Only speaking of the campus location. Best gyro in town, hands down! Great fries, reasonable prices and staff have always been freindly.
I lived in Tucson for 38 years, I ate at Michas at least once a week for many of those years. The best breakfasts, best Chimichangas, best machaca in town. I left Tucson five years ago and one for the things I miss most is Machaca and Eggs at Michas.
About a year ago I made a brief visit to the Old Pueblo, Michas was still there, the food still good and now I miss it even more.
Absolutely delicious and authentic! I've been to Peru a couple times and Inca's brings Peru to Tucson. Tried the ceviche mixto, anticuchos, conchitos a la chalaca and papa rellena. All very good (ceviche was a little spicy for my liking, but still good!) and where else are you gonna find pisco sours? I was completely transported back to Peru, and will be going back to Inca's again and again!
I love this place! Great food (had the fajitas, burros, seafood). Servings are large - I am able to take 1/2 home for lunch next day. Great beans. Good Margaritas. (Happy hour they are only $3!) Women will make salsa at your table - free, but they have a basket for donations.
It is one of the few restaurants in Tucson I will wait for a seat to open up. (FYI...not many around. Since Tucson is so blessed with so many great restaurants we can usually find one with no wait, even on weekends.)
The wings are unbeatable here. Tried many others in Tucson and they cannot compete with Rocco's! The Great Chicago Fire pizza is hot, spicy and very delicious. We always order a large so we have leftovers for that hangover the next day!!! Another favorite is the Caprese Salad, first of all, it's huge enough to share and they do not skimp with the mozzarella at all, the basil is fragrant and flavorful, but the star of this salad is definitely the balsamic, we are sure it is homemade and it is appreciated! And do not, I repeat, do not leave without trying one of Lisa's cookies! They are usually out of them, so if you notice there are some when you get there, grab 'em and save them for later, you'll be glad you did. The servers are quick, friendly and attentive. And they have a nice selection of brews.
Yep, there's a reason for the packed parking lot and the wait!
Quiet, cozy, comfortable, a "gem". Excellent food and great service. I've had the cheese by the ounce and have been able to try many different varieties, it is served with fresh pears and a raspberry jam that complements the cheeses perfectly! The Wild Mushroom Salad is to die for, every bite of the delicious meatiness of the mushrooms, spicy crunchiness of the pecans and sweet tangy bacon vinaigrette satisfied me beyond my expectations, I've ordered this salad on three different visits, it's just that good! The grilled pineapple pound cake is light but indulgent and a perfect end to a perfect meal!
I own a little breakfast place myself but love to go here. This is one of those old americana style diners that unfortunately is a dying breed. If you go - come with the expectations of having a great old "diner experience" order the bacon, scrambled eggs, toast and hash browns while browsing the old vinyl record sleeves posted on the wall above the cooking area.
Service was great, the server was a delightful and conversational woman. The buffet lunch was fantastic. I am a vegetarian so I stuck with the vegetarian items. Samosas were great, fluffy, and flavorful. The curries had a wonderful taste. I have never been to India Oven for dinner, but hope to in the future. I would recommend this place to anyone.
I found Saffron's food excellent. Value for money as well as quality on par w/ my experiences back home in the UK and Mother India herself. My only suggestion is to skip the buffett and order from the menu.
The chocolate cake and the views is enough to keep you going back... and the food is good too!
This was a great place for my 11 year old's birthday party. Parents got to sit in a private area and enjoy the game while the kids play video games. Pizza, beverages, game cards was a great deal! Would do it again in a heart beat.
CaliMan is insane, he's just pissed because he works for another store down the street (yes, we know who you are). Sir Veza's is a great place to eat for everyone! High quality, low prices, clean and family friendly.
Excellent pizza but still occasionally travel across town to get their lasagna special on Thursdays (for over 20 years!). Yes, it's that good.
great summer special
pizza, salad and 2 wines/drinks for $20.00
great place for quick reasonable priced asian / thai.
i visit at least twice a month. forget pf changs, this is the place
try the chicken wrap for sure. you'll love it
This place is awesome! Truly a must see place if you visit Tucson or are from here but have never stopped in.
The food is top of the line, mostly organic including their outstanding coffees!
Staff is friendly and really makes you feel welcome as does the owner/creator of the Glass Onion, Jen has out done herself with this charming Bealtes themed cafe.
Appropriate for all ages as they do not sell alcohol. The live musical performances really add to the flavor of this rare find (LOCALLY OWNED AND OPERATED)
There they go again;being the best of the best in Tucson. After another 5 or so months of searching & still have not found another restaurant that can compare. Ate there 3 days in a row this week. Different waiters, different times, with different people & they still hit a home run each & every time. No, a Grand Slam! Why, because my dining companies also agree. Simonetti , Anne & Don
Love this place! Tucson needed a little more soul! Great Food, Great Look, Great Concept. I would recommend it to everyone!
Re: “Beyond Bread”
The chocolate babka on Fridays.....oh my god.
