If your starving go there and eat. Otherwise, stay away.

Re: “The Big Hat Bar and Grill

This place is under new management and is now a great place to visit. The owner and his wife are very friendly and make you feel right at home. The Mexican menue is typical, but the quality of the food is way above average. The pozole, which is available only a couple of days a week can't be surpassed. It has to be the best in the Tucson area and if you are lucky enough to be there when they have it, you're in for a real treat. The chef really knows how to cook terrific Mexican food that is fresh and delicious. The second time we went we had the enchaladas and the tamales and we were not the least bit disappointed. Everything was moist and flavorful and could'nt have been better. If you happen to be driving south on Nogales Highway, don't pass up the opportunity to enjoy this great family run bar and grill, or better yet, set it as your destination and plan a trip to eat there as soon as you can. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Re: “Luke's Italian Beef

These places could use a good scrubbing, but must be ok with
the health department. Have been to Luke's on Ft Lowell as well
as the one on Grant. Big difference in the amount of meat put onto
the sandwiches. Ft. Lowell site knows how to load up the bun,
much more stingy at the Grant location. The Italian Beef is
fantastic!!

Re: “Bai Thong

This place is phenomenal. I love everything about it. For those naysayers.. Good, that means I will always be able to get a table there.

Re: “Papa Locos Tacos and Burgers

Papa Locos is sooooo goood. Actually you can grab a six pack of beer next door and bring it in to the restaurant. Alot cheaper than paying $4-5 for a beer at other places.

Re: “Rita Watters Art Gallery and Crafters Gift Shop

Even though I am one of the crafters in Rita's gallery I am amazed at how professional Rita does this job. She is always pleasant even when I know she is in a lot of pain. Her artwork is stunning!! Naturally I am going to tell you that the leatherwork is some of the best you'll find because I'm Dan Cole (Valhalla Leatherwork) & I've got some of my work there. But the other crafters are absolutely some of the best also. Rita has high standards for both her work & the work that she sells for us, the crafters that use her gallery.

If you walk thru the store you will want to make sure that there is enough money in your account so that you can buy at least one of each item that the crafters make & display there. You can also make special orders with both Rita & the crafters in the shop.

If I add any more it is just going to be like patting myself on the back. Go to Trail Dust Town & go into the Rita Watters Art & Crafters Gallery & see for yourself. You'll wonder why you hadn't seen anything or heard anything about this place before. You will truly find some of the best artwork & crafted items in Southeast Arizona. They will stand up against & match any other type of work in both quality & originality. You'll be proud to own either Rita's artwork or the crafters work & will proudly display it in your home or office.

Thanks,
Dan Cole
Owner of Valhalla Leatherwork

Re: “Vaudeville

grapla.blogspot.com/2012/09/tgif-weekly-ca…

or

As most of you know. I left DT Tucson Vaudeville on Congress back in June. I was running that spot doing most of the bookings and also had my TGIF Friday night. The Owners and family-in worker(s) were just lazy, had no clue about anything, rude, and were not on top of their business along with not caring about the music scene as much as me. I was doing all the contact, booking, setting up work while they sit there and profited. Whats positive about this bad situation is learning the business ins and outs and what to do and what not to do. This made me a better person/DJ/Artist and outstanding business entity.- Grap

Re: “Red Hills Visitor Center (Saguaro National Park West)

Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Everyone takes their time explaining the details of the park. They give suggestions for walks, short or long. They remind everyone to drink a lot of water, use sunscreen often and wear a hat & sunglasses. I am handicapped and I was able to go for walks too. It is beautiful.

Re: “The Canyon's Crown Restaurant and Pub

We visited this restaurant with a large group of people and our waitress was wonderful. She managed to get all our orders correct and had a wonderful smile the entire time. Everyone enjoyed the food, this place is great can't wait to visit it again!

Re: “Salty Dawg II

KJ Sean is by far one of the best KJ's I have ever met. He has the most diverse and comprehensive collection of song choices and provides a fun experience.

The Venue, Salty Dawg, while a bit congested at times, provides friendly and fast service.

TMW is a must see whether its at the Salty Dawg or a street corner!

Re: “Guadalajara Grill West

I go to the Guadalajara Grill West

at Least 2 times per month for Happy Hour

Great Place to Chill; Beer and Margarita's are great.

Fresh Chips and Salsa; The Owner Emma is very customer service oriented

and plus she is easy on the eyes.

The bartenders Ramon and Christina are great.

I give this place a 10.
