Re: “The Skybox Restaurant and Sports Bar

Terrible service. Have been a few different times. Food only so-so. My husband & I ordered a hamburger to split and they tacked on a split plate charge! We don't mind paying a split plate charge when they actually bring additional sides but we're talking about a hamburger that was simply cut in half! When we complained, the waitress was rude and corrected the bill but then threw it across the table at us. Have written two letters to the owner about this incident with zero response. This place obviously does not care about custmer service or service recovery.

Re: “Monkey Burger

Loved it... Will be back. Fried pickles were great! Burger was among the best. Great chairs too! :-) Yep, good stuff! And right next to a cigar shop too? This works well for me!

Re: “Monkey Burger

Monkey Burger - Stopped by to try their burgers and ordered a 1/2 pounder medium rare burger and 1/3 pounder for my 92 year old father. Both burgers came well done and asked one of the lady's to look at it. She said I am really sorry we will cook you aniother one. The next burger came back RAW which at this point showed them and said I go to Zen Burger and never have a problem what's up with your cooks. The next burger came back well done. The manager a young man asked how was it and said it was well done. The manager came back and said I have used three patty's to make you happy maybee I need to hire Zen Burger cooks. What a comment to make when his cooks could not cook a burger right.
Monkey Burger is a waste of time and they are rude! Save your money and go to Zen Burger or even the Wildcat House.

Re: “Monkey Burger

My first visit was on 06-02-10, 2 of us each got a burger and both of us were left wanting. The burgers were dry with a ton of veggies on them to make them look bigger, the garlic herb mayo is discusting, the fries were soggy and the fried pickles were way too salty! The sevice wasnt very good either, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. The don't carry ranch either.

Re: “Lindy's on Fourth

Lindy's on Fourth is amazing. Simply put. From the wild menu with very unique named burgers, great service, to the increddibly delicious burgers. Lindy's is a great place to go for lunch, dinner, or on a day where nothing can satisfy your appetite! Lindys is the best place in Tucson to get a burger, hands down!

Re: “Blue Willow

Hmm? Expected much better. Rather bland tasting food. And our deserts? Again. Expected better but was disappointed when they were brought out, cake, ice cold and hard. Shouldn't like that be thawed before serving? On a positive note, I will say that a lot of people seemed to be ordering the Mexican dishes. Maybe they do that better? Our crepes and meatloaf didn't cute it though. In general, Tucson isn't the happening spot for good food.

Re: “Touchdowns

Lots of TV's but kinda bright for a sports bar. My wife and I both had a sandwich, with fries, and found the bread a little dry. The sandwich makings, themselves, were just fine and tasty.

Re: “Blue Willow

I really don't understand the draw here. I really thought it was going to be something when we got there 10 minutes before they opened and there were 20 people waiting outside. Unremarkable food, I think it's just a place for grey haird ponytail guys and their women in tiedyed skirts.

Re: “Frank's Restaurant

Wonderful breakfasts. Great hash browns. Staff friendly and attentive. Biscuits and gravy are not so good, but the chorizo and eggs or huevos rancheros make up for it.

Re: “Maynards Market and Kitchen

Maynards food was really fantastic - creative and fresh. We adored the cheese selection. The compliments stop there. Period. The waitress was a ditz. Thought princess edward island - the source of the mussels- was in the pacific. We only got attended to about once every 20 mins and only when asked. Saturday night dinner was busy but not overwhelming so we remained patient when it took 10 mins to get our first drinks. It just went downhill from there. Dinner came 1 hour and 30 mins after ordering. Out of sequence and cold. When we complained, the manager was insulting, condescending, and outright obnoxious. Proceeded to tell me 2 hours is a normal wait time for dinner. I reminded him good restaurant experiences are a combination of good food and great service. They failed miserably on the latter and the 22 year old manager proceeded to be indignant. When I commented that this actually was my 40th birthday celebration (no kidding), and the service plus his indignation sent the whole evening south, he said "we take pride in our food" .....in the end, the bill was only reduced by a fraction, furious....and we didn't even get a cappuccino we ordered at the end. These guys BLOW.. Worst dinner experience ever. NEVER GO HERE... EVER.......Till they figure out that the customers happiness pays there indignant pompous paychecks, the place needs to go under..

Re: “Ruby Tuesday

The burgers are huge. Fortunately, for those of us who like our burgers barely done, all burgers can be cooked to order and the heart hospital is just across the street! Bison burgers are available. Has a full bar with a few TV's to watch your favorite sports programs. Wines can be ordered by the glass (6 oz. and 8 oz.) or by the bottle. The salad bar has quite a variety of items and can be a meal in itself.

Re: “Arizona Family Restaurant

Living in Green Valley, there are still a limited number of good restaurants even though the town has grown a great deal. Arizona Family restaurant is a popular and very good restaurant. It has a huge menu of American favorites and most are prepared consistently and well. I love the liver and onions, The Slim Platter, chicken fried steak, baked cod and, most of all, the best French Dip I have ever had. It's because of the roll they use-nice and fresh but a firm consistency that doesn't fall apart. The restaurant is large and is very busy. Fish Fry on Friday is just okay. I believe they have a baked apple for desert. One room even has an old fashioned counter. It is beautifully decorated for whatever holiday is being celebrated. This adds to a fun, uplifting atmosphere.

Re: “Firebirds Wood Fired Grill

Although I'm generally among the younger diners (at the ripe young age of 51), a variety of folks dine on the meat here. The lunch crowd is generally composed of groups of businesswomen and older shoppers. The best filet mignon is served at lunch. For whatever reason, the steaks seem to get lower in quality as the day wears on. Dinner has a more varied clientele and the scene is more active than at lunch. The wine list is serviceable and the "Firebirds Red" is a pretty good value.

Re: “Zinburger

Darn good place for a burger and wine! A bevy of burgers with chicken and veggie options, too. During happy hour, the plain & simple burger is $2 off and beer/wine is 1/2 off. The wine can be ordered by the glass or bottle and the 1/2-off (during happy hours) applies to all wine, whether by the glass or bottle and regardless of price. The burgers are cooked to your liking and there are plenty of choice things to outfit your burger with. 5 TV's above the bar (there's also table seating and outside seating in both the front and rear) and a friendly staff make for an enjoyable experience.
