What a totally crappy band! I want my money back!
If you like being insulted by a drunken lead singer/guitar player who can't even finish his sets because he's too drunk to stand up anymore (much less remember song lyrics), this is the band for you. Guy walked offstage in the middle of a song! Aren't there any better bands in town to hire?

I got 4 tickets to the Mystery Theater as a gift for my mother. This cost about $200 so I expected quite a lot. When calling into the theater the man who answered the phone was completely unprofessional and rude. He explained how the evening would go, how wonderful the food would be, how interactive and engaging the show would be etc. but was condescending and impatient with me. He made me feel as if I was wasting his time, but I assumed he was busy, so I went through with the transaction…
When my mother tried to schedule a time to go to the show she was treated very poorly. She called in and booked a Saturday night, but immediately remembered that she had a prior commitment, so called them back within MINUTES. The man almost REFUSED to let her change days! She wanted to change to the Friday and he said she could not and that it was too late to do so! She had literally just spoken to him. He finally agreed to allow her to change days but made her feel bad about it. I was in the room and immediately became really worried about how her evening would play out…
When I next saw my mother I asked how the evening went- she just groaned! Horrible food (NOT what was promised when I made the ticket purchase). NO interaction from the people on stage with the audience (I was told that the staff would drop of clues at the table while the dinner was being served and that the entire evening would be highly interactive). The show was tacky, boring and not funny. My mother said at the end they simply gave the audience a piece of paper and said, “Read this and write your answers down and don’t forget to give us a tip.” Wow! All 3 of her friends were completely appalled by the show and staff.
I am so disappointed that I wasted so much money on this gift and even more disappointed that my mother and her friends had an awful time. PLEASE DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS BUSINESS!
This place was terrible!!! Although the play itself was fun, it was a rip off! We called to get our money back before the show after we read a review and the person on the phone was so rude! He was yelling at us and saying some very shocking statements, and would not give us our money back! The tickets are $42 each! That is almost as much as a Broadway ticket! The tickets were no way worth what the price was even with a meal. Bringing up the meal, first there was a salad, which one girl at my table was given no dressing, and my husband had to ask the drink waiter multiple times to get his drink. After the salad, they gave us Mexican food?? The plate was not even full! There was one chip, with a little bit of beans, a tiny enchilada, and a little piece of corn bread. I was about ready to ask the waiters (actors) serving, if that was all we were getting! The room and table clothes were dirty, and the little favors of bubbles they gave us were empty. The humor was crude, the list goes on.
This does not appear to involve Doug Stanhope at all.
These listings BADLY need corrections links. The Weekly staff can't possibly claim to always be correct.
Nothing special. Older men tottering around getting "turned on." Wish I'd stayed home.
We went to this show and no one was there. Never say any cancelation and spent 2 hours of driving for nothing.
She touched me in ways I have never been touched before... Very unprofessional. I wouldn't wish this level of service for my worst enemy. So disappointed...
This is possibly the worst event I've ever been to. The photographer was bossy, rude, and incredibly unprofessional. Not to mention the fact that work quality was less than that of my 4 yr old. She does better with her Minnie mouse camera than this woman does her "professional equipment."
I would NEVER recommend her to anyone. My best advice to you is to stay as far away from this train wreck as possible.
Well Fox changed their schedule but didn't let you guys know apparently. That was a pointless 2 hour round trip
Worst karaoke dj ever! Me and my buddy spent an hour trying to figure out what song to sing, and then we went to smoke and came back to find the dj and what appeared to be his friends singing our song. He had like ten artists on tap and couldn't even play half of their songs. Shitty first karaoke experience.

I think this is 2 weeks in a row that RPM has had live music listed and both times - no band at all. Last night, no band (I drove cross town to see) and when you call to ask if "there is actually a band tonight" you get a recorded message telling you the person you are calling is not available. REALLY? Get it together RPM! (Love 80s and Gentlemen! - great dance band!)
Show is not good
As one parent I overhead said while walking around the crowded vendors' tables, "A bunch of people sitting behind tables!! This isn't fun!!"
I think that sums it up. Nothing fun for kids to do, no activities other than some crowded tables with paper plates and popsicle sticks, no food or drinks except for Egees. The science part of the festival amounted to dropping tennis balls into a small flour filled box. With all the talented, intelligent students in the science, arts and dance department at the U. of A., this could have been a great event for kids but maybe this is why Tucson will always be a second tier city. A parakeet could have organized a better festival!
I was trying to walk down the street after a wonderful date when I almost ran straight into asshats in makeup acting like idiots and shaking up beer and spraying people with it. The police arrived in droves, blocking off Congress and one had some kind of anti-riot gun (seriously). If the fans of this band can't act like decent human beings, please don't book them at this fabulous venue.
Thanks.
Well we were going to down to Tucson to see the parade but I guess we will have to pass if it starts at 5:30 pm, Never in my life have I ever heard of such nonsense, who has a parade in the middle of the freakin night, what were you thinking Tucson?
Its dangerous enough as it is to go to a crowded area with children during the day but at night?
I hope Tucson pulls together and boycotts the parade this year to send a message, If its funds you need then you need to find a way to make it happen during the day, what ever it takes.
disapointed in Flagstaff
No parking, to many pitbull, to much drinking, to many vendors (over 500 with the side shows), to little quality art & crafts makes the "4th avenue art fair" nothing than a high end flee market. And with charging artists $ 425.00 for the space it's a cash cow for the merchant group.
These preform all over asking for money. They actually live in Pennsylvania and here in Arizona, even though they say they live in Mexico. I've seen dancers all through out Mexico and their appearance is very high end compared to the real thing.
Re: “Billy Templeton and Freestyle”
I wasn't at this event, but I can assure you that Billy Templeton has been plagued by demon alcohol for many years. There are better bands - try Chance Romance.
