Re: “News21: America’s Weed Rush

I guess it about time to start organizing my old friends in the Rancho Visto, Oro Valley, Green Valley, Del Web communities, We need to start picketing the dispensaries that support MMP's proposal. I haven't done this since 1967 and
"Hey Hey LBJ how many kids did you kill today with high altitude bombing" LBJ was the first not Nixon. I guess we could chant " Hey Hey MMJ Wont go away as we picket the dispensaries"

Let the police just try and handle these medical dependent in so many ways patients trying to keep their rights. It will make the news

Re: “News21: America’s Weed Rush

All Marijuana sold in Arizona should come from a state owned testing lab. For quality pesticides even like Neme oil is not good ever see what happened to Neme oil when lit with butane from a lighter, I was in phoenix dispensary and listed with some of the fertilizers was boron like sprinkling Miracle Grow for bloom hardly a consumable but the Monies are for profit not the people. In order to increase bud size lets hit with Whey Silica tricantinol Trace minerals get the weight regardless of the impact it has on the consumer. And every dispensary I go to say they are in the business to help me LMFAO

Re: “News21: America’s Weed Rush

Very informative story on the responsibility of states and the medical community to embrace cannabis therapies. I can only think of one place in Tucson that tries with sincerity to treat the ailment and the patient needs, That would be Tumble Weeds !

I wonder if anyone really knows the impact legalization that there charlatans (hmmm) dispensaries are running would have on medical. MPP's proposal would completely dismantle the MMJ concerns for favor of creating a monopoly that serves them completely.

Does anyone really think there would be an huge increase in Education? With the legislature controlling the purse they and defund one program and look from monies from the new MOB controlled Department of Marijuana.

I have a severe nerve condition that all my Doctors know about and watch the results. I cant express just how hard it is to acquire quality medication here in Tucson. As I am limited to not driving and asking others in my family for help. It is ridiculous to try and match medical needs to "HAPPY HOUR" PUNCH CARD, TEXTED SPECIALS, with a family needs demanding time. The competition between asking family member's and my 22 grandchildren comes first between Bullshit promotion and family needs.

MPP's proposal is not legalization it is putting those that profited before in power to tax and enforce NOT GOOD.

Re: “News21: America’s Weed Rush

Here is even more reason and validation NOT vote for or endorse MPP's proposed initiative . As it now being allowed to publish studies that were not able because DEA classification as not value on schedule so any study cant be quaintly reviewed and published with the FDA.

This is a study on Cannabis and it's effect on diabetics Pima county is in an epidemic second most cases in the World next to Micro Indonesia.

It is a very sad day in the humanity, of the marketing control of MMJ. These dispensaries know the shame they are perpetuating on the medical community with their criminal pricing and advertising saying their non-profit. MPP would gut all medical put it in the realm of subcultures and charlatans. These Dispensaries bent on some kind of weird cultural movement to propel them to success by giving away tax collected to Police enforcement and HMMM Education. In order to do this the diabetic goes under the bus. So If this passes and you see that wheel chair bound amputated blind citizens. Just think You voted for this.

Re: “News21: America’s Weed Rush

I will apologize for consecutive posts this will be the last.

I just realized that 40 million is about right. If you look at the original Welfare program it took 68% of the monies congress gave it to administer the system. This is counting board employees facility equipment and outside contractors to collect data to compile an understanding of the system and it's effectiveness. retirement and benefits. Then in the Clinton Administration this was streamlined cut benefits and shift administration over more to states in so many facets of the system.

So I would estimate by previous government bureaus the $40,000,000.00 estimate is an obtainable to mark it a success. All we need is the $120,000,000.00 to do it. Get rid of the medical patient like Thomas Jefferson said the increase of government is a equal loss of civil rights.

Re: “News21: America’s Weed Rush

lets ask MPP where the 120 million the state collected last year went ? Heck yes I can collect 120 million + and hand over a check for 40 million be given the key to the city and a ticker tape parade be the Golden Child for being so Socially conscious. My biggest problem is explaining how it took 80 million to give away 40 million. And the new department employees will be civil servants so the cost is
exponential in long term labor costs that you will need to add to the cost and to administer that.

I actually seen the next Administration going to court and making federal standards and tariffs and testing that will diminish the need for the Department of Marijuana. So many State's have so many different conflicting way and practices that if causes an undo burden on personal rights commerce interests. It will make the Dept of MMJ Monopoly making criminal machine vicious in it's attempt in survival..

Re: “News21: America’s Weed Rush

I believe we need to look at this much more closely than a revenue enhancement. Lets see how much monies go to "EDUCATION" from such highly promoted as the lottery? Which was the gateway to Indian Gaming. I know several small companies where the owner went bankrupt trying to make up losses. Thousands lost their jobs millions were lost to creditors but it did have a gambling "HOTLINE" if you got in trouble . Has any one ever seen a success from that support group? the truth is Indian gaming wont even open their books and list who their investors are suspicious.

