Golden Corral is at best hit and miss, this one in Tucson is mostly miss. Their main problem is lack of help, I've been in food service over 30 years and I can tell. GC recipes are fool proof and quite good IF FOLLOWED.
Favorite Mexican food, favorite service, and one of our top favorites in town. My four-year old, who's in love with Delia, chose this place for his b-day. They work their butts off there to provide for an excellent experience. Never had a bad experience and have probably eaten there 50 times.
There's about 3-4 places in town where you can get a real NY slice, this is one of them. Really enjoyed it. Only gave 'em 4 stars because I haven't tried anything else, but I will!
I should have turned around and walked out when I saw all the fedora hats and laptops on the tables. I ordered a GC tamal to go, passable at best, would probably beat out anything you'd get in North Dakota though. Another "cool people' joint.
Luke's Italian Beef on Alvernon was a disappointment and a waste of time and money.... the kid with the tattoos working there would rather work on his truck than wait on customers.... He acted annoyed to take our order and was rude.... The girl doing in the back doing our french fries did not even know what she was doing? I expected a lot better food and service for the price!!!!! The lobby was a mess and employees were just standing around talking..... Not going back there again! I would rather go to the one on Ft Lowell I have always had best service and hot food!!!!
went there with my girlfriend, service was pretty good and fast,clean place, the food was actually very good, had a cold european beer with my stuffed cabbage. the owners were pretty cool down to earth ppl, gave us free samples of european candy, it actually felt good supporting a small mom n pop local buisiness. would definately return for more stuffed cabbage.
I just saw the film "Spinning Plates" that features La Cocina de Gabby. I was very touched by their beautiful and sad story.

We were in for dinner tonight, which we visit about once a month. I always order the King size Prime Rib. Tonight I have to tell you, I am not sure we will be back! I made the mistake of answering yes when the waitress ask if I cared to have it seered on the grill! The cook BUTTERFLIED MY 21.00 PIECE OF PRIME AND COOKED IT LIKE A STEAK! Why would someone EVER do that WITHOUT ASKING THE GUEST IF THAT'S OKAY! seriously, it took all the juice out of the meat, the bottom piece of butterfield meat was about an 1/8 of inch thick, and if I wanted a steak I would've ordered a t-bone! they were gracious enough to take the dinner off our bill, but it kinda ruined the dinner of which I have maybe one to two nights a month that I that I am not too busy to go out to eat! We use to visit the Outback on Ina, but it has seriously went down hill also! Not sure where we will go now? The poor server was shocked when I handed her the 20.00 tip, and said she could accept it, but I quickly told her it was NOT her fault, IT WAS THE COOK!
Alas, closed, but it was a great place for good food at good prices. There's a Greek fast food restaurant in the space now.
NASTY NASTY NASTY, This is no way close to a Chicago sandwhich, Pastrami should never be warmed up on a grill, and served burnt and dry. and for $8.00 and change, I should get at least a drink and fries. but was very disappointed on taste & price. & will never ever go there again. Who ever says this taste like a Chicago style sandwich is not from Chicago and has no clue..

Woman: “Sir, I was speaking Navajo. If you want to speak English, go back to England.”
The curry chicken is the best I have had in a long time! Superfriendly service and the price is fair as well!
I saw papers taped to the doors today and the place was dark. I think they might have closed down.
I don't want to give them any star at all. Ordering from them is a nightmare. It says 50 minutes on the website but takes two hours. It just also might happen that you don't get your order at all because their online order system is having trouble. If you know that, why wouldn't you check if there are open orders online!?!?! Won't order from them again because honestly, their pizza is just not that good either.
My husband and I are fairly regular customers at Don's Bayou because we love the good food and pleasant chats with the owners, Don and Teresa. They're such nice people and make us feel welcome as soon as we come in the door. Lately we've been going in on weekend mornings before noon when they serve large mugs of rich coffee (freshly brewed by the cup) and beignets (kind of like a doughnut: a square of fried dough eaten hot and sprinkled with powdered sugar). I know they're adding freshly-cut fruit to their weekend morning menu, too. We haven't tried it yet but intend to do so. The weather has been so beautiful, so we've been enjoying this weekend treat on the patio overlooking the garden area and the Catalinas.
None of their food, much of it deep-fried, is particularly good for the waistline, to which we can personally attest because we can't resist! One of our favorite entree items is the shrimp po'boy. It's plenty spicy with either remoulade or shrimp cocktail sauce , and oh so good! We also love the really thinly sliced, vinegary cabbage coleslaw. The food tends to be expensive, but really fresh seafood IS expensive, even on the coast. The fresh crayfish boil is wonderful and wonderfully messy. It's not always available, so we "liked" Don's on Facebook so we'll be alerted when the high quality crayfish have shipped in. There's a beer on tap that we really like called Andy-Gator. It has a higher alcohol content than normal, and is what we were looking for in a good brew to go with our spicy meals.The only thing we didn't care for were the fries, but who needs them?
This place deserves to be supported by happy, well-fed customers!

The food is good but why don't they clean the place and replace the carpet?
What the hell happened tonight? I ordered for take out they told me 35 mins. I came in 35 mins and had to wait an extra 15-20 minutes. They handed me my soda first and it got warm during that time. I asked them to put it back in the fridge and when I got my pizza they handed me the same warm soda. I got home and the garlic knots were BLACK and hard and if I threw it at a window it would break it. AND we found a short black hair (possibly from facial hair or a male) on the pizza. The pizza was slapped together and the cheese didn't even stick to the crust. I can't even complain to the company because there isn't something to write on the website. I'm totally disappointed and honestly I rather pay more at a different pizzeria (and I live a block away) instead of the crap food and piss poor customer service I just experienced.
