"a tall, skinny man wearing sweatpants and a hairnet"

Talk about racial profiling! That could have been ANYBODY!

Well, almost anybody.

Re: “Police Dispatch

Just a glitch, people. One that has hopefully been repaired. Sorry for the deep inconvenience.

Re: “Police Dispatch

Waited for backup? It requires more than one cop to deal with a drunk old man?

Re: “Police Dispatch

I'm sure that the Tucson and Pima County police logs as a whole are fairly boring and mundane. Congratulations to Ms. Mirocha for always finding the most interesting and amusing entries to post the weekly newsletter.

Re: “Police Dispatch

I think this column as you say holds a mirror to the dark underside of Tucson and our society and makes me thank God for the Tucson Police and Pima County Sheriff's stuff they have to deal with that no one else can and will. Yes, they deal day in and day out with many of the worst elements of society and a lot of calls dealing with people with drug, alcohol and mental health issues. And yes you do present it in a snarky and entertaining way.

Re: “Police Dispatch

Thank you for this story, I was truely offended as on the same day Gabbie was shot I lost my sister due to mentail illness. Lets get one thing straight about that day his parents may have tried to get him help, we tried to get her help in fact we had a court order for 180 days of in house treatment. But because she did not quailfy for AHCCCS just medicare, She was "cured" because her insurance refused to pay the bill. Our system is broken and it will only get worse as the State tries to "protect" public safety, now how do we do that when we over tax the system with seriously mentally Ill people who would'nt be there otherwise?
