Re: “Danehy

An Elies used car would smell like doggie dodoo. When is his ego going to catch up with his girth? Or is it the other way around.

Re: “Danehy

Giving away our ages, Tom. How about the bumper stickers " Dick Nixon. before he dicks you" Or when he ran for a second term " don't change Dicks in the middle of a screw, vote for Nixon in 72. Ah, the 60's. See , I wasn't always a right winger. Just smartened up!!

Re: “Danehy

Pancho Villa is an icon of the Mexican Revolution. Yes, he definitely was a man of his times and a man of contradictions. While I do not condone the killing of innocent people of Columbus, NM, I strongly support our statue and Pancho's struggle for the poor of Mexico, and for Mexico's national sovereignty. One must also look at the role of President Wilson (who provided and withheld arms) during the Mexican Revolution and how it resulted in the deaths of many Mexicans. Any comprehensive study of all that Doroteo Arango did and fought for would logically result in support of and for, our statue. George Washington was a slave-owner general. Thomas Jefferson also owned slaves. If anyone thinks slavery was "cool," please watch the film "12 years as a Slave." Should we go to Washington D.C. and tear down monuments to George and Thomas?

I remember the poster of Spiro Agnew picking his nose with the caption "Keep Nixon Alive."

Re: “Danehy

Back in the 60's there was a poster of Nixon with the caption "would you buy a used car from this man ?" You could say the same about that picture of Elias.

Re: “Danehy

Operative words (yet again), " It's the three Democrats—Bronson, Valadez, and Richard Elias—who generally feel his wrath."
Heck, Democrats are supposed to stand *for* the People, against the usual detached, self-serving careerists who enact policies that favor a rarified, elitist minority at the expense of everyone else.
Obviously, Hernandez has zero expectations of the two he does not bother with. He and they know where they stand. The other three need to be reminded they have crossed the line, at least from Hernandez's weltanschauung. That said, I suspect that were the latter to vote consistently as Hernandez desires them to, they would not get re-elected.
They owe their votes to a broader constituency, not the local gadfly. But he serves his function, too. We all need the occasional Jiminy Cricket...
Be well.

Well---and I say this as an old guy, who still drives in the fast lane and doesn't have a lawn---at least he has his priorities straight.

"Looking for new cheaper entertainment options? Tom suggests you consider Pima County Board of Supervisors meeting."

And for you NASCAR fans, this kind of entertainment guarantees you a better chance of witnessing a crash and burn than your average stock car race ever could.

Re: “Danehy

"many of the cronies of the now-deposed former superintendent are still ensconced in six-figure, do-nothing administrative jobs" Hmmm. is it possible that Tom would agree that Douceys plan to force 'administration costs' into the classroom just might be a good idea?

Re: “Danehy

Wow, another well written column with a minimum of name calling.
I will do you a favor ( free of charge) and call b.s. on a couple of your remarks Tom.
Why are we "crazy" to think that we are Taxed Enough Already (TEA)? Add them all up sometime.
As for the Republicans blocking Obama, that is ridiculous. Pelosi and Reid played fair?
How many bills did old Harry bring up for a vote Tom?
For the first two years of his reign, King Barry had the House and the Senate.
How much immigration law change did he propose then? Now he refuses to enforce a law he dislikes?
Your comments on upholding the law should put this prez in the slammer.
Not to mention sicking the IRS on conservatives, Mexican gun running with Holder.... oh hell with it
I just remembered that you never listen.

Re: “Danehy

I posted a picture of me on my bike for years. After I sold it I changed it to my dog in his N.Y. Rangers jersey. As far as names go, years ago I sent a letter to the Red Star and my parents got flooded with nasty phone calls. My father and I have the first name. My number is unlisted, his isn't. At their age they don't need nasty calls from 'civil' liberals. Who cares? Obviously you do or you wouldn't have bothered to write. Too easy, Brother. Too easy.

Hey cw 13...Brave soul! Don't sign your name and publish a picture of yourself.
Mouth off about folks likes and dislikes without comment. Who cares? Meaningless clicks, it's not the Gallup Poll!
I'll still read your comments and judge accordingly. Today's measure, dislike. Sign your name.

13 dislikes and not one of you with the balls to say why. I was put on this planet to annoy the left and not one of you has figured out that the more dislikes I get better I feel. Gives a whole new meaning to shooting fish in a barrel.

At least when people turn out in protest, they'll be able to rally around "Drop Ducey".

Nice job - I'm going to cut and paste the part about running a business having very very little to do with governing and post it everywhere I can. The notion that they are the same thing baffling to me.

Re: “Danehy

I can't believe the bottom half of the sixth paragraph. If that's true, Obummer would at best be back on the streets of Chicago stirring up shit or at worst doing 15 to 20.
