Never fails to please. Good food. Bring back the steak sandwich with balsamic carmelized onions.
Decent food and service. Osso bucco was excellent. I wish they would offer the seafood soup that Red Sky Cafe used to have.
Closest thing you'll find to a Chicago hot dog in Tucson. Fries are excellent.

Everything I've ever had here is insanely tasty. My hangover favorite is the biscuits and gravy here. Meaty, garlicky gravy makes this my favorite breakfast in Tucson. I only wish I could replicate it at home. I'm also nuts for the garlic chicken, but it's only because I love the sauce. The chicken seems to be an airline cutlet. It's usually moist enough and tasty, but it just looks so sad on the plate. Doesn't stop me from ordering it.
This is a must see for anyone who has ever daydreamed in miniature, had fantasies of what it would be like if they could fit inside a dollhouse, or marveled, "How'd they do that?" Spent a couple of hours there with a visiting friend and was absolutely fascinated by the whimsical, technical details, historical correctness, and just plain charm of the various exhibits of dolls houses, roomboxes and fantasyland miniatures. My only complaint? More seating throughout the building for my weary feet and sore joints from bending and stooping to see all there was to see! Commit yourself to multiple visits!
I've been going to Pho 88 for years. The woman who owns the place is always friendly and happy to see you.
The Pho is delicious. Very. The Vietnamese meat loaf is the best I've had in town. The broken jasmine rice plates are over the top.
My recommendation: Go more than once so you can try everything!
As of at least August '10, the restaurant has changed names from "El Saage" to "Falafel King", although the menus and restaurant reviews still have the old name everywhere. The food was good, the falafel was crisp and flavorful, and the baba ghanoush was rich and smoky: perhaps the best way I've ever eaten eggplant. The restaurant felt clean to me, but perhaps I have different standards from the previous reviewer.
I'm rarely out for night life, but if I'm shopping on 4th Ave. The Hut is the perfect place to rest my tootsies while I sip a Moose Drool, then beat my husband at pool! Just kidding, Baby...
Teresa's is the only decent restaurant in a 5-mile radius from home -- and I eat there weekly. The service is great, the food is well-prepared and the platinum margarita's are delicious. Varied specials are always good. Peak evenings in the winter months can mean a 20-30 minute wait. Fortunately, platinum margaritas are available to help you while away the time.
After moving to Tucson, one of the stranger things about the towns edible offerings was that despite being able to stumble into fantastic Vietnamese, Korean, and Japanese restaurants; several of the Chinese places I tried made me reconsider swallowing their food. Guilin is a -very- happy exception. The food was fantastic, although uninspired (at least on the non vegetarian and vegan menus), but I am happy enough to find a place with decent Kung Pao and General Tso's. The food was fresh, the meat was not rubber, and the veggies were crisp yet cooked. The only reason I don't give 5 stars here is that the staff was fairly pushy, and the restaurant wasn't exactly packed. Was asked 3 times within a minute if I was ready, and this was less than 5 minutes after I had sat down.
That said, definitely worth a trip and I will be heading back.
First, the food is fantastic, but it is a bit pricey for what you get. The atmosphere of the place seems sort of confused between Hooters and Applebees: it is family friendly, despite the attractive waitresses wearing shirts with sexual innuendo. My biggest gripe (the reason they lose a star) is that the place feels sickeningly corporate despite being a local (Arizona) chain. I wish they'd drop the short silent clip-reel of 40s/50s films and just let the customers watch real TV. However, the food is certainly good enough and interesting enough to get me to drop by every so often.
If you go expecting good pizza, you'll be disappointed. But the selection of beers on tap is unprecedented for a Tucson restaurant. When I went there were more beers on tap than I could count, each served in proper glassware. IPAs, porters, lagers, trippels, wheat beers, milk stouts, you name it. The best part: they rotate out their beers on a regular basis, so you can always order something new.
I was pleasantly surprised with the food here. I was put off by the whole drive thru thing but truth be told, a delicious mexican resturant that does authentic sea food and a six pack of negro modello though a window?!?! You can't beat that shit!! Plus sitting and eating was nice as well.
I have yet to eat dinner here but the lunches are delicious and very reasonably priced.
