Re: “Vail Steak House Cafe and Diner

Great Americana food. Awesome breakfasts, burgers and dinners. Dont let the stakehouse name fool you, this is more of a diner. Great food at a reasonable price. No frills, good service. Owners George and Dina always greet you with a smile.

Re: “Silver Saddle Steak House

We were in for dinner tonight, which we visit about once a month. I always order the King size Prime Rib. Tonight I have to tell you, I am not sure we will be back! I made the mistake of answering yes when the waitress ask if I cared to have it seered on the grill! The cook BUTTERFLIED MY 21.00 PIECE OF PRIME AND COOKED IT LIKE A STEAK! Why would someone EVER do that WITHOUT ASKING THE GUEST IF THAT'S OKAY! seriously, it took all the juice out of the meat, the bottom piece of butterfield meat was about an 1/8 of inch thick, and if I wanted a steak I would've ordered a t-bone! they were gracious enough to take the dinner off our bill, but it kinda ruined the dinner of which I have maybe one to two nights a month that I that I am not too busy to go out to eat! We use to visit the Outback on Ina, but it has seriously went down hill also! Not sure where we will go now? The poor server was shocked when I handed her the 20.00 tip, and said she could accept it, but I quickly told her it was NOT her fault, IT WAS THE COOK!

Re: “Daisy Mae's Steak House

Food has taken quite a decline. Very disappointing.
Food is no longer fresh and steaks are not longer premium grade.

Re: “Pinnacle Peak

Love their steak and beans, and salads...never have enough room for dessert. Servers have been friendly. We enjoy walking around the trail dust town, and shop a bit...don't visit much anymore since moving to a rural area SE of Tucson...have to drive to Sonoita for a decent steak now :D

Re: “The Steakhouse at the Desert Diamond Casino

For my money, this is THE best steakhouse in Tucson for those who want to get ALOT of great food at an extremely affordable price!

Re: “Pinnacle Peak

Love this place. I have been coming here since I was a kid ( 30 + years sgo) Always great steak and beans. Pit beef is also excellent. My kids love the wild west show, train, and general store. My first choice for a steak dinner.

Re: “Little Mexico Steakhouse

Rather crappy tasting food. Sorry but this place isn't good these days. Soggy tacos, mushy undercooked tamales, rice and beans served at room temperature, and the beef tastes like 5 day old leftovers. Maybe they used to be good? I notice more and more graffiti on this side of town to. Is everything going downhill around here?

Re: “Little Mexico Steakhouse

Inconsistent is the word that best describes Little Mexico. Some days the food is decent. Not great, but decent. Other times when we went the food was pretty bad.

Re: “Silver Saddle Steak House

Just east of South 6th Avenue on the Eastbound frontage road, this place beats all the rest for prime rib, steaks, chicken and ribs. We especially like the very reasonably priced prime rib. My sister & brother-in-law and their friends from Dallas declare that it is better than the Dallas prime rib mecca, Lawry's. For me, and about 20 of my friends, there isn't a better slab of prime rib in Tucson than the one they serve at the Silver Saddle.

Re: “Pinnacle Peak

Its the atmosphere which makes this place a destination. The food is average at best. The open grille area is fun to watch and be sure you are not a soft talker or your dining companions will not be able to hear you.

Re: “El Corral

Why anyone would come here a second time is beyond me. Among all the cities I've lived in, I have to say Tucson is at the bottom food wise. Still, there are several better steak houses than El Coral.

Re: “Little Mexico Steakhouse

Good soups and cinnamon iced tea, but their lunch and dinner platters aren't very good at all. Been there more than once. So many Mexican eateries in Tucson yet so few good one. Unfortunately this is another miss.

Re: “El Corral

Grandpa likes it. It's cheap. Safe place to take the cousins from Indiana.

Re: “El Corral

I agree- the prices aren't real high. The steaks are all right- but the sides are so basic and in desperate need of updating.
The atmosphere is good and for old movie fans, there's enough memorabilia on the walls to enjoy.

What I do like about El Corral- it's what I consider to be a Safe For Grandma restaurant. We have older out of town guests and the meat/potato/veg/roll routine reduces mealtime anxiety ("Is it SPICY? Because I forgot my Prilosec!").

Re: “El Corral

Only positive remark is that the prices aren't real high. But then again, who cares when the food is subpar? Second rate beef, side dishes that mimic something you'd eat at a T&T truck stop diner. And those sad little rolls. Come on! Don't embarrass yourself by taking a date here for a steak dinner here. There are several better places in town.

Re: “Daisy Mae's Steak House

Best steaks in Tucson, ribeye was juicy, tender, flavorful and cooked to perfection! Ribs fell off the bone with a great sauce.

Re: “Fleming's Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar

Very good food and service, but bring your wallet!! Fleming's is chain but don't let that turn you off. While their Tucson location isn't their best it's still real good! Serious food for those who don't mind spending the bucks. This place is a notch or two above both Sullivan's and Mc Mahon's. For sure, Fleming's is a snob's paradise.
