Re: “Augustus Paris Antiques

Great shop! True antiques mixed with contemporary and vintage accessories. The shop's owner does a fantastic job of selecting and designing various items that are ready to immediately incorporate in a home. This is one store we never miss visiting when we come to Tucson.

Re: “Stadium Grill

Arrogant owner and a female bartender. If you are a disabled person expect to be harassed. Unacceptable, as well as unlawful behavior.

Re: “Mad Mario's Italian Deli

Alas, closed, but it was a great place for good food at good prices. There's a Greek fast food restaurant in the space now.

Re: “The Hut

I rather enjoy the Hut usually. They got giant jenga, corn-hole and huge connect four, make it worth going just alone. Bar service is nice, but the way they conduct themselves when a problem arises is just embarrassing. We were there for about a hour a half playing jenga (Which is awesome because of how huge it is) celebrating a friends birthday, when some little blond girl started some ish with my friend and calling her out to fight outside. The bartender kicks all of us out, just for us being yelled at by this enraged, loud, tatooed blondie. I would understand if we boosted the fight but we sat there and separated ourselves, ended up getting kicked out for no reason and now have a negative experience for the first time there. stars are for the games and that alone.

Re: “Luke's Italian Beef

NASTY NASTY NASTY, This is no way close to a Chicago sandwhich, Pastrami should never be warmed up on a grill, and served burnt and dry. and for $8.00 and change, I should get at least a drink and fries. but was very disappointed on taste & price. & will never ever go there again. Who ever says this taste like a Chicago style sandwich is not from Chicago and has no clue..

Re: “La Fresita

(I’m waiting in line behind a woman speaking on her cellphone in another language. Ahead of her is a white man. After the woman hangs up, he speaks up.)

Man: “I didn’t want to say anything while you were on the phone, but you’re in America now. You need to speak English.”

Woman: “Excuse me?”

Man: *very slow* “If you want to speak Mexican, go back to Mexico. In America, we speak English.”

Woman: “Sir, I was speaking Navajo. If you want to speak English, go back to England.”

Re: “Saing Thai Cusine

The curry chicken is the best I have had in a long time! Superfriendly service and the price is fair as well!

Re: “Famous Sam's Irvington

Music was played loudly...it interfered with conversations.

I was very surprised that they allowed people to come inside and (try to) sell candy and roses! (It reminded me of being in strip club. And so did some of the food: the chicken wings.)

Re: “Maker House

Awesome new location with great opportunities for connection and sharing of craft. Excited to see what can come from investing in the city right at its center. :)

I saw papers taped to the doors today and the place was dark. I think they might have closed down.

Re: “Basha's Coffee Shop

I give it a frank 5 Stars as deserved and I now its a bold rating but well deserved. The location is exceptionally nice both inside and out and so are the employees. Rare especially in today's super mega Supermarket atmosphere where everything is on a corporate world wide level. I still consider Basha's a mid-size community oriented market in the purest definition.
Basha's Coffee Shop earns such high marks for a number of reasons situated nicely in a very nice store is one. The freshness that exudes from the beautiful selection of fresh Vegetables to the delectable fruit all within eyesight from the coffee shop. Another nice feature is the seemingly effortless merging of both the store and the Coffee Shop to work together all for the benefit of the customer. As the store has made sufficient room for the Coffee Shop which in turn sends a clear message of Independent Social patronage without the need to affiliate with Basha's the store. I personally have held a few meetings with clients in the Coffee Shop. I have to say the Coffee Shop was very successful in maintaining a professional atmosphere.
Basha's the Supermarket does a great job of remaining detached yet 100% supportive of the Coffee House in every aspect. The amenities are sufficient with more than adequate seating, power outlets and surface space. I have used the WI-FI at the Coffee House on several occasions and I must say they do make it easy by placing the instructions clearly on the wall within the WI-Fi area. Connection is always effortless and glitch-free and only a few feet from the Starbucks counter. The speed is more than sufficient. equivalent to my own DSL based landline back at home. So if you get a chance stop by and have a cup o' joe with us over at the Basha's Coffee House N. Swan Road, Tucson.

Re: “Brooklyn Pizza Company

I don't want to give them any star at all. Ordering from them is a nightmare. It says 50 minutes on the website but takes two hours. It just also might happen that you don't get your order at all because their online order system is having trouble. If you know that, why wouldn't you check if there are open orders online!?!?! Won't order from them again because honestly, their pizza is just not that good either.

Re: “Don's Bayou Cajun Cookin'

My husband and I are fairly regular customers at Don's Bayou because we love the good food and pleasant chats with the owners, Don and Teresa. They're such nice people and make us feel welcome as soon as we come in the door. Lately we've been going in on weekend mornings before noon when they serve large mugs of rich coffee (freshly brewed by the cup) and beignets (kind of like a doughnut: a square of fried dough eaten hot and sprinkled with powdered sugar). I know they're adding freshly-cut fruit to their weekend morning menu, too. We haven't tried it yet but intend to do so. The weather has been so beautiful, so we've been enjoying this weekend treat on the patio overlooking the garden area and the Catalinas.

None of their food, much of it deep-fried, is particularly good for the waistline, to which we can personally attest because we can't resist! One of our favorite entree items is the shrimp po'boy. It's plenty spicy with either remoulade or shrimp cocktail sauce , and oh so good! We also love the really thinly sliced, vinegary cabbage coleslaw. The food tends to be expensive, but really fresh seafood IS expensive, even on the coast. The fresh crayfish boil is wonderful and wonderfully messy. It's not always available, so we "liked" Don's on Facebook so we'll be alerted when the high quality crayfish have shipped in. There's a beer on tap that we really like called Andy-Gator. It has a higher alcohol content than normal, and is what we were looking for in a good brew to go with our spicy meals. The only thing we didn't care for were the fries, but who needs them?

This place deserves to be supported by happy, well-fed customers!

Re: “CrossFit Works

I have been to BareBonesBarbell for several personal coaching sessions about weightlifting. Jen Higgins is the coach and I couldn't ask for a more motivated and sincere person for a mentor. Her candor is tempered by her motivational attitude to inspire her students. She lets me know the good, bad and middle ground about my progress such that I find myself redoubling my efforts to improve.
