MT. LEMMON IS A PLAYGROUND IN OUR OWN BACKYARD. IT HAS MORE TO OFFER THAN ANYONE COULD EXPERIENCE IN A LIFETIME. BUY THE YEARLY PASS AND GO EVERY WEEK.

Re: “Hacienda del Sol

I was at HDS a month ago, and it was like losing an old friend. The Grill had always been one of my favorites, true unaffected Arizona style, comfortable setting, good food. A place to relax with family and friends. It has changed for the worse. Now there is an amuse bouche, how un-western can you get and little cups of chocolate. The service which used to be quiet and unassuming, now is trying to be like New York. Pretentious and overbearing. I will say the steak was perfection, so all is not lost. However, the other diners reported they were not so lucky and much of the dinner went uneaten.

Re: “CataVinos Wine Shop and Tasting Room

I enjoy visiting Cata Vinos but find it too expensive. $20 a couple adds up so I don't visit as often as I would like. Beverage House has tasting for $2 and they throw in cheese and crackers, too. The selection is great and Yvonne is very welcoming, however, I wish she would drop her tasting price.

Re: “CataVinos Wine Shop and Tasting Room

Tucson's greatest little niche for wine! Great place to find affordable wines that you like (and not just the labels) ... and meet new friends, bonding over palates! Great place to take those out-of-town guests too, always a great theme tasting each week.

Re: “CataVinos Wine Shop and Tasting Room

A great place to shop for delicious and affordable wine. Yvonne and her staff search the marketplace for those rare and up-and-coming wines to stock in the store and keep things fresh and interesting. Cata Vinos is out in front of the pack while the big box stores still lag behind the Tucson wine scene. Plus the wines are less than $15.

Re: “CataVinos Wine Shop and Tasting Room

My partner and I love to start our weekends off at Cata Vinos for the Thrusday or Friday night wine tasting. Yvonne (owner) always has great wines selected for the tastings and we usually pick up a bottle or six from the tasting to take home and enjoy. It's a warm, friendly place were we can get together at the end of the week and relax or meet friends and catch up over delicious, very reasonably priced wines. Even though we live in Vail, we just have to get our regular Cata Vinos fix...it's definitely worth the trip.

Re: “CataVinos Wine Shop and Tasting Room

This is a great place to wine-taste with friends as well as find wonderful wines at affordable prices. Yvonne and her staff are helpful and friendly. There's a large variety of wines, something for everybody's taste and pocketbook. The weekly wine-tastings are a great way to introduce yourself to the shop as well as meet your friends for a little socializing. For $10 you get 6 generous pours and, if you buy a bottle, the tasting is only $8. This is one terrific wine shop!

Re: “CataVinos Wine Shop and Tasting Room

I HIGHLY recommend Catavinos and its owner Yvonne Foucher. Catavinos is a nice little bodega on the East side of town. It has a wonderful variety of foreign and domestic wines and a ceiling price, in the store, of $15.99. Catavinos offers a fine atomosphere for shopping, tasting, and learning about wines. Yvonne is a VERY knowledgeable and friendly proprietor who always has a smile and a tip on the latest tasty addition to her bodega. We live more than 20 miles from Catavinos, don't get there as often as we'd like, but still stop in to stock up whenever we're in the neighborhood. Despite not seeing us as often as her regulars, Yvonne remembers us, our tastes in wine, and greets us warmly. Don't take my word for it. I urge you to try Catavinos for yourself and note why it is a delightful difference on the landscape of Tucson wine stores!

Re: “CataVinos Wine Shop and Tasting Room

This is one of those fabulous hidden gems of Tucson; tucked away on a corner just one block south of River on the southwest corner, CataVinos is owned by Yvonne Foucher....she creates a wonderfully intimate, warm, and fun environment, with great art shows changing about every 6 weeks, lots of good value wines, and knows her stuff. Whether you go for a wine tasting, or just drop in to buy a bottle or two, you will get excellent value for your money, and a terrific experience. Yvonne, and her staff, are more than willing to help, assist, guide you in making good decisions, and opening you to try new wines.

Re: “CataVinos Wine Shop and Tasting Room

At the top of my list for a place to get together with friends and get to meet others. The price is right at under $15 per bottle.

Re: “Lucky Strike Bowling Center

Lucky Strike gave my friends the best time of their lives! We push to go every day of Winter Break! Everyone loved it! I even won 2 stuffed animals on the crane machine.

Re: “Holy Hope Cemetery

I tryed to use an outside granite place to have a marker made ( which is our right) and they were not at all helpful. They did everything to make my life a living hell. Do not use this cemetery unless you want to be alive and go to hell with how they treat you.

Re: “Eckankar Center

I love this church. A place where I can get great tools for helping me with the challenges in my life and outside of the box answers for my concerns. Also I love the fact that this is about my direct link with God and the Holy Spirit, and my unique way. So wonderful!

Re: “Eckankar Center

Very friendly atmosphere where people share their Love for God. An extensive library of books to borrow. A place where people don't "push" their beliefs on others and yet are open to share their experiences.

Re: “AJ's Fine Foods

Why pay less when you can pay a lot more? If it weren't for the unique selections this place wouldn't last, even in the snobby part of Tucson. Anyhow, the floral manager, forgot her name, was rude. She may be gone as that was two years ago when I dealt with her.

Re: “Bon

This place is a treat to behold. Whether you bring something home or not, both of their locations are sources of inspiration, and it goes without saying that the ladies who run Bon are quite inspiring and beautiful themselves! One of my favorite places to go when I can't seem to get out of a rut. Thank you Bon!
