It gets all five stars because I can’t think of a competitor. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly without over-reaching. Great selection of wild bird food and garden accoutrements for the feathery folk.
Hands down best wine store in Tucson. Best wine tastings, best service and best wines. A little hard to find and doesn't look like much but well worth the effort.
We've moved offices and are now located at 990 E 17th St, #100, Tucson, AZ 85719

A truly fun experience with a very knowledgeable store keeper. Carries a variety of local and regional sauces, syrups, honeys and jellies that are not easily found elsewhere.
Only decent grocery store in Tucson. Terrific produce selection and quality, best butcher case and the ONLY place left in town to buy seafood. With the typical Tucsonan's taste for chain restaurants, it's hard to believe they stay in business.
This truly is wonderful to see Rainbow Jewelers has been voted to be the Best Jewelry in Tucson because they REALLY ARE. That have been in Tucson so long and they are so honest. I;m glad to see Tucson consumers have voted right. The jewelry they have in the store is so wonderful and unique and high quality. The service is great and you know you are getting fine jewelry, great price along with great customer service. My husband bought so many wonderful gifts from Rainbow over the years. Michael has fixed so many repairs on my jewelry too. His wife is so talented and helps you with your designs too. What a a great couple and a beautiful store. Congrats to you guys!
Great store with a variety of antique items and a huge selection of military items: medals, decorations current and from other countries. It's a must see!!

Love this place you NEED to go there. The first Hookah Lounge to open in Tucson Az.
A wonderful place, Tucson is lucky to have it. Before you go to a big box wine store, stop here and you'll keep coming back. The owner is very full of wine knowledge and has never let us down with a recommendation. Go there!!!!
Have you ever wanted to learn about wine without appearing ignorant around wine snobs? Well, I found Cata Vinos was just the place. Imagine relaxing in a comfortable atmosphere, sampling a variety of tasty wines. You will find the staff knowledgable & helpful, the patrons friendly, and the well stocked shop has something for everyone.....all under $15! Wonderful fun to go with a party of friends, although I'm just as comfortable going alone. Very welcoming.
A very well-kept secret! What a jewel. Most unique place for wine and wine tastings. Nice to know you are getting a good value (everything is under $15, but has to "pass mustard" to be in the shop) - even without the wine tastings! Highly recommend CataVinos!!
Tucson's greatest little niche for wine! Great place to find affordable wines that you like (and not just the labels) ... and meet new friends, bonding over palates! Great place to take those out-of-town guests too, always a great theme tasting each week.
A great place to shop for delicious and affordable wine. Yvonne and her staff search the marketplace for those rare and up-and-coming wines to stock in the store and keep things fresh and interesting. Cata Vinos is out in front of the pack while the big box stores still lag behind the Tucson wine scene. Plus the wines are less than $15.
My partner and I love to start our weekends off at Cata Vinos for the Thrusday or Friday night wine tasting. Yvonne (owner) always has great wines selected for the tastings and we usually pick up a bottle or six from the tasting to take home and enjoy. It's a warm, friendly place were we can get together at the end of the week and relax or meet friends and catch up over delicious, very reasonably priced wines. Even though we live in Vail, we just have to get our regular Cata Vinos fix...it's definitely worth the trip.
I HIGHLY recommend Catavinos and its owner Yvonne Foucher. Catavinos is a nice little bodega on the East side of town. It has a wonderful variety of foreign and domestic wines and a ceiling price, in the store, of $15.99. Catavinos offers a fine atomosphere for shopping, tasting, and learning about wines. Yvonne is a VERY knowledgeable and friendly proprietor who always has a smile and a tip on the latest tasty addition to her bodega. We live more than 20 miles from Catavinos, don't get there as often as we'd like, but still stop in to stock up whenever we're in the neighborhood. Despite not seeing us as often as her regulars, Yvonne remembers us, our tastes in wine, and greets us warmly. Don't take my word for it. I urge you to try Catavinos for yourself and note why it is a delightful difference on the landscape of Tucson wine stores!
At the top of my list for a place to get together with friends and get to meet others. The price is right at under $15 per bottle.
I regularly get together with friends for wine tasting at Cata Vinos... Our form of happy hour. You can't beat the comfortable setting nor the prices for a great wine selection!
This place is a treat to behold. Whether you bring something home or not, both of their locations are sources of inspiration, and it goes without saying that the ladies who run Bon are quite inspiring and beautiful themselves! One of my favorite places to go when I can't seem to get out of a rut. Thank you Bon!
I love this place. The girls that work there are so helpful and really listened to my needs and concerns. I was ready to buy yest so they sampled everything I was interested in. They even wrote directions on the order of use. They also have a spa that I can't wait to try!!!
Cat Mountain Station is really unusual. If you don’t live in the SW part of town you may think it is out of the way, but once you have been there you will go back again and again. One of the major draws is Coyote Pause Café, which is getting rave reviews from local papers (including The Weekly) and whose loyal following seems to be growing. At any rate, they keep getting busier every time I go there! Fortunately the highly professional staff always stays on top of things, and does it with style and a smile.
The really entertaining place to visit is Cat Mountain Emporium. This is the largest resale/consignment store in this part of town, and you literally never know what you might find there next. Among the things I have seen for sale there: an antique Grandfather clock, Native American turquoise and silver jewelry, John Wayne collectables, a brand-new cowboy hat that fit perfectly for half the price I’d have paid anywhere else, and a great selection of hand woven Mexican blankets and rugs. They carry old kitchen utensils, linens, cowboy boots, furniture, and an amazing selection of jewelry. Just walking around this store is an hour’s entertainment.
There’s also a frame shop and gallery, an art gallery, a hand-made furniture shop, a bead store, and I hear a rumor that there is soon to be a store specializing in Native American arts, crafts, and music.
This place makes a great stop to take visitors if you are headed to the Desert Museum or Old Tucson, because it’s just down the road from those places. But it really makes a destination of its own, because you could spend a whole day there and really enjoy it. They have Art and Craft Fairs during the tourist season as well, and the setting and landscaping is so beautiful that it has recently been chosen to host a wedding. The whole station is open every day but Monday; individual shop hours vary.
