I have been a fan of our local LUKE’S Chicago Hotdog for 20 years of 101 E. Fort Lowell Road (888-8066), 4444 E. Grant Road (321-9236), but I’ve never been to the Luke’s on Thornydale. Not only was the food late getting to us, my order was wrong. I approached the counter to speak with the young lady who had taken our order and explained that I simply ordered two Chicago dogs and fries (which is on their bright yellow menu) and all I’m missing is my second fries. She responded, “you got what you paid for.” I said yes I got part of my order that I paid for but not all of it. She then began to raise her voice in the crowded little place stating that she is not going to give me the fries so, I can take it or get the hell out.
McDonalds has better service than this and there are kids behind the register, this lady was clearly into her fifties and still no common sense of customer service.
Stay away from this place! We just got billed $543 for a 10 minute visit with the doctor. You know what that $543 got us? A simple "you have a virus and just need to drink lots of water." I kid you not. I paid a doctor over $500 for him to say my wife needs to drink water to alleviate her sore and infected looking throat of over 2 months! My mother works in the hospital as a secretary and was speechless. You can go to the emergency room and get an x-ray cheaper than what these crooks charge! If you need urgent help, go to the hospital emergency room that is only a few blocks away, it will be less than half the price, and they actually have real doctors!
wow talk about BAD service, over priced... bad bad bad, I went in with my children and right away got the cold shoulder. It took the waitress well over an hour to even serve our salads and appetizer, and when I ordered shirly temples for my 3 kids (ages 2,4 and 12) she brought them all in wine glasses... for a 2 year old! they were out of some main greek dishes and after complaining about the wait the manager did not even come over to check on me. I went on 2 separate occasions because I beleive in 2nd chances and both times were very bad experiances!
Cheesy low budget sushi. One time I got a piece of glass in my sushi rice. The owner tried to just give me a free dessert to make up for it. I should have sued.
I quit going to this place. The owner flat out refused to give us hot towels unless we sat at the sushi bar. The service got increasingly horrible. One night the waiter seemed to be on drugs and broke down crying at our table over some misperception he had over another customer. The place is run down and dirty. The sushi was big portions but I think it was mediocre at best. I strongly suggest going elsewhere like to sushi on Oracle.
Past it's prime, snotty service, food VERY mediocre and VERY expensive. Great wine list but after being insulted by the maitre 'd and the captain, disgusting Cesar salad made table side and so-so entrees; no wine in the world could have made this experience worth the time or money! Skip it and save both for one of our many worthy local Tucson restaurants!
I would not recommend the cazuelitas event center. I had my wedding there in April and the service was horrible. The contract we signed was not followed as promised. The wedding cake that was supposed to be included in the package was made out of frosted wood. Who in their right mind has a fake wedding cake. Tried to call and complain but the owner was not available. The staff assigned that night could not believe it either. To top it all off the owner is my new wifes family. If that's how they treat family imagine what they do to those that are not related. As of today they have not called to see how everything went. They don't deserve the one star I gave them. Maybe a quarter of a star.
Ate there on 5-3-2011 The waitress we had had an attitude, she forgot one of our coffee's and when we asked for it she wasn't very happy. She almost dumped water on us, and proceeded to tell the cook about it....then we were worried about what was going to come out of the kitchen. The tortilla that came with breakfast was as hard as a rock, and wouldn't come off the plate...it was stuck! We turned the plate upside down and it still would not come off. If this waitress were one of my employee's, I would have fired her. Not only was breakfast bad (we had a party of 5) for all of us, the wait was extremely long. I still left a tip and told her that the only reason why I did was so that she would have a better day...her response..."Whatever"
Save your money, time, and palate... eat somewhere else.
Surly, slow service. Weird pureed "lentil" soup with no discernible lentils - tasted like Campbell's cream of tomato with dry herb garnish. The beef, lamb, chicken were gristly, un-choice cuts, overcooked, unmarinated, tasteless. Hummous was ho-hum, baba ghanoush disappointingly bland. Only the tabouli salad had any flavor. WARNING: Prices are more expensive in person than listed on their website, overly generous gratuity added automatically to check. Smallish portions considering price. VERY UNSATISFYING MEAL.
They really dont know how to cook veal. One dish that promised prosciutto used slices of processed deli ham. An osso bucco dish used pork shank instead of veal. Their wine selection is poor- no thought whatsoever to their wine list. Just a random sampling of ordinary Italian and California selections one would find at Wal-mart. Service is very spotty and unprofessional. Prices not competitive with other more authentic Italian bistros in the area. Avoid at all costs.
Food is ok but the service is terrible. Last time I went I waited ten minutes for someone to come out to seat us or even acknowledge our existence. Just left. Haven't been back since.
