Delectables is anything but delectable. The food is adequate at best, extremely small portions, and way overpriced considering the quality. The atmosphere is dingy, the service stinks, and the food is nothing special. I don't know how this place keeps staying in business, let alone getting positive reviews in various magazines; they probably paid to have the publicity, because the place is horrible. Would never eat there again, and would advise anyone who reads this review to do the same and not waste their money.
Tucson doesn't have any "top" Chinese restaurants, and unfortunately, the Tucson Weekly doesn't have any reviewers that know the difference between Chun King in a can and Alpo.

Excuse me - do you, Jacqueline, have a clue what $25 per person for 4 people buys in a really great but not over-priced place - with a tip we're at say $120+
There's something missing in your value system. Graduate and get a job and get connected to reality.
We used to frequent Claire's for breakfast when we lived in NW area about 5 years ago. We had to be in Catalina early on a recent Saturday and thought we'd revisit. First clue should have been how empty the place was for a Saturday AM. Food and service sucked. Don't know what happened to this once great place.
My daughter and I ate here for lunch. The service was excellent- prompt and polite. The food left us puzzled- we appreciate Thai food for the rich medley of spicy flavors, but of the meals we were served, the only flavor that stood out was garlic. It wasn't terrible- but odd.
We've enjoyed Char's and Mina's much more.
Terrible service. Have been a few different times. Food only so-so. My husband & I ordered a hamburger to split and they tacked on a split plate charge! We don't mind paying a split plate charge when they actually bring additional sides but we're talking about a hamburger that was simply cut in half! When we complained, the waitress was rude and corrected the bill but then threw it across the table at us. Have written two letters to the owner about this incident with zero response. This place obviously does not care about custmer service or service recovery.
I had the gumbo and my friend had the etouffee. Both were tasteless. The Gumbo was thin, watery, it seemed they had forgotten the roux. Spices were absent...The etouffee was also not a winner. The hurricanes were quite weak and the overall impression was depressing. Not recommended for New Orleans food.
Great atmosphere, worst Thai food in Tucson. Everything at Bangkok cafe tastes watered down. It's almost like they do Thai food for Gringo's. Alas, for some strange reason this place is always packed while the authentic Thai restaurants namely Bai Thong and Char Thai do not seem to do as well. Perhaps people want watered down Thai food, but I know I sure don't!!
Monkey Burger - Stopped by to try their burgers and ordered a 1/2 pounder medium rare burger and 1/3 pounder for my 92 year old father. Both burgers came well done and asked one of the lady's to look at it. She said I am really sorry we will cook you aniother one. The next burger came back RAW which at this point showed them and said I go to Zen Burger and never have a problem what's up with your cooks. The next burger came back well done. The manager a young man asked how was it and said it was well done. The manager came back and said I have used three patty's to make you happy maybee I need to hire Zen Burger cooks. What a comment to make when his cooks could not cook a burger right.
Monkey Burger is a waste of time and they are rude! Save your money and go to Zen Burger or even the Wildcat House.
They stay open late, which means they keep their sushi out all night. Some of their rolls were creative, but that did not make up for the lack of quality and freshness in the fish. The decor was hip and modern, but the staff (and the late night patrons) looked more like street thugs than professionals.
Worst Service / Good food. We arrived a party of 8 on a recommendation from a neighboring restaurant. Upon entering the empty dining room I assured myself we would have good service. The menu looked great and after some time waiting for simple bus service, we ordered appetizers and drinks which came out very quickly. After that the server was non existent and I had to get up 3 times to get some one over to our table and the main course took over 45 minutes to get out, 2 plates at a time. The head chef did come out to our table and offered an excuse that the pasta we ordered took extra time to boil water for ( really ???) . I guess the guaranteed %20 tip was enough for our server to justify her totally ignoring us. An offer of free desert or the free stale cookies and brownies they gave our kids is not enough to make up for very poor service. WILL NOT RETURN
I just finished a take-out meal from Panda Village. I ordered two seafood combination dinners with side orders of pork spring rolls. The seafood was covered with a bland translucent sauce with no flavor what so ever. And funny that the previous reviewer mentioned her curry being filled up with water chestnuts, because so was mine. Aside from literally a cup of canned water chestnuts, of the essential ingredients that I would assume would be in this dish, I counted three shrimp, two slivers of imitation crab (with a fishy, uncrab-like flaver), and fleck or two of scallops. I really feel like I got ripped off big time. I won't be patronizing this place again.
It's hard to believe that this place is related to the Big Cafe Poca Cosa. It is incredibly loud, the service is perfunctory at best, and the food is pedestrian. Indeed, it is more like what you would expect at a stand, and having said that, most stands are better. Avoid.
This _was_ La Ferlita's (Feruta's?) and it's been closed for at least four years. Now Giordano's. I liked La Ferlita's pizza better.
Just don't watch the servers make the salads using their hands.
Magpies is to pizza, what Taco Bell is to Mexican.

What a dissapointment. we had been going to this restautant since it opened. Tonight, Friday before Valentine Day 2010 was such a dissapointment from any other ever enjoyed there in past. We arrived around 5:10 pm, early enough to beat the crowds! After seating a partial party, then moving them because their other diners would not be there for an hour, another party of three joined our table. Finally our cook came to the table after 6:20, the grill was over heated, he put the eggs on griddle and they promptly burnt to a discusting shade of black! He scrapped away the black egg, added the rice (to a still too hot griddle) and it became crunchy and scorched to a scary grey color. Oh did I mention the flying egg shell launched from his poor attempt of a clumsy show. My chicken was blackened to a crispy unidentifiable texture. He forgot I ordered shrimp and tried to give my order to the other party. The saddest of all was when expressing our first dissapointment in our dining experience, they did not care!!! They just said "oh" I'll tell the owner later!!! So very sad, they used to be great but are now reduced to not caring about their service and worse about their food quality!!!

Our first visit to this restaurant was a very disappointing experience. It is unforfunate that we picked this restaurant to take 8 out of town guests. Never have I had such a tasteless, unproportioned, expensive meal, out of 10 the only edible plate served to us was the personal pizza. Service was good, no waitting and comfortable seatting. As a customer you always want to have a good meal with a good drink (Beer). this was not the case. We will not Return.
After hearing people rave about this place I tried it one night during the week and was very disappointed. I wasn't there for beer I was there for Pizza. I went with a friend and the place was about 3/4 full but by no means too busy to get service. We placed our order, sat and chatted for a little over an hour! When we were about to ask our server where our two slices with topping were another server brought them to us and they were huge and tasty looking! However, they were barely warm! They appeared to have once been "hot" and "ready" to serve but we were not too thrilled. Yes, we could have had them reheat our order or remake it but instead we ate some and took the rest home, it was better then next day after being heated! I'd rather go to Brooklyn! I realize this isn't the way they intended to serve us but they did! When in doubt, throw it out and let your customers know there was s problem then comp their order! Eric has done a fine job giving Tucson really good food and service in the past this was just one of those Oops situations! Next time I'll sit up front where I can see the orders come out!
