Re: “Little Café Poca Cosa

We have been eating at Little Poca Cosa now The Little One for 13 years. We ate there yesterday. When I saw the name change I was concerned that the ownership changed. What a relief to see Sandra! When you decide on The Little One for lunch you get the loud music and a joyous owner. It rocks. Our group ordered 3 Chicken Moles and 1 Tamale, Ginger Basil Lemonade and 2, "you can get those anywhere drinks".

This is lunch and a love fest. If you don't want to pay cash, go with the flow and give hugs, there are plenty of other places in downtown that are less colorful and cost more. For those who think this freshly prepared, locally sourced, original menu items are pricey, this isn't McDonald's! It is very good value for the price.

Re: “Little Café Poca Cosa

Not sure what is up with the negative comments. . . I have never had anything but PHENOMENAL meals at The Little One; there isn't a bad choice on the menu. My personal favorites are the Cochinito en Chipotle, and the Mole; also unbelievable Chile Rellenos and Tamales, AND AMAZING limonadas and fresh fruit drinks that will KNOCK YOUR SOCKS OFF!!! (try the beet-mandarin limonada if she has it). Incredibly fresh food made with love, and, yes, hugs (and generally kisses too) are mandatory. Service is fast and friendly. SO, if you are uptight you might not like the vibe (loud music and an owner who loves her patrons), but only a fool or a philistine would not love the food!

Re: “Casa Vicente Restaurante Español

This restaurant serves world-class food and wine. The only authentic Spanish restaurant in the area, with seafood, lamb, beef, pork and vegetarian selections, as well as many smaller tapas. There is live entertainment nightly, plus the annual Flamenco Festival.

Re: “Guadalajara Grill East

Salsa is made at your table FRESH. Many tasty dishes and vege choices. Mariachi band can be a bit loud. Best Mexican restaurant on the east side, by far.

Re: “Kingfisher Bar and Grill

One of our top favorite places to go for a special night. We've been taking our kids since they were babies and the staff knows them and can always find something for them to eat (burger, fish n chips, pasta, etc.) even though there's no "kids' menu". The kind of place where the waitstaff has been there for years. Our favorite time of year is during the RoadTrip menu!

Re: “Chaco's Cafe

It's been a favorite of mine for many years. I've been going there since they took over the place from its previous owners. Great for breakfast and lunch. Get there early for lunch because the crowd from D-M fills it up.

Re: “Zayna Mediterranean Cafe

I haven't been disappointed here. The lemon potatoes are amazing, the gyro is succulent and full of flavor, the falafal is one of the best in town. The service has been mostly good, The service is good and swift. This is one of my favorites.

Re: “Maico

Best burrito's in the world! I don't live in Tucson but am going to retire there just so that I can get these vegetarian burritos twice a day for the rest of my life. I've tried them all and haven't found anything bad to say about anything. The service is GREAT and the staff are some of the most beautiful young ladies I have ever met. I hope that they all stay employed there even after graduating from the University of Arizona "GO KATS"! They don't deserve a five star rating but that is the highest it goes! They deserve a twenty million star rating!

Re: “European Market and Deli

went there with my girlfriend, service was pretty good and fast, clean place, the food was actually very good, had a cold european beer with my stuffed cabbage. the owners were pretty cool down to earth ppl, gave us free samples of european candy, it actually felt good supporting a small mom n pop local buisiness. would definately return for more stuffed cabbage.

Re: “La Cocina de Gabby

I just saw the film "Spinning Plates" that features La Cocina de Gabby. I was very touched by their beautiful and sad story.

The director has created a web site for strangers to help Antonio, Gabby and Ashley, if they wish.

I truly believe that American is the land of opportunity, but also of generous hearts.