I agree with the last comment. Horrible experience the last time I was having dinner outside. The silverware was dirty, and I saw a cockaroach lying on it's back underneath the next table. I informed those in charge, and no action seemed to be taken. Wonder what the kitchen is full of
Yeah the food is good... when you get it! The service is ridiculous!! I guess quality service isn't what it used to be to say the least. I waited an hour for 2 measly tacos, and asked to speak to the manager. He didn't care one bit. Luckily my server did, and even commented that she would've done the same thing. The manager is a coward and an idiot. I refuse to go back!! It's cheap food so I guess it's expected that they don't care either... enjoy!

Bad service and woefully over priced!
Finally got around to trying this place. Picked up the Lamb Shwarma with Rice for $13 and the Baklava for $3....
Firstly, they were 20 MINUTES LATE WITH MY ORDER so, needless to say that, by the time the bag finally actually showed up, I didn't really bother to check the contents, just blindly trusted that there was enough actual food in the containers to feed a person.
When I got home however, I opened it up to discover- I kid you not (I seriously had to get out my measuring cups to check) 1/4 cup of both a salad and some of the MOST TASTELESS AND DRIEST "Saffron" rice imaginable, and, in comparison to that skimpy portioning a "generous" 1/3 of a cup of tiny dribbles of meat with- and I had to count this part too, 4 of the tiniest "slices" of onion I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE outside of a McDonald's burger!!!!
Seriously, I had to get a spoon because the meat dribbles weren't even big enough to scoop up with a fork- much less spear! And, of course, it was pretty much fat and grizzle (how in the seven hells they managed to make actual FAT dry too- I honestly don't even want to know- I mean, I'm the first to admit that a chef's only as good as the quality of their ingredients- and that was obviously the majority of the problem but COME ON!!!!!)
Now, I'll grant, the baklava was good.... all three bites of it....
But, needless to say that given that I was starving at the time, I still managed to choke it down and, obviously, even after polishing everything off, I had to get up and make an ACTUAL dinner for myself.
Sooooo not going back because, I can only surmise that, they've somehow spied out the critics and gave them VIP treatment of some kind here- because these portions at these prices with this piss-poor service and bad quality of ingredients SERIOUSLY SUCKS!
Not even worth reviewing! I was also there on Valentine weekend and ended up going to eat at another business after. Show was tacky however I will say I enjoyed Trixy. The food was less than inedible, they offered two drinks you can't get more of anything even if you ask. They serve frozen cheesecake factory cheesecake (the only okay part of the night). FOR SURE NOT WORTH THE MONEY OR THE TIME!!!!
We waited in a line on valentines day, our reservations were for 7:30 we were seated around 8:15. We then sat for an additional 15 min. until bread and water arrived. The bread was a good sourdough but nothing special, after another 15min our drink order was taken.
Ahhh, an hour after our designated reservation I at last had wine quenching my lips. The calamari was overcooked and not in it's traditional "squid like" shape (rings or tentacles) but rather an odd eel shaped thing with rather tender meat that was quite pleasing had it not been treated as an unwanted french fry in a fast food restaurant. The mushroom caps were nothing special, just the flavor of undercooked mushrooms in garlic and onion, that begged for a hint of crab or scallops to make it unique. The veal was not tender and there may be some truth to the above post of pork masquerading as tender young beef. The flavors of the dish did not seem to infuse with each other, as though the wine sauce, lemons, capers, artichokes, and meat had only briefly met one another under a heat lamp on my plate moments before arriving at my table. The eggplant Parmigiana suffered the same fate as the calamari in the deep fryer. Although I had ordered Linguine I found the spaghetti sauce very tasty. The vegetables one would have to imagine were supposed to be al-dente but seemed to be fresh out of the garden al-duro (quite raw). When asked if we had room for desert we decided to gamble on the contents of the refrigerator at home. Maybe we hit them on an off night during a busy time, but the next $100 we spend on a meal won't be at Verona's.
No comparison to Feigs, tried it for the first time the other day. Lousy, had a roast beef san, meat was med/well, sliced too thick and tough, the kaiser roll was a supermarket mass produced burger bun. No mas, $8 is better spent elsewhere.
Their slogan should read, "Denny's, It doesn't getting any worse than this."
Horrendous! I walked in, was not greeted nor seated for 5 minutes until I sat myself. The only waitress in there had acknowledged me, yet done nothing but sit down and eat her lunch. After I stared her down for 4 whole minutes she brought me a menu, still neglecting to say a word to me, as she walked back to her lunch to resume eating. Quickly I decided what I wanted, a full ten minutes went by before I walked out. Good thing that disgusting, lazy, rudy waitress didnt bring me a water; or she might have had to get up and take it back once I walked out. I will never step foot in there again, and advise others to save their time and money. I'm a waitress, that is unacceptable, she should be fired.
