Re: “Golden Corral

Excellent place to meet really obese people. But the food? Not so good.

Re: “Outback Restaurant

Not that is would necessarily affective, but I think such restaurants should be mandated to post the following: "Eating our food could be hazardous to you health." Why not? Such warnings are a requirement on alcohol containers. You might be shocked to learn how much salt, sugar, fat, and even hormones are in the meals we eat. By the way, I think a better name for Outback's Blooming Onion would be to call it a Blooming Grease Ball. Can you say heart attack at 40?

Re: “Texas Roadhouse

The early bird specials are alright, if you don't mind very average and overly salty food. As an aside, I think such restaurants should be mandated to post the following: "Eating our food could be hazardous to you health." Why not? It's a requirement on alcohol containers. If you knew how much salt, sugar, fat, hormones, etc. you were ingesting you might think twice. Can you say heart attack at 40?

Re: “Chicago Bar

I don't mean to be rude but we saw Shell Shock and found them to be rather boring. We left after the first set. It was a long drive for us to be let down. By the way, we love classic rock when it's done well. Sorry.

Re: “Guadalajara Grill West

Pros: Chips and salsa are good. Cons: The meats they serve, chicken, pork, and beef are of somewhat low quality. We went to Guadalajara Grill two times. First time I had their chicken mole dish. Not good at all. The chicken they used for this dish was obviously strips of the frozen variety. Honestly, the chicken reminded me of the same stuff that's on a fast food salad from McDonald's. The mole sauce? Terrible. The next time, and last time we went, I had carnitas. The meat just didn't have a good fresh taste. Oh well!

Re: “Zinburger

Maybe we're too old but this place gets really loud. We'd also have to say the burgers are overrated and too pricey. As for the comment on Monkey Burger. We weren't all that impressed with them either.

Re: “Little Mexico Steakhouse

Inconsistent is the word that best describes Little Mexico. Some days the food is decent. Not great, but decent. Other times when we went the food was pretty bad.

Re: “Saffron Indian Bistro

Simply put: The buffet food is way too bland tasting.

Re: “Vitello's Ristorante Italiano

I just finished reading the review here. They were most generous in their comments. We used to go there on a regular basis but unfortunately when we used a coupon for a two for one deal it fell really flat. My wife ordered the chicken marsala and I ordered the sausage and spaghetti. The chickne marsala was something of a disappointment. It appeard to be two small chicken breasts with some sort of syrupy sauce. Not a marsala sauce and the portion was VERY SMALL. We suspected that the two for one we received was not welcomed at this establishment. We have not gone back since. Too bad because we did like to take the grandkids for pizza. Just felt that we were short changed because of the two for one coupon. Shame on them for doing that.

Re: “Bison Witches Bar and Deli

huge sandwiches. with that said - quantity rather than quality seems to be the goal here. i don't go there often but would go again.

Re: “Bai Thong

Decent service but the food was not as good as we expected. We were disappointed with the rather low quality meats used in their dishes - Fatty dark chicken meat, and gristle-ladened beef. Our pre meal soups were just OK. To be honest, the curry was decent but the use of low grade meats are why we won't be back. We have been to Char and were not very impressed either.

Re: “La Placita Café

Disappointing food. I ordered the mimi chimichangas. They came out looking like little chinese egg rolls and were not so good. I forget what my wife order but she said it wasn't all that good either. There is a La Placita in Green Valley (no affiliation) that is always good whenever we go.

Re: “AliBaba Persian and Mediterranean Restaurant

Worst Middle Eastern food in Tucson.

Re: “AliBaba Persian and Mediterranean Restaurant

Oh man! Live and learn. One of the worst Middle Eastern / Greek, whatever you wanna call it restaurants this side of the Mississippi. We are sorry to sound so harsh but it was plain awful. On a positive note there are a couple of decent places for this style of cuisine in the area but we won't name names and play favorites here.

Re: “Boston's The Gourmet Pizza Restaurant and Sports Bar

No very good at all. That's what our party of five ended up saying after eating dinner here. I highly doubt any of us will come back as the food isn't happening here.

Re: “Bob Dobbs

"Proud to serve" and "RC cola" should never be used in the same sentence, unless you're into sarcasm. Overpriced, and very average.

Re: “Pinnacle Peak

Its the atmosphere which makes this place a destination. The food is average at best. The open grille area is fun to watch and be sure you are not a soft talker or your dining companions will not be able to hear you.

Re: “Mi Nidito

The best part dining here are the frozen Margaritas. The food does not merit the wait, not much different than street fare.

Re: “Mama Louisa's Italian Restaurant

Old school Italian circa 1960's. Nothing fantastic, just solid mainline Italian style cooking. Exactly what one might expect next to a military base. Joe's special is noodles and cheese with little more than a dollup of tomato sauce.

Re: “Barrio Brewing Company

Stopped by to try the beer. Was not impressed. Prefer Nimbus.
