Absolutely awesome food and drinks. Best place in tucson and i don't care what these other people are talking about. Maybe they went when it just opened, but now it is incredible.
this has to be the best bistro in southern Arizona. Fresh sourdough that can compete with San Francisco artisan bread is definitely a plus. I had a wonderful time eating fresh muscles sauted with onions and garlic and white wine and the best part was soaking up the juice with the fresh bread. Very well trained staff and a beautiful market right next to the restaurant. We brought home some Nuttela scones and a layer cake with red velvet and chambord cream. I cannot see a single fault with this place even the ambiance is beautiful, especially when the train goes by when you are eating amazing food and enjoying wonderful company. I love this place!
Oh, and the phone number isn't right.....
New owners as of March 2012.....maybe a new review is in order? I had a delicious sandwich there today. The place has been completely updated and is clean and appealing. The reggae music was refreshing! Boar's head meats.....what a tasty treat. Yay.
The food here is great and the bartenders are fast and friendly. Altogether a fun time with poker and karaoke Friday and Saturday nights.
I've always had fantastic food here, and find the service timely, friendly, in fact, extraordinary. And the prices are not at all expensive. The people who run this place are the best! The food is glorious. Noisy . . . ok, but not beyond a lot of restaurants. It's one of Tucson truly unique treasures. We take our local friends and our out-of-town guests here with pleasure.
Lupita's is horrible, the food came out about 25 mins after we ordered. Also the drinks, 7-up, water, and 2 mix drinks took 15 mins to come out, and they only had 4 tables of customers, They were not busy. They want to charge $1 for a little ramikin of limes. All the dishes are way over [riced. Two fish tacos: $9.95. 1 small bowl of menudo $5.95 and they charge for the limes as i said earlier. I have to say that it's been one of my worst dining experiences. want good mexican fare. try guadlajara grill, cafe poca cosa or el molinitos.
At best 2 stars. Have had their biryani, that was ok, and a chicken dish that was inedible. No thanks.
I always enjoy going to Delectables. Whether passing a rainy afternoon over good wine looking out the front windows onto 4th Avenue, or sitting with friends on the patio having iced tea and wonderful tastes from a gourmet board, or listening to live music during birthday dinners in the dining room. The food is always fresh and well prepared. The service is usually sparkling and fun. In over 30 years of serving Tucson I am sure there has been fluxuations but it is always my first choice to have a wonderful time.
Middle school teacher here on a time limit - called in an order for delivery at 10:45. It did not arrive till nearly 1pm - I had 5 minutes. I called several times, and the person answering just said 'hello!" and would hand the phone to someone who spoke English. The English speaker, instead of saying that they were sorry, corrected me - seems I ordered at 10:48... Just as well, the Tom Yum soup had NOTHING in it - just broth - I ordered veggie Tom Yum. There were a few threads of onion. I ordered for friends, and felt bad for them. Most of the dishes are a variation of: fry up some meat and dump a slightly different sauce on it. Orange chicken and Thai chicken nearly the same. Very soggy. I will never return...
You know, I really want to like this place. The new location on Broadway is nicely appointed and pretty comfortable. The food is decent for sushi in Tucson, and especially during their happy hour, the prices are reasonable.
But on both our last two visits, a few months apart, there have been significant mistakes, long delays, lost tickets, items we didn't receive but were billed for. The wait staff has always straightened it out, but it's dinner at a restaurant, you know, there shouldn't have to be a reconciliation process.
I hope Sushi Garden gets its act in gear, but that hope is fading.
Excels at late-night bar snacks--try the ranch fries! Beer selection is decent, though not anywhere near as deep as that of other local joints.
However, falls short as a sit-down dinner venue. Meats were served lukewarm over several visits, and generally seemed to have been prepared well in advance of the order. On our most recent visit, our waiter, while initially helpful and prompt, seemed distracted. He vanished shortly after taking our order, and we never saw him again.
We may be back for a drink and a snack, but probably not for dinner.
I was excited to be taken here by my Fiancee as I am from the South and recently moved here and was craving good BBQ. Sadly, I did not find it at Mr. K's. The meats were average and the sides were incredibly bland. Wasn't thrilled at the thick slice of plain white bread that accompanied the meal as well. Lots of flavors missing at Mr. K's.
M&L Airport Inn Bar and Grill come check it out! New bold and dynamic atmospere that will stimulate your mind. The new remodeled look is updated and has two new beautiful patios and a brand new kitchen opening soon!

Great Sushi for the price. Other hot Chinese dishes are very good as well. China A super Buffet on River road and Stone Road also deserves 5 stars. The new U Like Buffet on Wilmont just south of Broadway is just terrible thou.
Re: “Epic Café”
I have been patronizing Epic Cafe for nearly ten years, since first moving to Tucson. Epic Cafe is my all-time favorite cafe in this town. Why? Ah, to begin with, the food is all absolutely excellent. All in their deli case is homemade, all desserts, muffins, soups and so much more as well. I have never once experienced food poisoning or become ill after dining there.
As well as great homemade foods, the people who go to Epic range from all over the diverse spectrum of lifestyles.
Sitting outside the Epic Cafe offers people-watching on 4th Avenue, and this activity is one of my personal favorites. Every character, every person stopping by or passing by has something interesting to say...or to see, from philosophy, ranting, humor...to style of attire.
Overall, Epic Cafe is a fabulous place!
