurant. My bad. Sounds like a great place.
Wrong, Again is the 6th least intelligent troll on the internet and DAMN proud of it!
I feel fortunate not to know where the top 5 are leaving their stains. Wrong, Again is bad enough.
"...transforming the local economy away from a dependence on homebuilding and toward a future based on jobs related to trade, technology and biosciences."
Liberals don't know how to do that, especially the leftists in Tucson (many of whom are devoted Marxists). They have succeeded in No Growth, No Jobs and No Future.
6th poorest city in the country, and DAMN proud of it!
Aah! I love the smell of troll in the morning.
At 4:36 am no less.
John Smith does more trolling before 9 am than most people do all day.
Sorry for misspelling the name! It's Chef Alisah's.
Here's a link to what looks like a luscious menu:
I've been going there since it opened in 2008, and the dishes have never disappointed me. Below is the website with the menu. Check it out, go, and enjoy.
The name is in the Heading and repeated in the 2nd paragraph. It's "Chef Asiah's."
Here's the address:
Michelangelo San Marcos Plaza, 5931 N Oracle Rd #117, Tucson, AZ 85704
You Goggle the hours and read additional reviews.
What is the name of this restaurant? If it's in there, it's easy to miss. Address? Is there any particular dish on the menu to describe? This is a good story about these members of the community and their journey. But I will have to search to find out how to try this place. Why make it so difficult?
More aligned with your values? What the neck might those be? No borders, no jobs, less freedoms, and no children? Those aren't values, those are are destructive character flaws. Get some professional help.
Off Ox -
I challenge you to look at my sources and tell me what part of Betts' "Jewish Problem" you think is crackpot.
She's stood with a dude who minimizes or denies the Holocaust, and picketed a Jewish Festival and attended events which deny Israel's right to exist.
Based on that, can she represent all students, including Jews and Christians?
You're not arguing with me, you're arguing with the AJL, Jewish Virtual Library and Alan Dershowitz.
After Trump disappears, there will still be racists, liars and fear-mongers like him - on both sides. Let's figure out how to discern some truth.
Just when I needed my crackpot fix, MJ is back! Hallelujah! After Donald Trump disappears, we're gonna need you full-time, my friend.
Safier and Buckmaster on the radio speaking into the same microphone?
I feel sorry for the mic ... and the audience (or lack thereof).
If there were any rhyme or reason to this crazy universe, The Struts "Kiss This" would RULE THE AIRWAVES.
I was a strong supporter of Sharon Bronson for the dozen-plus years I have lived in Picture Rocks. I supported her because without her active support we probably would not have the pool, BMX/Skate Park, various grants, and other amenities that have enhanced our community. But that was then.
Now she has lined up with forces that see the Avra Valley as a dumping ground for their money-making schemes. Look at:
-Her support of County Administrator Chuck Huckelberry and silence about his proposed Interstate 11 route through the Avra Valley that will hurt our communities, including the Tohono Oodham Nation, impede wildlife, and destroy ancient archaeological sites, while enriching millionaire real estate speculators like Wil Cardon and Don Diamond;
-Tens of thousands of dollars in campaign contributions from fat cat developers and corporate PACs;
-Her continued vocal support for the Sonoran Corridor leg of I-11 despite its rejection by the voters in the bond election; whatever happened to respecting the will of the people?
-With transportation logistics essential to connection with Mexico she ignores the job losses that Interstate 11 planners of integrative manufacturing expect with R&D in the US and manufacture and assembly in Mexico where ADOT expects wages to be lower than China; with stealing good American shipping jobs from the West Coast to the expanding Port of Guaymas; to crippling tourism at Saguaro Park, Desert Museum, Kitt Peak, etc.; to destroying existing jobs that serve the I-10 corridor;
-Her support for doubling a regressive county sales tax on us and increasing the state gas tax while lavishing tens of millions in tax breaks and subsidies on crony corporations.
Twenty years is long enough; its time for a change.
"The Worms" were a favorite for decades at the Chicago Bar on Speedway. Happy birthday Howe!
Obamacare would work if we adjusted the levels of penalty for no insurance. $50,000 per violation would make the program solvent. We would probably save $2500 per year and we could all keep our doctors if we like them.
This is just another case of the pot calling the kettle black. Democrats have so politicized the Supreme Court that it is now virtually a second legislative body. The Left wing members of the Court vote in lock step. They bent over backwards to push through Obamacare despite serious and major flaws with the act.
I support Cyndi Tuell for county attorney, she demonstrates a strong ethic to our community and important issues. I appreciate her dedication to environmental concerns pertaining to Pima county and the state of Arizona. Take a moment to learn about her campaign at
