In response to CaliMan's post that "Los Angles and Portland blow Tucson out of the water food-wise," first I'd just like to say that it's called 'LA' and it's spelled out, L-O-S A-N-G-E-L-E-S. While I agree that Tucson is no Asian food mecca by any stretch of the imagination, and that it is neither as cosmopolitan or West-coast hip as Portland, I think CaliMan is missing the most important detail here: nobody in Tucson cares about LA or Portland. What we have here is ours, and ours alone. So in terms of regionalism and localism, Tucson's Sonoran-inspired cuisine kicks LA and Portland right in their huevos. And we are grateful to have at least one Asian restaurant like Bai Thong that tries hard to make their dishes traditional. Rustic, traditional, and local cuisine is what Tucson is made of, and so, CaliMan, judging by your comments, I'd say that you've missed this aspect of Tucson culture entirely. Maybe you should just move back to 'Los Angles' and tell them that your taste buds dried out in the heat.
Went here for my anniversary and the food, service, and atmosphere was charming and pleasant. It was a fantastic meal and our server was a delight.
Best we have experienced in Tucson. Fresh fish, large pieces and reasonable prices. Very good atmosphere and service.
Not a lot of people know about sushi on oracle, but once you eat there, you will never go anywhere else! Their service is outstanding and their food is very fresh. The sushi chefs are super friendly when you go and sit down at the sushi bar. It's a small restaurant, but very family oriented. Everybody helps each other out. I would recommend anybody and everybody to go here!
This is a great place! I love the fast, fresh, healthy food here. I followed Lori to this location when she left her Oracle location. Friendly family owned place, I'm always greeted by name, and the food is consistently excellent. I can't say enough about it.
A wonderful place, Tucson is lucky to have it. Before you go to a big box wine store, stop here and you'll keep coming back. The owner is very full of wine knowledge and has never let us down with a recommendation. Go there!!!!
Best pizza in Tucson, hands down. Some people may prefer Brooklyn's but understand that these two places do pizza totally differently. Grimaldi's uses a real coal-fired oven, whereas Brooklyn's uses a standard pizza over. Both places are very good but we like Grimaldi's the best. One thing I gotta ask though. Who on earth orders a big hunk of cheese cake after stuffing their face with pizza?
THE BEST green chili in town!
The patio was perfect for enjoying a bottle of wine on a lazy, sunny afternoon. The bread was fresh and delicious which went well with the mozzarella. The mac n cheese was so yummy and i cannot forget finishing off with warm chocolate chip cookies, vanilla bean ice cream and strawberry sauce!

I'm not a big fan of the NY style pizza, but I've got to say that these guys have a great pie. The bar in the back is a nice little hangout joint and the pizza slices come out hot and fast. Well done. Also nice to see a long line at 2:15 after the bars close.

A Wonderful, Unique place to unwind and have a cup (or seven) of tea! The well-informed staff will explain things about tea to you that you never would have guessed, making the enjoyment of their vast selection that much more fun.

WOW! The other reviewer must have had a bad day...I went here with my family same exact day as the other reviewer's post. We must have been in different restaurant's. Our meals were outstanding and just the right portions. Service was great too, with our waitress continually asking us if we needed anything and promptly refilling drinks. I had the chicken schwarma with salad and motabal. Schwarma's are meant to be eaten with pita...they are not just plates of meat, hence the reason why they are not big chunks of meat. The chicken had some kind of paprika onions and a sauce that tasted like tahini - really good. The motabal was a roasted eggplant dip that had a really good depth of flavor. The rice, by the way, is not intended to be a "saffron rice" as the other reviewer posted. It was a buttery rice that was probably cooked in chicken broth. It was neither tasteless or dry. If you favor gigantic portions of fat laden food you should stick to McDonald's. If you want very flavorful food with great service, go here. This was a great place and a great experience.
Magpies is hands down the best pizza in tucson and it shows because im pretty sure they've won tucson weekly's best pizza award something ridiculous like 15 times in a row. this place is definitely the place to go when your craving a good pizza
Acacia has moved to Gallery Row, at East Skyline/North Campbell Ave, upstairs, overlooking the whole city and valley below. Refurbished the former Sur Real location, they will be adding an outdoor patio, off one of the other dining rooms to accomodate more that 100.
Terrific views! Much better than the St. Phillips location.
This is my favorite food ! My husband and I have been having lunch at the buffet every weekend for 10 years. Yummy.
The chocolate babka on Fridays.....oh my god.
Only speaking of the campus location. Best gyro in town, hands down! Great fries, reasonable prices and staff have always been freindly.
