I thought it was a fun place. Nice TVs to watch sports and fun bands - especially on Fridays. My dinner was excellent too.
I was excited to try The Loop Taste of Chicago when I discovered it. Wow! It met every expectation. The atmosphere is fun with lots of Chicago sports memorabilia, the menu is surprisingly versatile with something for any palate. And the food... let's start by saying this was the best pizza I have had west of Chicagoland!! Not only the pizza, but I have enjoyed everything I have tried. Whether I want to watch a game in the bar with friends, or have dinner with family, this is my favorite local spot. It is easy to find - just north on Oracle as you come into Oro Valley sharing the parking lot with the Holiday Inn Express. I highly recommend this place for everybody and every occasion!!!
This is a great place to have a paradise experience. They service unique drinks and Polynesian food. This is the famous place that has the Scorpion drink servered in a fish bowl. You have to go on your 21st birthday don't miss out on your experience of the Scorpion.
We have lived in the Vail area for over 2 years and have found this to be one of the best places to eat in the area. They have nightly specials and the regular menu has a lot of variety. They do close a bit early in the summer and sometimes the service is a little slow. They have had some changes over the last year or so but they have weathered this surprisingly well. They are very competitive price wise and have reduced prices to keep everyone coming back during the economic downturn. Try the Thursday night special for 2 with wine included it is great.
My absolute favorite breakfast spot! Blueberry french toast, or swiss mushroom omelettes, iced mocha, friendly service in total small diner/greasy spoon atmosphere ... the perfect balance of energy and satisfaction. A gem.
I'm surprised to hear these comments as we find the place much more inviting. That original Chef was out there, and Fido the manager treated us like we were a burden for coming in for dinner. The food is great and friendly service. I don't know who eats dinner between 7 and 9, but you must not have kids.
We love the place! One might think it is high end, but it is very family friendly. $3.00 kids meals with ice cream? This place is a must if your in the Vail area. And go during happy hour, great drink prices.
Never had a bad meal there. We go quite often. They're portions are generous and I usually take some home. Some of the food can be rather spicy but boy is it good!! Right now they have a coupon displayed on the KHIT 107.5 website under the calender, for free apple pies with purchase of two entrees. Take a friend and go.
Great atmosphere to go with the great menu selections. There are dishes from just about every culture on this menu. The meals tend to be on the expensive side, but the service was great as well.
A complete hole-in-the-wall place with awesome burgers! Cody's has a simple menu but great food. The perfect place to hide out especially when suffering a hangover. It's quiet and dark and the servers are very nice and attentive.
The BEST bisquits and sausage gravy anywhere in town!!! The service is 'muy rapido' as well... I usually use the two meals for the price of one coupon that is printed weekly in the Arizona Star...and my husband and I can eat a generous breakfast for under $10.00.... Mmmmmm... going there for breakfast tomorrow!!
This café is really a treat! I know it’s not located right in the midst of things, but trust me – it’s worth the drive. Combine it with a trip to the Desert Museum or take visitors there for a great meal in a beautiful setting. After The Weekly gave it such a good review we decided to check it out and now we are regulars.
The café is open from 7AM to 2PM Tuesday through Sunday and they accept MC and Visa. Nothing on the menu is over $8.00 and the food is delicious and innovative. Breakfast offers the usual breakfast egg dishes, and also egg wraps and Huevous Rancheros and an especially inviting frittata. The coffee is always fresh, hot, and excellent. For lunch (and you can get breakfast and lunch both at any time) I recommend you try the sweet potato fries to go with anything else you order. The beer-battered are great, too. The sandwiches are all good, but my favorite is the Desert Delight: roasted turkey breast, roasted red peppers, monterrey jack cheese, and the most delicious black olive tappenade all served on a crisp and non-greasy foccacia. They’re serving Nimbus beer nowadays, and a nice wine as well.
But be sure to leave room for dessert! I understand that all of the pastries and desserts are baked on the premises, and they are excellent. Just choose what looks good to you – they are all good and I have never had one that failed to please in a big way. Another tip: try the cranberry-nut muffins….they are to die for, especially when they are hot out of the oven in the morning.
The staff is unfailingly friendly, accommodating, and efficient. They greet regulars by name and remember how you like your coffee.
Coyote Pause is located in a charming little center called Cat Mountain Station, which has several unusual shops and art galleries. When you’ve had your meal, be sure to browse through the complex; it is highly entertaining!
