After hearing people rave about this place I tried it one night during the week and was very disappointed. I wasn't there for beer I was there for Pizza. I went with a friend and the place was about 3/4 full but by no means too busy to get service. We placed our order, sat and chatted for a little over an hour! When we were about to ask our server where our two slices with topping were another server brought them to us and they were huge and tasty looking! However, they were barely warm! They appeared to have once been "hot" and "ready" to serve but we were not too thrilled. Yes, we could have had them reheat our order or remake it but instead we ate some and took the rest home, it was better then next day after being heated! I'd rather go to Brooklyn! I realize this isn't the way they intended to serve us but they did! When in doubt, throw it out and let your customers know there was s problem then comp their order! Eric has done a fine job giving Tucson really good food and service in the past this was just one of those Oops situations! Next time I'll sit up front where I can see the orders come out!
Amazing bad food. If you can seriously look me in the eye and tell me you enjoy the food here I'll give you five dollars. How does this place stay in business? And no! I don't think we came on a bad day. Some chains are good. This is not!
The ONLY real Pizza in Tucson! Just like the east coast. Love it!!!
Awful folks! Honestly, this place is a total letdown food wise. I'd like to know who tasted and approved the food items before putting this stuff on the menu for public consumption? I gave this place two chances and both times it failed to satisfy. Let's just say it's a cut below mall food court crap. Boston's makes Olive Garden look like 5 star restaurant. Two strikes you're out Boston's!
Grimaldi's pizzas are killer stuff. Super tasty topping too. Even if you normally like thick crust pizza you'll love their coal fired thin crusted pizzas. The only style they make. By no means are the pizzas cheap, but they are very good. Easily the best in Tucson. You'll pay close to $20 for large 2-3 item pizza. Pricey but not too overboard. Oh, and one large salad is easily enough for two people. So only order one for two or maybe even three people. FYI though. The house dressing isn't all that great. They should have more choices for dressings. And service? Depends on who you get. We've had very good and not so good servers. Did I mention how good the pizzas are? Try it and you'll, you'll like it.
Small bar with a tiny stage for bands. Owner books the same two bands over and over. Not enough good new talent. Same old same old. Not real bad or anything, however, a lot of burnt out smoker frequent this dive.
Casual place with superior salads and thin crust pizzas. Offers one of best chicken caesar salads in Tucson. We love the sausage and caramelized onion pizza and the chicken caesar and parmesan pizza is a real winner.
The pizzas here are absolutely delightful and satisfying. I'd say that this is the only pizza place in Tucson that rivals 1702.
Great pizza and great beer, however, the service is sometimes scant, understaffed, and takes a long time to get food and refills.
The shells and meatballs were excellent (and I'm Italian), and the service outstanding - friendly and service oriented. I'm here on business and highly recommend!
Best place in town for beer lovers. So much beer on tap you'll always find something new to try. I love this place.
Great atmosphere and very clean. The staff really seems to care! Great food and the best wings in town.
As one of the Fox Concepts restaurants (e.g. Wildflower, Zinburger), Sauce has been wonderfully executed.
You order at the counter, find your seat, and they bring the food to your table. Nothing novel there, however all Sauce restaurants have a comfortable, clean, spacious, modern setup; this quality is also reflected in the service and food.
Sauce's menu is simple and consists of thin crust pizzas, a variety of salads, paninis, pastas, and sides. There is a delectable daily soup that changes every three days; the star being their Tuscan tomato.
Everything here is good quality, but the pizzas reign, as do the salads.
Prices at Sauce are very reasonable, which is one reason I really recommend them. They have the perfect balance of price and quality.
Re: “Boston's The Gourmet Pizza Restaurant and Sports Bar”
I don't know what the previous two commenters ate, but this place is actually pretty good. The pizza is flavorful, kind of a wheaty/honey crust that I enjoy. We've taken friends here also and they've always liked it. Service is fast and friendly, too. I guess the commenter above owes me $5, because I can honestly look him in the eye and tell him I enjoy Boston's!