This proposed proposal put forth by MPP will create a new Department that if you read wants the same autonomy as the Indian reservations in control of the Recreational Marijuana market until 2020. This proposal is a Trojan Horse to HELL. If anyone thinks they can control the illegal market by giving the Department of Marijuana police powers to dealers and previous criminals to where they have a law to tax together your in a fantasy.

This MPP proposal takes away all Medical Marijuana puts it in the hands of previous felons and police. The Citizens passed MMJ out of compassion. to pass a law that away for monies in somebody else's pocket and to deny the needy And will beat you down if you stray. This is just pure EVIL

Re: “MMJ/Legalization Opinion

You know it is history re-birthed all over again. The Boston Tea party was about a tax on opium laced teas from the orient. While Alchemy was the standard of the day and these teas relieved all sorts of ailment that people were walking around with in the 1700's. Can you imagine the amount of suffrage ailments that people endured so they became unwitting addicts. The king in response to outcry from the Americans stopped all taxes but those on tea ? Yea really just the sole tax on tea can you believe it. The king wanted to build a whole powerful colony on tea tax alone.

So strung out addicts who needed the tea for those sick and the addicts dressed up like Indians. Economic down turns Kings commitments to it's subjects all added to the cost and when they couldn't afford it. We all know the rest of the story. What MPP's legislation is to build a Sheriff of Nottingham called the Department of Marijuana. This new Arpaio clone has his herd to go to nurseries and watch the fertilizers being sold the plant supporting products lighting companies to see what they sell. laboratories that do not have a standard's now they will write one with no oversight. YEA THIS HAS SHIT WRITTEN ALL OVER IT AND THOSE THAT SUPPORT IT MPP's proposal unfortunately will be pushed aside by corporate interests and that will be the menu. It's your sandwich you made your going to eat it

Re: “MMJ/Legalization Opinion

Dispensaries really Regulated by what standard ? by what RULE? do you see product testing on all product or just a list from Leafy. You see a guy pull some product out of a jar put it into a bowl weigh it. Ask to see the test result they point to strain on a web page some where. Yea regulated HUH

Re: “MMJ/Legalization Opinion

Huh, what? Dispensaries are regulated. That's one of the main benefits of legalization. You get a regulated product instead of something that you have no idea where it came from, strength, pesticides, etc.

Re: “MMJ/Legalization Opinion

Stability means the same as before just a different name. Less burden on the Government, more burden on the user, sick , mentally challenges physically impaired.

Dispensaries will be under no responsibility for testing standards, Medical training or use of in a medical treatment. All the dispensaries want is to sell pot and collect taxes and ring the bell for victory. but for whom do the bells toll ?

Re: “MMJ/Legalization Opinion

When 50% of all law enforcement owes their job to marijuana being illegal. It is plain and simple a job security issue to the cops. Legalize it and put them to work actually enforcing really dangerous criminals. If they can now only solve 64% of murders, when not long ago it was 90% proof showing what a drag on real priorities are overlooked.

Re: “MMJ/Legalization Opinion

If we take a look at one of the biggest of issues legalizing Marijuana that get little recognition is insurance. While insurance has an interest in every aspect of the change in marijuana laws. From Driving, Workers Comp, Disability, FDIC, Farm & Crop, Unemployment, Performance Bonds, just a few on the liability side. Just think If Cannabis was a treatment for Diabetes and all the related complications associated with it. With loss of work and cost of medical for Diabetes costs 120 billion a year that's billion. If we could save just 1/4 of that 30 billion and channel that into a new understanding of the plant. This is just one aspect of medical possibilities.

However Insurance lends monies to the federal reserve which intern lends it to banks which lend and disperse it to the public. With insurance basically holding title to just about every loan the tidal wave of economic rechanneling must be considered and approached in AZFMR approach. Just think if we lesser the people going to prison the insurance company holding a loan on the facility just lost value because of empty beds. It's the same idea as why would a Garbage refuse company want to recycle. In doing so the hole in the ground that is able to take garbage is worth less because less garbage going in that was figured. and now the value of their asset is worth less and the stock losses.

This IMHO this is the attraction to the conservative voter that MPP has stability I believe this is how they are going to approach it and sell it at election time. It's time to look at this economically too we cant afford to lose this to MPP's people

Re: “MMJ/Legalization Opinion

This obvious, common sense, factual approach has long been ignored in favor of misinformation and paranoia about all things cannabis. Some in law enforcement recognize the stupidity of marijuana prohibition, but resistance is still strong, and giving up this fundamental source of funding and federal support for police departments will not be easy, but it can and must be done.

