Hansen may be pining for Utah, but he's taken plenty of pot shots at the University of Utah's teams over the years -- most recently denigrating their men's basketball coach. Anyway, thanks for one of the better written columns in the TW and good luck with whatever's next!
Is Media Watch now kaput?
Tired of PC, the media is no longer worth watching. They are extensions of political parties controlled by the big money foundation frauds.
Why is this the last media watch, or maybe I should say radio only watch, column? This used to be a good column.......& maybe that's why it's the last.
Really? "Pete Delgado told the Weekly, "(Bob Richardson) Was HARD-ON people"
Is Dino a wop?
Sony Wasu was totally biased in her reporting on a student fight at Sahuaro HS relying on a "source" who was the mother of the "victim" who started the fight. Good riddance.
Best wishes John. Actually both Johns. Do it Schuster!
John Justice just left The Truth 104fm station. Did you know that?
"soon-to-be erstwhile"? That'll be TW's loss...

"Best Buy," "about 20 employees." Face it — John likes to make stuff up.
...not all *too* long ago.
You know...to, too, two, 2, tu.
It gets hard to, too, two, 2, tu keep track sometimes.
Let me help with clearing this up.
Yes, the building was a LaBelles. They also had a a location on the NW corner of 22nd Street and Craycroft Road, long before there was a titty bar in that same "strip mall" (chuckle) that has changed names probably more times than I bothered to change my underwear this week. (I know, ewww! At least I don't go commando; but I digress...)
The location at the NE corner of Fort Lowell Road and Oracle Road (or possibly still very much considered HWY 77 at the time, I'm a bit fuzzy on that because I grew up on the east side of town outside of city limits. Sorry!) changed their name to Best at approximately the same time as the 22nd Street location, which as far as I'm concerned indicates either a buyout or a corporate name change.
If my fuzzy memory serves me right, this all took place at least 25 to 35 years ago; oddly enough, the year 1986 strikes me as correct. Sorry that I'm not more exact on those numbers, this is something that hasn't crossed my mind for years. Although, not all to long ago, possibly about 3 years ago, Mr. Schuster made the same mistake when labeling this area as a former location for Best Buy. Shame on you John! You should read the comments that accompany your articles, you might actually learn something.
I believe the building at Ft. Lowell & Oracle began life as LaBelle's, a Catalog Showroom store, and became a Best & Company for a while (another catalog showroom) before it began to house radio stations.
I thought the store was simply called "Best".
Johnny boy.....shame on you..... a sports guy, no less..... like "stamping grounds," "champing at the bit" comes from horse lingo.... they can't "chomp" on a bit (nor would they want to... the dentist bill would be pricey) because the bit is behind their teeth.... champing, like stamping (with their feet) is usually a sign of nervous energy.... especially when harnessed, it's like saying "let's get this show on the road....."
One of your best columns ever JS. You're actually funny. If you can draw you might eventually replace Fitz.
Not to nitpick. But the building on Oracle and Fort Lowell used to be a LaBelle's (used to work there during college). As for a Best Buy, I don't ever recall that being located there.
Star has big story today about a local health insurer anticipating job cuts next year ... but silence about its own staff reductions.
