Great place to eat breakfast. We love Candace, she is very funny and we love the cooks, talk about fast!! We get into Tucson about once a month and try and get to Franks for their Huevos Rancherous on Thursday . This place rocks it
This place was awesome
Very good. This the most authentic Chinese food I've ever try in Tucson!!!
Horrible experience. Rude waitress. Food was great but I won't be treated that way again. Never going back
Bad experience ordered the enchiladas de la case huge portion but no sauce. I mean no sauce when I asked for sour cream the waiter started they didn't serve sour cream. So what's up the sauce for the dish is mostly sour cream. Just saying if your out of something don't serve it have assed.
The email address is actually email@example.com -- include the "bbq" at the end!
We opted for this restaurant for our Sunday lunch and I am thrilled to have found a diamond in the rough! Since moving here from the Bay Area years ago, we usually wait to eat Thai on our visits back to CA, but not any more. The dishes we chose were nothing short of amazing, including the tofu spring rolls, Gang Garee, and Tom Yum Gai. The crushed peanut sauce for the spring rolls was a delightful nuance to add to the appetizer's appeal. The Gang Garee was an experience that makes me want to get it again next time and yet I'm dying to try the other dishes to see if they have the same complexity of flavors and aromas. Very reasonably priced and served promptly, I only have two words of caution. First, don't be deterred by the appearance of the place itself (very clean and comfortable, just a little plain.) Second, pay attention to the pepper meter on the menu. The Gang Garee is a single pepper rating, but was about as spicy as I can comfortably go, and the Tom Yum Gai is a solid 3 for intensity of spiciness as well as flavor. I can't wait to take our next visitors from out of town!

The "rude" woman serves as hostess, waitron, and cashier. There's one chef- the owner. Yes, the place is old and icky. They still have the best Thai food in town. Get take-out. Call wa-a-a-a-a-ay ahead. They'll give you the order total over the phone. The food is totally worth it.
Love this place. The food, service and atmosphere are excellent :) They are slightly expensive, but it evens out if you go during happy hour. Great fries and wine selection! I've never had anything I didn't like there.
I've had a lot of things from their menu over the times I've been there and have always loved it. Favorites include their messy fries, ribs and the ice cream! Always pleasant service, too. Highly recommend!
Great food, but the service could use some work. The owner is nice to customers but doesn't seem to treat servers very well.
Wow, I'm shocked at the bad reviews on here. There's 0% chance that a anyone had an experience like that-- and those users only ever gave one review....hmmmm. They are always kind to everyone and have some of the best tasting food in Tucson. I hope people see past the negativity and give it a shot. It's my go-to for lunch dates with friends I meet up with downtown. The only bummer is they only accept cash-- but I go at least twice a month so obviously it's not a deal breaker lol. They have like 4(?) kinds of fresh juice and their combination plate is always an enjoyable surprise. I highly recommend their chicken mole and their vegetarian tamale :)
Not sure what Mo is trying to pass off as veal but it looked and tasted like deli turkey. It should be illegal to fradulently advertise and serve something that isnt.
Look forward to this place closing.
I have eaten here a number of times now and enjoyed the food, service and ambiance more than any other Indian restaurant I've ever been to. I felt so confident in this restaurant that I finally talked my son-in-law from England into trying it!! After 12 years in the states he said he finally found a proper Indian restaurant! Being from England and being that Indian food is his favorite, I think that is a great compliment! Keep up the superb work Saffron!
I stopped in from Alaska while visiting a friend in Tucson. Turned into a wonderful evening. Yvonne made me feel like I was one of the family. Great experience and I am going to miss the tastings until I can get back there again. It's on my list when I return.
Weekend wine tastings at CataVinos are fantastic. Along with your 6 tastes (amazingly priced at just $10.00!!!) you get gourmet cheese as well as palette cleansers. Yvonne also has a really nice assortment of reasonably priced cheeses, meats, and crackers for purchase to accompany your wine. After your tasting you can purchase a glass of your choice for just $5.00. Each week the wine list is built around a clever theme so you can go every weekend and be sure to taste completely different wines. I've gone there on a whim on my own, planned with friends, and had many personal parties there and I always bring out of town guests there. The atmosphere is lovely both inside the shop and outside on the patio. This is one of the best spots for Tucson fun and a great way to support local business!
need to remove this. no longer there
