A wonderful place, Tucson is lucky to have it. Before you go to a big box wine store, stop here and you'll keep coming back. The owner is very full of wine knowledge and has never let us down with a recommendation. Go there!!!!

If you call and leave a message they will call you back. 319-9966
They don't always have what I'd call bargain basement prices but the selection as well as the overall feel one gets when visiting bookman's is nice.
Best thing about this Bookmans is the vast selection and funky staff. Plus you can go next door to get coffee, sandwiches, and/or a chocolate to die for cake. There is also wifi, so why not? Of course you're not going to get many new releases here, but you can always trade them in here. And since I'm an audiobook fan, let me put in a plug for those who have yet to try them. This is a good place to find some classics and full cast audiobooks for car and home. Once you're hooked, you'll be downloading them regularly. --J.L. TowerReview.com
Music in the dog room is uplifting...not! It does the trick though. Just need James Reel to DJ. I'm sad and happy in the dog room at the same time.
The worst cross-fit gym in Tucson. I was a member at this gym, until I noticed people getting injured, not using good technique or form!!! The owner of this gym- Jennifer Higgins is totally strange. She drops people for not following a paleo diet, or participating as fully as she expects. If the ownership of this gym was better, I think it would be a much better place. It is dirty and small and the trainers aren't exceptional. Save your money!!! There are much better/cleaner/nicer/professional Xfits in Tucson.
Rural Metro will be getting a letter for the bad behavior of a paramedic who was thinking as if he was a police officer and acting as a Dr. diagnosing the patient to only having the flu. WRONG!!!! The head officer or Capt. of that station 71 needs to teach his people proper people skills and bed side manners. It so happened that the patient ended up having not the flu and was hospitalized for a whole week. That patient happened to be my mother. I am not happy with the actions of a certain paramedic and will not mention his name. But I will be writting a letter to the proper authorities and supervisor of that individual. It was as if it was a bother to come out an respond to the call. My mother also had to have surgery two days later. I just hope that this type of treatment does not continue. This was not the first time it happened to us. This was the second time in less then a 1 month period. There will two letters with two different date of the occurances and being two complaints on the same individual. What ever happened to the GOOD SAMARITAN!!
I am really mad about this that I am really considering talking to a good lawyer on filling a Lawsuit. My ratings for you are beyond the lowest of the lowest anyone can ever rate.
Would love to attend, but cannot reach anyone to find out where to purchase tickets or if a dance floor will be provided. No dance floor??? Ridiculous!!! It's the Texas Tornadoes--you can't just sit and listen. Wake up someone!!! Answer your phone with a real person--PLEASE___ Evie Kubis email@example.com
The Tucson Jewish Community Center really is the "Center" of the community. Operating under Jewish values and principles, the JCC is not a religious institution, but rather a cultural, recreational, educational, and social programs to the whole community.
Featuring something for everyone, from 6 weeks to 120 years, the "J" offers a nationally-accredited pre-school, full gym, tennis facility, cafe, auditorium/ballroom, fine art gallery and nationally-recognized sculpture garden. You can even have your wedding at the J!
Everyone is welcome at the JCC!
There's a hipster feel to all of the Buffalo Exchanges, but this is my favorite location and the staff location have always been really friendly to me. Regardless, there are amazing finds here with even more incredible prices, and everything is in good shape--this is no tatty, frumpy thrift store. It's also nice to be able to make a few bucks by selling them clothes you no longer wear, though they're pretty picky about what they'll buy (which makes sense; if they bought crap they'd sell crap). It's a great place to jazz up the wardrobe without spending much.
On July 10, a group of writers, known collectively as Gecko Gals Ink, held a book signing at Bookmans on Grant Road. On behalf of that collection of sassy Tucson authors who are 'differently expertised', I'm extending a sincere thank you to Travis Tripp, the manager, as well as to all the employees in that location, for making our experience one we will long remember.
Despite predictions of rain, a continual throng of book sellers and buyers packed that venue , allowing us to have truly inspiring chats with readers of all genres. Readers are the reasons writers have put pen to papyrus and paper, and fingers to keyboards over the centuries.
It was heartening to watch and talk to Tucson readers – including the kids (thank you parents). Keep on reading and supporting Independent bookstores – and we'll keep on writing and reading and supporting Independent bookstores.
What a fantastic community are the readers and writers. On behalf of Gecko Gals Ink, I am Mary Ann Hutchison (Carol Costa, Jude Johnson, D. H. Palmer and Ashleen O'Gaea). Watch for us at the other Bookmans and Independent book stores in and around Tucson or join us at http://geckogalsink.blogspot.com
Have you ever wanted to learn about wine without appearing ignorant around wine snobs? Well, I found Cata Vinos was just the place. Imagine relaxing in a comfortable atmosphere, sampling a variety of tasty wines. You will find the staff knowledgable & helpful, the patrons friendly, and the well stocked shop has something for everyone.....all under $15! Wonderful fun to go with a party of friends, although I'm just as comfortable going alone. Very welcoming.
The food is fantastic. Unlike anything you can get anywhere in Tucson. We never cease to be surprised by the appetizers and delighted by the entrees. There is a great selection of wine. It is not inexpensive but the food is unforgettable. We love to get appetizers and drinks in the bar when out on a date night or when the budget requires.
Not to be missed - go for a horseback ride at the stables and then pop in the bar for a drink to relax afterwards. What a wonderful place - nothing like their cactus garden and historic property, great riding stable and knockout food. It truly is a gem.
Unfortunately, thus event has been cancelled. We're sorry for the inconvenience. --Pima County Public Library 5/28/10
Carolyn Anderson is the best!
Best dealer service in town, unbelievable clean operation!
The community is awesome. Even if the owners are a little off setting at first they are great people and have built a great gym community. The trainers are very skilled but also friendly, and the other gym members are insanely supportive.
I was a patient in this facility, and I have to say this is one of the best places out there. They have a wonderful, and caring staff! They really are cargivers and if it wasn't for them I would not be where I am today.
Thank you, Health South...Kudos to you!!
I didn't love the atmosphere at CrossFit Works. Maybe some do, but I found the owners to be stuffy and not very helpful. Perhaps I caught them on a bad day.
