Again you see states clamoring for who is going to get the tax revenue. Very poorly investigated on the writers part. We now see California one of the first states where they decided to let each county/city pass and implemented laws on control of distribution. Oakland & San Francisco set up guidelines but the southern part of the state didn't causing federal raids. I didn't not see a thing about zoning Laws on dispensaries staying with medical there is protection legalize there is none on zoning considerations. I don't see this as progress.
I have don't agree with the term extracts take out harmful carcinogens we don't know what they are extracting with butane? .While water based each and every extracted should be done in a medical lab and watched by the FDA and inspected by them not a inhouse pot expert that's why in Arizona the MMJ is the most expensive in the nation now they would like to divert that monies to the general fund.
Hello, Mr. Poole while your resume for journalism is impressive not so much for me on MMJ. I look at Bloom Dispensaries not as an advocate but as an adversary to the to the MMJ needs to the citizens that passed the legalization of marijuana. You know as well as I they have lobbyists in the state capitol trying for legalization. This would take it from supervision of medical to the liquor/tobacco control board. Far away from the intent of the passing of MMJ law. I too am a MMJ card holder for nerve spasms involuntary muscle movement go to a Bloom they ask are you in pain we have high THC and these edible's made from plant parts don't know which strain but the have 180 mg medicine. Their solution get so stoned I don't care. When I ask if the strain they are showing me is lab tested the sow me a strain guide of what the seed seller says no lab testing on each and every part sold. I need medicine not specials on game day prerolls mopped up from the floor or shatter that will only fit in Blooms vap pen. Sorry I see Bloom as a carpet bagger trying to set themselves as a tax collector for the state and securing market position forgoing the whole Medical Marijuana voter passed law by the voter in the first place.
This is my opinion thank you for the time and place to state it.
Yup, first rule I learned in Writing 101 was "don't be an idiot". So often we forget that simple lesson.
JM Smith was terrible! His writing style stank! He did everthing they warn new writters not to do. He used way too many clichés and was an idiot. I quit reading his column after I discovered his views and subjects were boring and nonsensical.
I look forward to your column
haha! I get it now Brad...
"now that the cantankerous Mr. Smith is gone. And I won't call people names"
And yet, you just did, although it's an adjective, not a noun. Why not explain why you describe Mr. Smith as such?
I'll take potheads over sanctimonious douchebags like yourself any day, Bob.
Meet the new pothead, same as the old pothead.
If you're complaining about this trash, its because you read it. All the same to an editor. The more comments, the higher the alleged "aggregate" interest in the paper.
Colorado/Washington on & on
So how many cancer patients and people with chronic pain are there out there. They could use help but this is so much crap.
I'm assuming this means that either this column is dead, or the writer is losing the pseudonym and can get back to writing about dispensaries, drug laws and pot-related issues.
Either way, we can all now look back on these past few columns and shake our heads in bewilderment, but with the warm assurance that they are now in our collective past.
Please let this be so,
What in the hell has he been writing about for the past several weeks?
Dropping the F word doesn't make inane self-referential attempts at humor any better. This reminds me of my attempts at writing, which is why I don't write.
We can only hope that Mr. Smith goes into the good night since his writing basically sucks....
Sorry Mr. Smith but maybe you should find a new calling and being the MMJ writer hasn't been a bad gig but it's not your thang! I want to read reviews of the dispensaries, what are the best strains to purchase and what the fuck is really happening with the MMJ scene in Tucson!
Please, please, please. Is this the end of this inane column? Good fucking god. Amateur hour every fucking week. Please, Dan Gibson, let it be so.
"Viola" pretty much sums up this dopey column. I stopped reading right there. Dan, is this pot head local or is this a syndicated column?
Gibson: What the fuck is going on here? This is the most self-indulgent, utterly inane and pointless waste of space. Surely you're gonna terminate this guy, right?
