Re: “Boston's The Gourmet Pizza Restaurant and Sports Bar

I've never had bad service and I have never ordered the same thing twice and I've found everything to be wonderful. The salad I had the first time was HUGE. The second time I tried the pizza and thought it was pretty good. The next time I had appetizers and drinks and I loved them so much, I took home an order of appetizers with me (with happy hour prices, why not?). I'm going to eat there tonight and I'm looking forward to it!

Re: “Grimaldi's

Best pizza in Tucson, hands down. Some people may prefer Brooklyn's but understand that these two places do pizza totally differently. Grimaldi's uses a real coal-fired oven, whereas Brooklyn's uses a standard pizza over. Both places are very good but we like Grimaldi's the best. One thing I gotta ask though. Who on earth orders a big hunk of cheese cake after stuffing their face with pizza?

Re: “Empire Pizza and Pub

I'm not a big fan of the NY style pizza, but I've got to say that these guys have a great pie. The bar in the back is a nice little hangout joint and the pizza slices come out hot and fast. Well done. Also nice to see a long line at 2:15 after the bars close.

Re: “Magpies Gourmet Pizza

Magpies is hands down the best pizza in tucson and it shows because im pretty sure they've won tucson weekly's best pizza award something ridiculous like 15 times in a row. this place is definitely the place to go when your craving a good pizza

Re: “Rocco's Little Chicago

The wings are unbeatable here. Tried many others in Tucson and they cannot compete with Rocco's! The Great Chicago Fire pizza is hot, spicy and very delicious. We always order a large so we have leftovers for that hangover the next day!!! Another favorite is the Caprese Salad, first of all, it's huge enough to share and they do not skimp with the mozzarella at all, the basil is fragrant and flavorful, but the star of this salad is definitely the balsamic, we are sure it is homemade and it is appreciated! And do not, I repeat, do not leave without trying one of Lisa's cookies! They are usually out of them, so if you notice there are some when you get there, grab 'em and save them for later, you'll be glad you did. The servers are quick, friendly and attentive. And they have a nice selection of brews.

Yep, there's a reason for the packed parking lot and the wait!

Re: “Bianchi's

Excellent pizza but still occasionally travel across town to get their lasagna special on Thursdays (for over 20 years!). Yes, it's that good.

Re: “Vero Amore Pizza

Probably the best pizza/Italian bistro style restaurant in the Tucson area. Attentive, happy, well-trained wait staff (they actually know how to present a bottle of wine at the table) who treat you like a customer should be treated. Greeting at the door (it sometimes gets busy but it's worth the wait). Water and table settings are delivered upon seating and your server is there shortly thereafter with menus, wine list and recommendations of specials. The cioppetta and mussels marinara are outstanding but we've been going since opening and never had a bad meal. Pizza is as it should be- fresh, light and with real fresh mozzerella. A bistro-style ambience can get a bit noisy when busy but it's a happy atmosphere. There is outdoor seating with heat or misters depending on the season.
Don't confuse this location with the Swan Rd store. My friends take the drive out of Tucson every week because it's worth the time. It's hard to believe the two locations have the same name as the quality is on the opposite ends of the scale

Re: “1702

In an age of instant gratification, often with sub-par quality, it's refreshing to know a place like 1702 is around. Feeling a monster appetite coming on? Leisurely enjoy any of the 50 rotating beers on tap while awaiting your freshly made custom slice of pizza. Yes, it will take more than 5 minutes, but quality takes time. Best pizza in town and a beer for every pallet.

Re: “Tino's Pizza

Killer pies, a bit pricy but you are getting the best in town, maybe the whole state.
Delicious crust, great sauce.

Re: “Prince Pizza and Family Restaurant

We have been there multiple times - awesome night out each time! Great food in a wonderful friendly atmosphere with fantastic live music! Tucson has needed such an all ages friendly quality venue. You can make it what you want - romantic night out or a time to actually have fun out with the whole family. Highly recommend it - money well spent!

Re: “Vero Amore

One of the best pizza places I've eaten. Thin crispy crust baked in a wood fired oven topped with homemade mozzarella cheese. Calzones were also an excellent choice. Will eat here again.

Re: “Vero Amore

Classic Neopolitan Pizza Pie, they make their own fresh mozzarella, use quality ingredients and the wood oven delivers a unique rich taste. Tucson is very lucky to have such a pizza parlor, today everywhere you look its thin crust and wood fire oven but this place actually gets it right. Plus great salads!

Re: “Brooklyn Pizza Company

The ONLY real Pizza in Tucson! Just like the east coast. Love it!!!

Re: “Sauce

Casual place with superior salads and thin crust pizzas. Offers one of best chicken caesar salads in Tucson. We love the sausage and caramelized onion pizza and the chicken caesar and parmesan pizza is a real winner.

The shells and meatballs were excellent (and I'm Italian), and the service outstanding - friendly and service oriented. I'm here on business and highly recommend!

Re: “Sauce

As one of the Fox Concepts restaurants (e.g. Wildflower, Zinburger), Sauce has been wonderfully executed.

You order at the counter, find your seat, and they bring the food to your table. Nothing novel there, however all Sauce restaurants have a comfortable, clean, spacious, modern setup; this quality is also reflected in the service and food.

Sauce's menu is simple and consists of thin crust pizzas, a variety of salads, paninis, pastas, and sides. There is a delectable daily soup that changes every three days; the star being their Tuscan tomato.

Everything here is good quality, but the pizzas reign, as do the salads.

Prices at Sauce are very reasonable, which is one reason I really recommend them. They have the perfect balance of price and quality.
