Re: “OPA!

Every time me and my husband come back to Tucson for a visit, Opa is on our list. The food is fantastic and the service is very personable. One of the best Greek restaurants I've ever been to.

Re: “Mama Louisa's Italian Restaurant

Been going there for 50 years. Joe's special and the sausage meat pizza, way over the top! Chef Alesi was the best, God rest his soul.

Re: “Vero Amore

Classic Neopolitan Pizza Pie, they make their own fresh mozzarella, use quality ingredients and the wood oven delivers a unique rich taste. Tucson is very lucky to have such a pizza parlor, today everywhere you look its thin crust and wood fire oven but this place actually gets it right. Plus great salads!

Re: “Dickey's Barbecue Pit

I love love love the ribs! So juicy and tender! The regular sauce is so succulent and drinkable! (They also have sweet and spicy sauces) I am always treated well at Dickey's and love to get some ice cream after my ribs. I'm glad they are in town!

Re: “Harvest Moon

Affordable elegance, reasonable prices, outstanding unobtrusive service, high-quality lovingly prepared food, SPOTLESS demonstration kitchen, warm hospitality. ALL of these factors add up to warrant a visit to Harvest Moon Chinese Cuisine in Oro Valley. Please put this restaurant on your "Must Visit" list. You won't be dissapointed, I assure you. Please note: Harvest Moon is moving to "The Marketplace" very near their current location. The target date is end of May, to the first week in June. This is one of those great places that, as you're getting into your car after a wonderful meal you'll already be thinking about "Next time, I'd like to try the...."

Re: “Lovin' Spoonfuls Vegetarian Restaurant

Lovin Spoonfuls is perfect for vegans and non-vegans alike. Vegans can eat comfortably knowing everything on the menu does not contain animal products. Non-Vegans can learn the huge amount of delicious options for dinner other than meat. The atmosphere is very warm and inviting. Peggy, the owner, is almost always there and is very nice. She has always asked how was my dinner.

I normally start out with the Tempura Shrimp, which with one bite makes you forget you are eating fake shrimp. Next they bring my dinner salad, with one of the wonderful homemade Italian, Ranch, Thousand Island, Sesame Dijon or Balsamic Vinaigrette dressings.

It is hard to pick an entrée to describe since I have ate most dishes on the menu. Luckily, you can never go wrong with the special of the day. I have had everything from Beef Burgundy to Fettuccine Alfredo. Most dishes have good portions. However, I always leave room for desert. They make the best Banana Nut Muffins. The only negative review I have for this restaurant is they do not have all their bakery options on a daily basis.

I am guessing the previous comment was making a comment about the different style of restaurant when it comes to ordering your food. You order at the counter and the servers bring you out food to your table. You also have to get your drink refills yourself. I really did not mind this part of the restaurant. They promptly brought the food to your table.

When I came back from my deployments from overseas this restaurant was the first place I ate dinner. This restaurant is one of the places I take visitors to Tucson.

Re: “Hifalutin Rapid Fire Western Grill

This was our first time in Hifalutin. My husband and I went on recommendations from some of our friends. We went on a Thursday night and the place was packed. There was a 20 minute wait. We were surprised that they took reservations. We will know for next time. There was some room at the bar so we decided to have a drink. We were quickly greeted by the bartender. She said that they had the best margaritas. So we gave them a shot. They were refreshing, delicious and packed a punch. No lemonade flavored margaritas here. We sat about 15 minutes later at a small table in the patio warmed with heaters. Glad we were sat outside because the noise level inside was a bit too loud for our likes. We started with the cheese crisp, half beef and half chicken on the servers recommendation. It was a good one. The server also dropped off some delectable little muffins. My husband ordered a filet med-rare and I opted for the tomato basil pasta. His steak was cooked to perfection and was very tender. My tomato basil pasta was flavorful and the perfect size. I would highly recommend this to everyone. Comfortable atmosphere, friendly and knowledgeable staff and fair prices. We can't wait to return.

Re: “Lindy's on Fourth

one of the only places in Tucson to get a "REAL" burger ! All I can say is if you can resist a two finger peak - a- boo your nuts

Re: “CataVinos Wine Shop and Tasting Room

A very well-kept secret! What a jewel. Most unique place for wine and wine tastings. Nice to know you are getting a good value (everything is under $15, but has to "pass mustard" to be in the shop) - even without the wine tastings! Highly recommend CataVinos!!

Re: “Mama Louisa's Italian Restaurant

consistently good piping hot food. Eggplant Parmesan and Joe's special spaghetti both great and the tiramatsu is the best I've had.

Re: “Café à la C'art

An excellent place. The setting may not be Arizona macho, but the food is superb, the staff is overwhelmingly pleasant, and the prices are reasonable. Lunch out doors on a pleasant day is about as good as it gets.

Re: “Joe's Cafe

Fantastic sandwiches, quiches, salads, soups, bread. Best lunch near UA.

Re: “Tanque Verde Ranch

One slice of Old Tucson that hasn't changed for the worse. The dining room is a classic and the lunch buffet is endless. I'm not saying the food is going to be in the New York Times, but it is well prepared, the selection is enormous, and its a lot of fun. When you walk to the dining room past the corral you know you are in the West. Take a out of towner, they will never forget, then give yourself a treat on go on Sunday and revile in your good judgment.

Re: “Sushi on Oracle

Probably the best Sushi place in Tucson, in my humble opinion. I've been to several places around town before, but none as tasty as this place. Looks are deceiving: When you see the place from the outside, it is a hole in the wall, BUT the decor inside isn't too bad; It's cozy more than anything. The half dozen or so times I've been there have always been at night, and this place has always been packed. The miso is the best in town, hands down as well as the iced green tea. The rolls are a good size and the fish is fresh. I've recommended this place to friends and will continue to frequent this place for a long long time.

Re: “Nimbus Bistro and Brewery

I rate it a 5 because the food, service, and atmosphere are all great. Oh, and the beer is good too 8 ). It is a beer bistro, not "fine dining"...so I don't know what the other ladies problem was. It's an awesome place to hang out with your friends and have some great food! (Just stay away from the fried balogne sandwich). I do recommend the beer and brats, strombolis (both are awesome), pizza, pretzel bites or fried jalepenos (if you can handle it).
