Great neighborhood bar, 2 dollar bottle beer and well drinks , good jukebox and friendly owners and clientele
Wow! I don't know what the first reviewer is talking about. Sounds like a punk to me. I have only recently started doing business with Magic Tower with the release of Innistrad. The owner (I think his name is Matt) has always been very helpful and informative. I have learned a lot about MTG from him. I have found him to be generous in his dealings and he offers excellent prices. He is always inviting me to come to the store and play, but I haven't gotten around to it yet. I am on my way over there today to see if I can still get in on the pre-order for Dark Ascension. I have recommended Magic Tower to my friends and will continue to do so.
Went there last weekend the drinks were cheap with good service. The pool was only 50 cents and the jukebox was 25 cents. My new go to bar.
The best bar that Tucson has to offer. Built on great drinks and pool tables this establishment has been around longer than most Tucsonan's can remember. Thanks to Matt,Tara,Jackie,Russ, and everyone else at The Garter the food and the atmosphere are truly top notch. My home away from home for many years and I still love the juke box. The best juke box in Tucson. Food, drink,or just a good time the Red Garter is the place to go!!!
This is a great small theater for independent film.
What I liked about the dining and theatrical experience most was the humor. It's a great location and the food was good. No suggestions for improvements as it was all excellent! (Super Sleuth Award prize winner:)
Highly recommend it! The lomo saltado was superb!!
This is a great place to hear very good jazz. The performers are students and you will be stunned to find out how young they are when you hear their music. They are very polished and really know how to swing. The performances are in the outdoor patio by the pool which contains a fire pit. It's a great way to spend an evening.
I've been eating at Mi Nidito's for 22 years, and I've never been disappointed. It is simply delicious, authentic Tucson style Mexican food. It's always been worth the wait, and I've always had great, friendly service. The owners and everyone working there always welcomed our large family, and my kids always enjoyed looking at the many colorful decorations. I love the tacos, both the ground beef patties and shredded beef. The chili in the chili relleno is always crisp and flowing with hot, white melted cheese that is to die for. The beans are always the perfect consistency. This is absolutely my favorite restaurant.
The service is always great!!!!! The owner is friendly and the food is excellent! We have been going to the Indian Oven for the last 13 years, and our boys just love this wonderful, tasty, well-prepared food. There is nothing like a whole-hearty meal with meat, rice, and vegetables! We highly recommend
it to your family.
I don't know what the previous reviewer is talking about. The owner is outgoing, welcoming and his store is very clean and professional.
I am 100% sure his review is only one side of a story where he was being an asshole to the owner. The customer does not have the right to be an asshole to a store clerk or store owner.
The article does not give this place enough credit. I have been there many times since the restaurant opened and have had nothing but great food and service. The parking at the Tucson mall is horrible but Brio is worth the walk. Crab cakes are some the best I have ever had. The writer comments on them being frozen?? I saw them prepared with my own eyes at the Plaza Palomino Lobster event in November and they were not frozen. Of course they need to time to cook and get hot. Obviously the writer is not a cook.
Boondocks does an excellent job of promoting a large diversity of live music. One of the best venues in Tucson for the many genres covers.
It was a lot of FUN. Please keep up the good work. The location is pretty good. We would recomend it.
I've eaten here with transplanted New Yorkers who thought it was very good and dined here with a Jewish friend who loved the matzoh ball soup as it reminded her of how her family fixed it growing up.
The pastrami sandwich is enormous and tasty. The free pickles to nibble on while waiting for the meal to arrive is also a nice touch.
I think they finally got the stench of cigarette smoke out of there. It took a few years. Not bad bar. Acoustics OK. Lot of room. Also have gotten rid of most of the trouble makers from the old days of Neon Prophet. Kitchen has surprisingly good fare. All in all I think I have to give it 5 stars.
RE: "The Desert Cadillacs"
Tucson's best classic rock band does it again with DANCIN' music from every genre! They added magic to the 11/11/11 grand opening! Tight harmonies, innovative arrangements, classic tunes and awesome instrumentals. I hear they play for private parties, special events, and weddings. When are they comin' back??!!! They're a true HIDDEN GEM in Tucson!!
The carnitas are so good, melts in your mouth. The price is average for this type of place. You will not be disappointed. The previous rating of 1star is totally off base. They do not know what good food taste like
Re: “Whiskey Tango”
Great live music! Good drink specials and nice smoking patio. Love this place!