Political pressure is growing to reclassify or remove marijuana from the DEA's drug schedule as real world experiments with legalization are proving the official stance to be irrational. When reclassification happens, Federal marijuana prohibition is over.

Re: “Opinion MMJ Part II

I agree with kicking MPP to the curb on this one. They showed us in 2010 when they wrote that little blurb about 25 miles from a dispensary being a restriction from growing your own medicine. I don't trust them, nor will I collect signatures for them! They support building monarchs and monopoly s, NOT community.

I'll be collecting signatures and recruiting volunteers to LEGALIZE MARIJUANA in Arizona with the AZFMR initiative!!! Be sure you ask Which petition it is!!!! for comparison chart!

#AZFMR over MPP hands down!

this Sat August 4 at all 3 Cheba Hut locations in the Valley:
* GLENDALE Cheba Hut - 5925 W Olive Ave Glendale 85302
* MESA Cheba Hut - 1710 W Southern Ave, Mesa 85202
* TEMPE Cheba Hut - 960 W University Dr, Tempe 85281
Event Times: 12pm-2pm and 4:20pm-7pm

Please come on by to sign the #AZFMR petition and grab a bite to eat with other like-minded marijuana supporters! Go to read about the petition differences and learn why Safer Arizona supports the
In Tucson check out the 420 social club, 643 n 4th ave, Tucson, Arizona 85705 and AZ4NORML

It is all about protecting their investment now. They want to keep a relative monopoly on supply and distribution.

Re: “Opinion MMJ Part II

Incredulous to support the very rebranding of prohibition and stop and MMJ program. How can this be seen as a step forward in any view. MPP even during the initial wording wanted to set the Marijuana Legalization up with Indian Gaming and casinos. Well Aari I don't trust where your heart is today, tomorrow it will be somewhere else I don't feel the heart felt "ONE LOVE" more like bend over for one glove.

Is coming together to be looked at as we need to settle. It's been a long road for many some much older and longer than that of a retails shop owner/tax collector business concerns. The very reaches of authority that this Marijuana board wants is astronomical.

Aari. I came by your place on Tuesday I thought I should in good consciousness come by and meet and see the operation. Stood at the door waiting to be buzz in once inside I stood at the dark oneway window 3 minutes left with out even speaking a word to a soul. I left thinking I would come back but after reading that you still support MPP I have reconsidered driving 25 miles for the effort.

Re: “Opinion MMJ Part I

Thank you for the support in this on Diabetes control with Marijuana it works for many. While Pima County has the highest amount of Diabetes in the nation and only second in the world behind Micronesia. While this might be attributed to native people changing to a European diet it is even more reason for the Indian Nations to grow and use Marijuana as they are the most afflicted.

There have been research studies done with peer review some even at the UofA doing endorsement of data collected latest is the JAMA's June 23/30, 2015, Vol 313, No. 24 > Again it shows improvement in spasticity and pain. Both of these can be attributes to Diabetes There is really not a nerve medication on the market today. There are medications that relieve the symptoms of nerve damage I am off the Opiates and have controls my diet with Cannabis. I have brought down my cholesterol and no longer on the Stanton Drugs. I am not a healthcare worker involved in healthcare or the Marijuana business this is a testament on personal achievements with Marijuana. I know many like me in the elder years that have gone to this. I was introduced to this by other afflicted and the therapy goes to shit if you drink alcohol excessively.

This is why the Medical aspect is paramount and what the voter for in 2010 voted for. I find it ridiculous that most of the dispensaries have a bud tender passing out the limit of their knowledge to be Indica or Sativa. I find Dispensaries are very clean orderly places with a façade of a medical office with a array of products to consume & purchase them. Over the course of 3 years I have gone to almost all dispensaries in town have found absolutely no help on medical therapies related to Nerve damage.

With this I see no reason to support a creation of a " Marijuana Control Board " with both AZFMR and MPP's proposals to do so. The bureaucratic rule making proposed will basically dismantle Medical Marijuana program as both have conflicting growth and distributions control interests.

Barbra, there are types of Marijuana that suppress appetite as well as increase it. However your better off in my opinion doing a google search for strains. The Dispensaries here will direct you to old stock higher profit hmmm TOP SHELF strain bullshit there is not top shelf in Medical

Re: “Opinion MMJ Part I

Barbara, Would you believe that one specific cannabinoid, THC-V, is known to be an appetite suppressant? Would you believe the active compounds in Cannabis help regulate many body systems? Would you believe that many patients who began MMJ use for the neuropathic pain associated with diabetes found that over time their blood sugars began to normalize? One Love

Ex-Arizonan, you are absolutely correct.
