Hmmm. Could have been a wonderful experience but too much crammed into too little space. A little too aggressive selling wine and the aisles are a bit narrow. Variety is okay but not everything is of the best quality, i mean c’m if you’re gonna sell truffle oil couldn’t you have chosen a good one?
Meat department shines but all their pork has been brines but if you like spending money on salt water, go for it. BUT, too much of the meat is dry packed disallowing any real butchering or options with regard to fat - the main component of flavor in meat. They try but they just don’t have the goods. Now that there is a REAL Whole Foods in town they will need to pick up their game.
There ARE independent butchers and fishmongers in town that put this place to shame.
Their produce is well waxed and geometrically piled but has very little variety. Where exactly do I find Escarole or Rapini?
Too bad one can not award half stars because it honestly only deserves two and a half from me.
It gets all five stars because I can’t think of a competitor. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly without over-reaching. Great selection of wild bird food and garden accoutrements for the feathery folk.
Hands down best wine store in Tucson. Best wine tastings, best service and best wines. A little hard to find and doesn't look like much but well worth the effort.
I can relate to the above posting! I've had issues with this woman as well and she is an owner- I dont want to say her full name, but it's very unique and begins with an A. I'd be very careful when working w her and tread lightly. I worked with her on and off w/o problem and she was quite helpful as I'd been struggle with some very serious spiritual issues. I started noticing problems during sessions when I would be sharing about my experiences and things that helped me, and she seemed more interested on touting her own abilities and her own 'huge' role in my spiritual experience. However, the last straw was when she started trying to charge me for a double session with one of her colleagues when I only had one, saying something to the effect of, 'well, your parents can afford it.' (I dont think so!) I was told my session would run b/w 1-1.5 hrs and that's what I was given. When I bucked back, insisting the extra money, I'd been guilted into paying, be refunded, and tried to straighten out the discord b/w us, she informed me that "it isnt all about you!" (um, last time I checked my paid appt session was all about me!) Then later she said her 'angels had informed her that our time working together was complete and that I should find someone closer to where I live.' This woman is the real deal and in the past did great work. However somewhere along the line her huge ego has gotten in the way, and is seriously clouding and adversely affecting the work. I also think she's way overextended working too many hours and cramming too much in which is not good for a psychic energy healer who needs to maintain healthy balance. I'm an energy healer and channeler of divine energy too, and I mean, really? Using your angelic guides as the heavy, bc I wasnt willing to pay twice for services I had once?! Thats really unethical, unprofessional and it's not the hallmark of a high quality, high integrity lightworker, channeler and energy healer. She used to do good work, but somewhere along the line something got really askew. And she does also randomly walk up to people and start telling them stuff that they may not be wanting to hear. She should respect people's boundaries and not just bombard people with that information- it's like peeping in someone's window and private space: you just dont do that! Respect their personal boundaries and ask first. After all this happened, then one of the other owners became very gruff and almost mean with me. I dont feel comfortable or welcome going to SpiritsChild anymore. I would tread very lightly when going there: what used to be a very light place, seems to have some rather dark elements now!
I had a beautiful reading with a sweet guy there. Kind of young looking but very good. After I was done a woman, i think the owner, came out and started giving me in solicited advice and telling me that she can do energy work to clear me. I did not appreciate this bombardement and was wondering why she was doing energy work and giving unsolicited advice when I was not her client. I found her to be quite brazen and would not return . Also I have found items sold here at other places much cheaper. She has a good selection of fairies but you can buy them elsewhere much cheaper .

A truly fun experience with a very knowledgeable store keeper. Carries a variety of local and regional sauces, syrups, honeys and jellies that are not easily found elsewhere.
Only decent grocery store in Tucson. Terrific produce selection and quality, best butcher case and the ONLY place left in town to buy seafood. With the typical Tucsonan's taste for chain restaurants, it's hard to believe they stay in business.
This truly is wonderful to see Rainbow Jewelers has been voted to be the Best Jewelry in Tucson because they REALLY ARE. That have been in Tucson so long and they are so honest. I;m glad to see Tucson consumers have voted right. The jewelry they have in the store is so wonderful and unique and high quality. The service is great and you know you are getting fine jewelry, great price along with great customer service. My husband bought so many wonderful gifts from Rainbow over the years. Michael has fixed so many repairs on my jewelry too. His wife is so talented and helps you with your designs too. What a a great couple and a beautiful store. Congrats to you guys!
Great store with a variety of antique items and a huge selection of military items: medals, decorations current and from other countries. It's a must see!!

A wonderful place, Tucson is lucky to have it. Before you go to a big box wine store, stop here and you'll keep coming back. The owner is very full of wine knowledge and has never let us down with a recommendation. Go there!!!!
There's a hipster feel to all of the Buffalo Exchanges, but this is my favorite location and the staff location have always been really friendly to me. Regardless, there are amazing finds here with even more incredible prices, and everything is in good shape--this is no tatty, frumpy thrift store. It's also nice to be able to make a few bucks by selling them clothes you no longer wear, though they're pretty picky about what they'll buy (which makes sense; if they bought crap they'd sell crap). It's a great place to jazz up the wardrobe without spending much.
Have you ever wanted to learn about wine without appearing ignorant around wine snobs? Well, I found Cata Vinos was just the place. Imagine relaxing in a comfortable atmosphere, sampling a variety of tasty wines. You will find the staff knowledgable & helpful, the patrons friendly, and the well stocked shop has something for everyone.....all under $15! Wonderful fun to go with a party of friends, although I'm just as comfortable going alone. Very welcoming.
Best dealer service in town, unbelievable clean operation!
A very well-kept secret! What a jewel. Most unique place for wine and wine tastings. Nice to know you are getting a good value (everything is under $15, but has to "pass mustard" to be in the shop) - even without the wine tastings! Highly recommend CataVinos!!
This place is wonderful. The atmosphere is warm and the staff are inviting (not pretentious). And you can't beat a wine-tasting for $10.
I enjoy visiting Cata Vinos but find it too expensive. $20 a couple adds up so I don't visit as often as I would like. Beverage House has tasting for $2 and they throw in cheese and crackers, too. The selection is great and Yvonne is very welcoming, however, I wish she would drop her tasting price.
Tucson's greatest little niche for wine! Great place to find affordable wines that you like (and not just the labels) ... and meet new friends, bonding over palates! Great place to take those out-of-town guests too, always a great theme tasting each week.
Re: “Centric Photo”
BEWARE....POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS , POOR QUALITY....
Centric is NOT place to go if you are looking for quality. You would be better off going to Walgreen! No Joke. They are over priced for the quality you receive.
Their proof strip does not give an adequate representation of the final print. My photo was black and white, they couldn't even get the contrast right. When I asked them to correct it. They got very defensive and Richard said I would have to pay again to have it reprinted and would only give a small discount for a corrected print. I had already paid a pretty penny (because at the time I believed that it would be worth the extra money to support a local business and get a higher quality image printed) Boy was I wrong. I came in to pick up the corrected print and it was double the price Richard had originally quoted me for the corrections. Its sad when a local business that you want to support will not work with you when you are unsatisfied and then lie about the price to squeeze an extra buck out of you... I ended up not getting my final print due to the price increase and will not be going back again. Use Photographic Works or Jones Photo Lab.. Do not trust your work with Centric.
