Re: “The Skinny

The American people have been betrayed by the Republicans when the American people had placed unrivaled trust and loyalty, given to them an all out win against the Liberal-Democratic zealots in the midterm. Representatives passed a $1.1 trillion spending bill on Thursday evening that would fully fund Pres. Obama's executive amnesty. The vote came after a 6-hour recess while Leaders from both parties tried to gather enough support to pass the measure and prevent a government shutdown.

House Speaker John Boehner sent the following tweet moments after the bill passed, pledging to fight Obama's amnesty in the next Congress. However, without the leverage of a full spending bill there's little GOP Leaders can do to force Obama to sign a bill defunding his amnesty? Now Obama can process the paperwork for his unconstitutional amnesty. Giving Obama millions more dollars to grant an education, health care and settlement dollars for illegal aliens, with the skills necessary for them to reside in America and compete for jobs with American workers and their children.

As little as my citizen vote is in 2016 as an Independent, I will not vote for any President who will NOT rescind Obama’s Executive Orders immigration amnesty.

The main stream Republicans (RINO’s) have stayed in the background about the illegal immigrant invaders, but although the TEA PARTY are blatantly against Obama’s amnesty the career politicians in the GOP are quite happy to accept 5 million of illegal aliens to ransack the American welfare system with cheap labor to favor their wealthy donors, mega corporations, Wall St, Bankers, agricultural plantations and top of the list, the US Chamber of Commerce. NumbersUSA will grade the vote as a vote for amnesty. Then for the Liberal-Democrats millions of future votes.

Was this a carefully crafted deception from the beginning from the GOP?

The people need to keep bombarding Washington at contact phone Numbers and Mailing Addresses of Members of Congress at: The TEA PARTY members are urged to pick-up the phone (the toll free number is 1- 866-220-0044) and join other conservatives who are committed to jam the phone lines on Capitol Hill (also melt the phone lines in the Senate) with this simple message: If you funded amnesty, you own it? Now you have sold out to this President, we will be ready with a sharp scalpel to remove all corrupt politicians from office in 2016 who voted for his anti-American agenda.

NumbersUSA will grade the vote as a vote for amnesty.

Re: “The Skinny

Jim, I think your penance for that needless factual error is a viewing of this video about the curb appeal of your local Odd Fellows Hall:

You're welcome.

We don't have the water for these new people.

You must remember when you told businesses that? It was before global warming. I think it was during the warning of the third ice age. Or was it the freon ban?

In other news, the same Ashley Nash-Hahn quoted in this article, quit her job with the Ron Barber campaign in the last couple of weeks,

Re: “The Skinny

"But Obama said he took action only after coming to the conclusion that the House of Representatives wasn't likely to act on a bipartisan immigration plan..."

That is not a footnote on my copy of the USC.

We have two different takes. I continued to try to hush his detractors as they criticized him for playing golf. My thought was, "play golf all you want, we'll even pay you for playing golf but please don't force your one world progressive ideas on us.

Well the golfing has stopped and just Monday he announced that your anger against police is justified. Why is he always on the criminals side on race issues? It must be race.

I do not need a President that drives a wedge between what our Police Officers do for us each and every day. That is a sure fire way to turn your community into Ferguson MO.

Let's find a way to get out and say "THANK YOU" to all our police, and fire department members.

They are truly first line of defense public servants.

Thank you TPD, PCSO, and TFD.

The majority of us do respect you.

"371 voters cast ballots at the wrong polling place"

How does someone cast a ballot at the wrong polling place? Don't poll workers verify that each voter is at the correct polling place before giving them a ballot?

"318 voters were not properly registered to vote"

What does "not properly registered" even mean? If you're registered you get a ballot, if you're not, you don't. Right? How does someone "not properly registered" even get a ballot?

Now that Barber appears done, I wonder if he regrets his vote for the farm bill that cut $8.7 billion from food stamps. The republic party filled my mailbox with giant postcards of scruffy children attacking Barber for that vote. Anyone who pays attention knows it's laughable to think the republic party is pro food stamps. But the low-info types probably took that message away from those mailers. And it was easy to verify that Barber did cast that vote. This race should send a message to every Blue Dog Dem out there - you will get attacked by the other side when you vote with them.

Anyway, good luck to you, Botox McSally. It looks like you won one for the Kochs.

Re: “The Skinny

I'm more confused now. News outlets yesterday said results were complete. Is there a recount in December as reported or is there not?

Does anybody really know what time it is? Does anybody really care?

Re: “The Skinny

It might ease some heartburn if early ballots were actually turned in EARLY. That would give them time to check and confirm validity.

No more dropping them off on election day. Make them due 10 days prior. That way the counters get a chance to loosen up a little before the big game.

Hate me....but they only work one day every two

Government responsibilities for dummies:

Secure elections
Repair roads
Secure the borders

Why won't they do their jobs? Firing some always helps morale.

But of course if there is a complicated way Arizona is all for it .. Just look how much money is being bleon oout of the window for these stupid pamplets that are being sent .. And I bet you one in a million that they are being dumped shortly after they are reteived from the mailbox .. Im so fed up with all wht goes on or better yet NOT goes on in Pima Country ...

Re: “The Skinny

Thanks so much for this article. I think it would have helped quite a bit had the Recorder/Elections Department provided such a detailed explanation during the process. Transparency calms all sorts of fears.

Just a quick question though that perhaps you could follow up on. According to your report, the Recorder claimed to have completed verifying Vote By Mail ballots by November 5. I'd love to hear an explanation as to why mailed ballots were still being certified on the 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th & 10th.

My *assumption* is that the batches on the 6th were probably completed by the Recorder on the 5th but not turned over until the morning of the 6th.

I'd still like to hear explanations on the batches submitted over the next 4 days. Granted, it's not a significant number of votes, and, for the record, I'm not some wild conspiracy theorist about vote rigging. I'm confident (or at the very least hopeful) that there's both a reasonable explanation and intact chain of custody. But I remain curious.

Thanks again for the fine reporting.

Re: “The Skinny

District 2 and District 5 (Elias and Valadez) have less that 10% each of the county's roads in their district. District 2 (Miller) has more than 30% of the County's roads.
