What? An elected official doesn't want to disclose where her campaign contributions came from? REALLY??? I'm shocked, I tell you - shocked!
Oh my gosh, I love that library. When we moved back to Tucson a few weeks ago, I was in there everyday applying for jobs and looking for a place to work. I would drop off my daughter at Carrillo Elementary down the street and head over to Santa Rosa. Thanks to the free Wi-Fi and amazing staff, I have both a great job and a place to live....in the same neighborhood of the library. Thanks Katja for taking the lead!
Open a prison insert criminals. Put them where they belong. Plus prisons have libraries. Just that taxpayers don't get access to them.
When an elected official doesn't want you to know where money that supported them came from, the source of that money should be disclosed. Reagan fighting this is ample proof that she has some donors she wants to keep hidden.
Close a school (library) open a prison.
Open borders and vote buying is killing democracy. Don't blame it on wise fiscal management...which will never happen here.
I frankly don't care whether Reagan does it or Clean Elections, but somebody has to rein in the dark money crowd. The reality is that Koch money bought the most recent election - and Ducey et al are following the Koch agenda verbatim.
I understand that an initiatiative may be circulated for the 2016 ballot to expand the statutory powers of the Citizens Clean Elections Commission. I'd be an enthusiastic supporter of such a measure.
The "War on Marijuana" has been a complete and utter failure. It is the largest component of the broader yet equally unsuccessful "War on Drugs" that has cost our country over a trillion dollars.
Instead of The United States wasting Billions upon Billions more of our tax dollars fighting a never ending "War on Marijuana", lets generate Billions of dollars, and improve the deficit instead. It's a no brainer.
The Prohibition of Marijuana has also ruined the lives of many of our loved ones. In numbers greater than any other nation, our loved ones are being sent to jail and are being given permanent criminal records which ruin their chances of employment for the rest of their lives, and for what reason?
Marijuana is much safer to consume than alcohol. Yet do we lock people up for choosing to drink?
Even The President of the United States has used marijuana. Has it hurt his chances at succeeding in life? If he had gotten caught by the police during his college years, he may have very well still been in prison today! Beyond that, he would then be fortunate to even be able to find a minimum wage job that would consider hiring him with a permanent criminal record.Let's end this hypocrisy now!
The government should never attempt to legislate morality by creating victim-less marijuana "crimes" because it simply does not work and costs the taxpayers a fortune.
Marijuana Legalization Nationwide is an inevitable reality that's approaching much sooner than prohibitionists think and there is nothing they can do to stop it!
Legalize Nationwide! Support Each and Every Marijuana Legalization Initiative!
When you close a library you kill a little piece of democracy.
Dammit..... Hard on the disadvantaged Anna.......
