Nice little place with friendly people. Hidden Gem of Tucson.

As most of you know. I left DT Tucson Vaudeville on Congress back in June. I was running that spot doing most of the bookings and also had my TGIF Friday night. The Owners and family-in worker(s) were just lazy, had no clue about anything, rude, and were not on top of their business along with not caring about the music scene as much as me. I was doing all the contact, booking, setting up work while they sit there and profited. Whats positive about this bad situation is learning the business ins and outs and what to do and what not to do. This made me a better person/DJ/Artist and outstanding business entity.- Grap
When is Shell Shock coming back? They are so much fun...great rockers...can always count on having a great time!
Its not thta Shell Shock is bad, they just have no soul. Very generic players. Good sound but you kinda get sick of them being in there every stinkin month. Bookin agent must be doing someone in the band...or all of em.
A feast for the eyes and ears. A very soulful, sensual place.
Now repurchased by Jose, the original owner of Hideout West on Mission. It is clean and bright inside and out. Worth stopping by to check it out. Back to basics neighborhood bar with good food, drinks, and 14 flat screen HD TV's.
it was Fun whenit was a BIKER BAR!!
If your looking for a place to get herpes or make friends with mice this is the place to go! The bar is filthy and so is the one girl working there. The music was about the only thing worth finishing my overpriced drink for. Not impressed!
El Camino Royales--the best! You shouldn't miss them. Good music to do Lindy Hop, East and West Coast.
Super basic menu but the food is rather good. A lot of people I know complain that Abner's is too expensive. Compared to a dive like say El Coral for example maybe it is. On the other hand the food is MUCH better here. That's my take.
always have fun there and drinks are cheap. some of the best punk & hardcore shows ive seen have been at vaudeville.
You should book Keeping The Peace. They rock!
the bar is under new management/owner - the bar has lots to offer any who stop in! its a friendly bar. i do believe that you have to go to this bar before judging it. their are a few new girls and to make my point clear this bar has changed and for the better.... i was a patron while under the past "owners" and yes i do agree the bar went down hill and FAST! however, the new owner has made the needed change to give the public another great place to kick back with good company and have a few drinks, and maybe even a lap dance in v.i.p.
Bad Religion brought the house down at the Rialto Theatre last night. Knowing very little of the music and history of the band did note dissuade me from attending what I consider the best Rialto performance in 2010. Not sure if that means I need to get out more often or just listen to punk rock on a regular basis. Regardless, the members of BR have been touring for more than 25 years. Their sound is tight, loud and direct. There were very few mishaps in the performance, although some songs off the new album created a lull in the crowd, creating a well deserved rest for those brave souls in the mosh pit. The crowd was raucous as ever and the band kept it's rhythmic, thumping, swirling grooves at a fist pumping rate. All while diving in and out of double bass drum kicking beats and looping punk rock riffs sprinkled with enough heavy chunks of loud guitar wailing to keep the entire audience awake for a good 2 - 3 hours after the show with the continual ringing in the ears of those Tucsonans that were brave enough to attend a Monday night punk rock show in the historic Rialto theater.
80's and Gentlemen are Great! I've been watching them perform for a year, now. And, I will continue being a fan and watch them perform whenever I can. Usually, every week. You guys Rock! One of your biggest fans! Brenda
Re: Race You There, What Laura Says, Haley Jane"
"I can't wait to see this show tonight, a great lineup"
We went there last month and checked out the band, Section 8 Trio. The place was sorta laid back but the band was hot. The bartender was great, the place was clean.
I reccomend you should check it out especially if those guys are playing there!!
