Great margaritas, especially at happy hour. Love the fresh salsa, and the enchiladas de calabacitas are excellent!
The parking lot is overflowing every time I drive by, the secret must be out.
Standard diner fare, ate there twice. First had the chicken fried steak breakfast, very good, thin large steak cooked old fashioned style on the flat top vice deep frying, asked for scrambled eggs soft and that's how I got them. Second time, burger platter, asked for medium, done right! Fries were so hot and fresh I burnt my fingers at first. Super fast delivery, almost no waiting and they were busy. Only complaint was the waitress reeked of cheap perfume, but I guess that's a diner!
My husband I visited J Marinara's for lunch...it was so-so...definitely not worth the cost of their lunch menu. Improvement is needed or it will NOT survive...it's a tough strip center being that there is nothing to draw folks in - other than the car wash!
wow talk about BAD service, over priced... bad bad bad, I went in with my children and right away got the cold shoulder. It took the waitress well over an hour to even serve our salads and appetizer, and when I ordered shirly temples for my 3 kids (ages 2,4 and 12) she brought them all in wine glasses... for a 2 year old! they were out of some main greek dishes and after complaining about the wait the manager did not even come over to check on me. I went on 2 separate occasions because I beleive in 2nd chances and both times were very bad experiances!
This is my favorite Mexican restaurant! I have tried several meals and every one of them ~delicious! Lupita's has the best salsa; when I go to the register to pay my bill, I buy a quart! And their service is just as good as their food. I am so glad Lupita's came to Northwest Tucson!!
This is the best sushi in town in my book. The service is always great and the servers are graceful, kind, and personable. The portions are good, the sushi is divine and fresh, the tempura, best in town. The ambiance is simple and pleasant. It's can be a bit crowded but it's worth the minor discomfort. I have always felt well nourished and pleasant by the end of the meal. You can't go wrong here.
Cheesy low budget sushi. One time I got a piece of glass in my sushi rice. The owner tried to just give me a free dessert to make up for it. I should have sued.
I quit going to this place. The owner flat out refused to give us hot towels unless we sat at the sushi bar. The service got increasingly horrible. One night the waiter seemed to be on drugs and broke down crying at our table over some misperception he had over another customer. The place is run down and dirty. The sushi was big portions but I think it was mediocre at best. I strongly suggest going elsewhere like to sushi on Oracle.
I love Ikkuyu. The service is great. I haven't been disappointed yet there. The udon bowls are yummy and piled high. The teriyaki is better than I have had in a while. The prices are great and the owner is always cheerful and helpful.
Had my daughter's birthday celebration at the Cup in April and as usual, we loved it! Great food, relaxed service and that great "downtown" experience!
Past it's prime, snotty service, food VERY mediocre and VERY expensive. Great wine list but after being insulted by the maitre 'd and the captain, disgusting Cesar salad made table side and so-so entrees; no wine in the world could have made this experience worth the time or money! Skip it and save both for one of our many worthy local Tucson restaurants!
Loved the beer, I don't understand what everyone's complaining about. It was great, and the service was top notch. The food was pretty good, but I thought the IPA was one of the best I've ever tried. Each to their own, I suppose.
Went here today, May 21st, for the first time. It was pretty good. Not much more to say other than I may be back. Give em a try.
I've never had bad service and I have never ordered the same thing twice and I've found everything to be wonderful. The salad I had the first time was HUGE. The second time I tried the pizza and thought it was pretty good. The next time I had appetizers and drinks and I loved them so much, I took home an order of appetizers with me (with happy hour prices, why not?). I'm going to eat there tonight and I'm looking forward to it!
Great place to sit and have a pizza. There used to be a really bad bakery in this location. The appetizers are incredible and the pizza sublime. We had the oven-baked garlic clove and it is incredible! I live in Phoenix and can't wait to get back there again.
We met friends Saturday, 5/7 for lunch - as we purchased the groupon $10 for $20 food. Well, we think that the girl messed up our tickets so badly (must have been new) that the total for two was $26 (WTH)! On their menu you can get a sandwich, side and drink for $9.99...so how the heck did they come up with $26?? It was so awful, we just paid the extra 6 bucks and left. The meatball sandwich was cold by the time it got to me (we waited forever to get our food), the side salad was nothing special. Hubby had the roast beef sandwhich with pasta salad...again nothing special. Friends agreed, theirs was nothing special as well, certainly not to warrant $26 tab...for sandwhiches...come on! Won't be back.
I would not recommend the cazuelitas event center. I had my wedding there in April and the service was horrible. The contract we signed was not followed as promised. The wedding cake that was supposed to be included in the package was made out of frosted wood. Who in their right mind has a fake wedding cake. Tried to call and complain but the owner was not available. The staff assigned that night could not believe it either. To top it all off the owner is my new wifes family. If that's how they treat family imagine what they do to those that are not related. As of today they have not called to see how everything went. They don't deserve the one star I gave them. Maybe a quarter of a star.
Ate there on 5-3-2011 The waitress we had had an attitude, she forgot one of our coffee's and when we asked for it she wasn't very happy. She almost dumped water on us, and proceeded to tell the cook about it....then we were worried about what was going to come out of the kitchen. The tortilla that came with breakfast was as hard as a rock, and wouldn't come off the plate...it was stuck! We turned the plate upside down and it still would not come off. If this waitress were one of my employee's, I would have fired her. Not only was breakfast bad (we had a party of 5) for all of us, the wait was extremely long. I still left a tip and told her that the only reason why I did was so that she would have a better day...her response..."Whatever"
Save your money, time, and palate... eat somewhere else.
Went here yesterday and used a "get a free appetizer" coupon valued at eight bucks. I ended up getting two things from TGI. A slight attitude from the waitress, maybe because I had a coupon?, along with a few small, dried out, overdone slider burgers. The plate came nicely garnished with some brownish, wilted lettuce. Totally comical. On a positive note. I don't have anymore coupons so I won't have to go back to this crap hole.
Re: “Guadalajara Grill West”
Evidently some of you haven't tried Guadalajara on the East side on Kolb Rd going North near Speedway. They are very professional in all they do to serve you. By the way...The owners are from Washington state and Zeth is up on all counts. On Fridays they have musicians playing your requests. The service is fantastic. No soggy chips and the mole is fresh.
