Eegees food quality has always been great! But I see the menu got a little more expensive when they changed to the newer lower case logo revamp.
Wish their sandwich of the month would be reduced at least a dollar off in price so they were a bit more competitive with that Subway $5 deal. But eegees is great!
Closest thing you'll find to a Chicago hot dog in Tucson. Fries are excellent.
Kool Tortas variety of sandwiches and home made tortas is a winning combination
I just realized it has been 40 years since the first time I had an Eegee's. It's been about two weeks since the most recent. Eegee's is one of the greatest restaurant ideas in Tucson, I always get the original grinder and a Pina Colada and I will continue to do so. Gotta love the Ranch Fries, too, but the cholesterol is too much for an old fart like myself.
I may only be 24 and from Kansas, but this place has the best Hot Wings and Sandwiches I have ever had. They know how to make good food here, and will gladly provide without raiding your wallet. I haven't met a sandwich here that wasn't toothsome, certainly don't hesitate to venture away from the top ten. The Chicken Caccitore, Eggplant Parm, and Philly Phanatic are all worthy of your attention, if you order the Italian make it a grinder.
Be prepared to be nice to the servers, generally there's only one on staff (in addition to one of the owners), so they can get overworked if there's a sudden rush.
East Coast Super Subs (ECSS) produces excellent subs; there's no two ways about it.
This is where I go in Tucson for the best hot sandwiches. You'll see a ton of reviews on other aggregates like Yelp! -- but the hype really is warranted. Go here; you won't be disappointed.
The menu details a variety of subs, but highlights the top ten. The *Broadstreet Bully* and the *Jimmy McKenna* are exceptional and worthy of their #1 and #2 rankings.
However, even the sandwiches excluded from their most popular rankings are still righteous (i.e. The Philly Fanatic). The bread rolls ECSS uses on their subs really makes them special.
Jason's Deli has closed in Tucson. The franchisees have gone out of business as of May 30 2010 at both locations.
Huge portions, good service, joint could use a little deep cleaning.
I don't know which is better for a hangover, lemon eegee or menudo?
This _was_ La Ferlita's (Feruta's?) and it's been closed for at least four years. Now Giordano's. I liked La Ferlita's pizza better.
Good prime rib sandwiches, make sure you share because they are huge!
Always a treat to eat there when in town. Great sandwiches and soups, and the staff are very pleasant.
Absolutely the best Philly cheesesteak in the area. Try one with the cheese-whiz on it. Frankie himself recommended it (along with the garlic option) ... and it was FABULOUS! We stop there now on the way to the Univ of Arizona football games to pick up a couple of cheesesteaks to take along. Frankie's is well worth the experience!
Delicious, fresh-tasting sandwiches. Great variety of choices. Best bread.
