AWESOME! ALWAYS! Casual, busy, good lookin' staff, good beer selection, good food, good central location. Been a Tucson staple for a long time.
This was some of the best live music I've heard in Tucson in a long time.
Good job Ernie -Larry- Chet!
Food is ok. Prices are not. Better value and service elsewhere.
Can't believe I spent sixty dollars on some of the worst food in my life. Does the cook not have taste buds or just not taste his food?
Someone please tell confused Indigo Star that Govinda's is not "glutton free" as she states. Gluttons are not excluded from Govindas.
Indigo Star does not know the difference between "glutton free" and "gluten free."
Terrible food that tastes like it came from a fast food dollar menu. Worse service.
I've been working as a busser here for the last few months, and all I can say is... DAMN THIS FOOD IS AWESOME!!! I get a free meal twice a day and can't get sick of it! We have so many regulars it's hard for anyone else to get a seat. I have never worked in a restaurant that get's half this busy. Have you ever seen a waiting list on a tuesday at 10-30 in the morning? You will here. The omelettes are made with 4 eggs, and that's only one fifth of the whole thing. God I love it here, and I know you will too!!!
Only someone who owns the place would say their pizza is great. I found it quite ordinary and not nearly as good as Brooklyn or Mario's at the corner of Ft Lowell and Stone. BRooklyn is too small and noisy for my tastes.
I just do not get this places' popularity. THe owner has an attitude having taken over from his parents, the service is only fair and the portions very small. Its only because of the fact that there are so few restaurants on this end of town that this place stays busy.
While disappointed with Tucson restaurants overall, I do like to go to Luke's on Ft Lowell. The place is a dive and the people rough around the edges but the sandwiches are good and the fries the best I have ever tasted. Be forewarned, the new Speedway location is under different ownership and the food is not as good especially the fries they are using.
We loved the Speedway location; however, the same food we normally order- sesami chicken and Sushi was not even edible and portions small.
David, did you loose your cooks or what, we will never return. After 8 years of twice a week patronage we are deeply disappointed

Agree that it is a great addition to the Oro Valley restaurant scene. My son-in-law visited from Cambridge MA over the holidays and felt it was a real find. He brews beer at a place called John Harvard's ( yeah it is near the University by the same name) . Lot of great beers and an incredible variety of west-of -the-Mississippi local brews. Food is good brew pub snack food . Not sure what a gastro-pub is, but sense the taste/variety fell a bit short. But this is a place about the 100 + beers, not the food.
Like the campbell locale - Kolb is unimpressive in comparison.
Was going to try this place, but when I saw the menu and they charge $2 and $3 extra for a piece of gluten-free bread if you don't want the wheat bread, I realized the place must be run by an authenthic Paris frog.
Now you can get a frog rip-off without going to Paris.
If there were 16 slices of bread in a gluten free loaf, they are charging $48 extra for each loaf they sell at a $3 a slice.
Is this how you want to spend your money?
Highly recommend it! The lomo saltado was superb!!
This place is awesome!!! Don't know what you guys are talking about
This is a great place to hear very good jazz. The performers are students and you will be stunned to find out how young they are when you hear their music. They are very polished and really know how to swing. The performances are in the outdoor patio by the pool which contains a fire pit. It's a great way to spend an evening.
I've been eating at Mi Nidito's for 22 years, and I've never been disappointed. It is simply delicious, authentic Tucson style Mexican food. It's always been worth the wait, and I've always had great, friendly service. The owners and everyone working there always welcomed our large family, and my kids always enjoyed looking at the many colorful decorations. I love the tacos, both the ground beef patties and shredded beef. The chili in the chili relleno is always crisp and flowing with hot, white melted cheese that is to die for. The beans are always the perfect consistency. This is absolutely my favorite restaurant.
The service is always great!!!!! The owner is friendly and the food is excellent! We have been going to the Indian Oven for the last 13 years, and our boys just love this wonderful, tasty, well-prepared food. There is nothing like a whole-hearty meal with meat, rice, and vegetables! We highly recommend
it to your family.
Re: “La Fresita”
Very good food and an excellent selection! I'm glad I live close by. P.S. I spoke Spanish and was answered in English!
