Re: “Media Watch

The KMXZ morning show is getting old and Bobby Rich is not all that great. Turning the program off in the morning is better than listening to the trio with their editorials and terrible humor.
It will be nice when the winds of change come to KMXZ...evidentally not soon enough.

Re: “Media Watch

Cox and Raycom, what a cat fight.

Congrats to Bobby Rich. What a survivor. I stopped listening to "Mix 94.9" in the mornings after 9-11 and switched to KUAZ, but 94.9 is still a good station for other times of the day. And they do great work in the community.

Re: “Media Watch

Red Star, I'm delighted to hear that you missed Political Roundtable enough to ask about our whereabouts. As we mentioned on last week's episode, we are taking a brief break as the hard-working staff at AZPM does a bit of retooling with Arizona Illustrated. The whole show will be back, if all goes according to plan, on the week of Jan. 21. Political Roundtable will be back on Friday, Jan. 25.

Happy new year!

Re: “Media Watch

Why was Jack Gibson's/AZPM's (your state-run media) "Political Roundtable" not presented last evening on any of the various KUAT-TV channels? No info in the above post by Wick's John Schuster, no info from that Jim Nintzel. There don't seem to be secret answers in that Jack Gibson/AZPM $400 Yanni DVD.

What's up with this?

Re: “Media Watch

KOLD has become a bit of a joke and Cox is so big they cannot lose. Kinda like the flea going up the elephants leg with rape on its mind.

I am glad the IATSE is holding strong here in Tucson!

Re: “Media Watch

What about the epic battle between KOLD and Cox??

Re: “Media Watch

Ha, 1290 changed because a number of different things means corporate said run Cumulus CBS Sports network, or bye bye PD. If they had any guts we'd still hear some of the lame Out Foxed sports programming.

OK, time now for out for another lamo CBS Sports Minute....

Re: “Media Watch

Really? Just what Tucson needs more blathering idiots on the air. Between PBS, Limbaugh, Hannity and Coulter; the air waves are polluted enough.

Re: “Media Watch

The fact that hate mongers like the Savage Weiner(his real last name) has an audience in Tucson affirms my belief that Arizona is populated by some sick minds.

Michael Savage? Seriously? Is someone at KVOI on crack?

Re: “Media Watch

Arnold's editorials weren't his idea... all Raycom GMs do them. Debbie Bush does them now. I'm sure KOLD appreciates your watching... if not actually paying attention.

Re: “Media Watch

I first heard Jim on KOLD AM 1450 doing top 40 on the weekends in the evenings. This was back in 1965 and 1966 when -"The Waz"- Jim Wasley was at KOLD doing evenings weekdays. Anybody remember the "WAZ" ?

Re: “Media Watch

As long as Jim Arnold keeps his filmed editorial opinion pieces out of the mix! Gawd I couldn't stand those and always changed the channel immediately.

Re: “Media Watch

Yeah azaggieone, that's why Oprah Winfrey and Phil Donahue are on food stamps right now, because they never wanted to make a profit. You're living proof conservatives are too dumb to understand how to work a television.

Liberals do not want to make a profit so how can liberal talk survive?

Re: “Media Watch

I miss the progressive talkers tremendously and you folks are wrong- I listen to 1480 from Phoenix on the internet when I can, so I can hear Steph and Ed and Alan at night. I listen to NPR too but I like the progressive option as well. There IS a market for it here- Steph makes me laugh and it's a great way to start the day. Rush and his ilk do not represent the majority here in Tucson and they never will. The future for conservative talk is on the downswing, thank God. The right wing is shooting itself in the foot on a daily basis- it's a joy to see these tea bag types make fools of themselves. They don't have a clue about this country; they are out of touch on social, immigration and economic policy and the more they dig their heels in the more ridiculous they appear.

Re: “Media Watch

Liberal talk radio has been tried over and over again. Wasn't that long ago Al Gore was involved with a start up that went belly up rapidly. People don't want to listen to another left outlet. Mainstream media and NPR has that covered
