Call me crazy, but none of these reviews accuratley deplict my numerous, positivley wonderful dining experiences at Delectables...My husband and I cherish the soft and sensual lighting, music that dosen't overpower our conversation, the wait staff that know when to approach and how to service our table without interupting our mood enhanced by a wonderful selection of wines and accompanied by flavorful, fresh and savory salads and entrees. The owner is hands on, has been in business for over 20 years and would certainly welcome any opporutnity to satisfy her guests. My favorites are the more classic, original Delectables menu items; Greek salad, Tabbouleh, Chef Salad with feta and house dressing, Exotic Turkey salad with pineapple and celery all accompanied by fresh, french bread. The evening entrees such as the Crepes are flavorful, moist and portions are sufficient especially with the desert heat.
I encourage folks to speak up and talk with the Owner, or Manager if their expereince falls short.
ate there several times, service was slow and once my chicken was undercooked. Never go there again.
great food, excellent breakfast, and the baked goods are amazing; i eat here every week and have never had a bad experience, a must try
Eaten here twice. Rundown:
*Nicely rounded beer selection
*Relaxed yet refined atmosphere
*Med-Lg sized portions
*Balanced flavors in all dishes had (fish burrito, salmon salad w/pasta)
*Need to stay open later (suggestion: hire a manager to keep it open later during school to bring in some financial aid :) )
*Deserts, though visually appealing were ho-hum
Ate here once; I got the hummus plate and my friend got the hummus sandwich. Rundown:
*Bruised/not fresh veggies cut up and served
Food here is high quality with great presentation. I have to say that I feel the B Line is a little overpriced for what it is, however. Just bear that in mind if you choose to go here: it is good, but spendy.
The B Line serves a variety of standard cafe fare, sandwiches, soups, and salads, as well as a heartier assortment of entrees, such as Penne alla Vodka and Salmon Salad.
I had the Salmon Salad; the salmon was deliciously marinated and grilled, then laid on a generous bed of mixed greens with various garden salad fixings on the side. You get a choice of dressing, and I chose Soy Ginger. I do wish the greens had been chopped before serving, as there were huge pieces that were awkward. That's my only complaint about the otherwise fine meal.
Someone in our party had a quesedilla, which he claimed was the best he'd ever had.
Everyone in our party was satisfied with the food.
The B Line is housed in a restored building on 4th avenue, which has a rustic kind of ambiance. It's very visually appealing.
The B Line is also usually very populated; would be nice if it stayed opened later. The owner also maintains Time Market at University and 4th ave, which is another Tucson favorite of mine.
Great atmosphere, always fun to sit at the big communal table by the register. Small but always good beer and wine selection. Favorite tonight was the vanilla porter.
The food has always been competently prepared and worth the price; has never really wowed me until tonight's salmon salad. Try the avocado dressing.
Rotating dessert display is the best in town I can say tonight, but I'll give the Cup another chance next week.
Dine in, take out, cater, it is all first class at Feast. The talented, friendly chef aims to please and he doesn't miss. Feast is an adventure if you are only popping in to pick up a picnic carry out, have lunch from the inventive menu, or order a catered party.
I personally didn't care for it, but I admit I have bland tastes compared to most people. My African tuna sandwich (only thing which seemed to allow me to avoid peppers, onions, etc.) had diced crunchy green things in it, possibly bell pepper.
So much for the food, that's subjective. The waiter was irritating. His stock response to everything from taking an order to being asked for the check was "You got it."
