Thanks for the correction, Lisa. It's been fixed.
CORRECTION: MEDEA 3 is $7 for all seats - NOT FREE. I am not sure why anyone would post that, but the press release I sent out to the media clearly says All Seats $7 - still a supremely inexpensive night out to see live theatre.
If you have never visited the Valley of the Moon on the first Saturday of the month, or been to a play, or been IN a play at Valley of the Moon, you are missing something amazing and uniquely Tucson. It doesn't have the cachet of the Day of the Dead parade, but it should.
Give a little and support DTP they are asking and needing YOur help
The AZ Balalaika group gets 5 stars from me. they offer varied program of various combos of musical groups, dance groups and have visiting first class musicians from Russia and other eastern Europe areas. They may be Tucson's best kept musical secret.
This Arizona Balalaika Orchestra concert will be an outstanding show, featuring large colorful orchestra, exciting dances, and one of the world's foremost performers of the Russian balalaika. It will be a unique show and great fun for the whole family!

W. Coltan: We don't always run a theatre review. Sometimes we run two. Depends on the week.
Also, we discussed the Danish performance team in City Week: http://www.tucsonweekly.com/tucson/city-we…
You can email me anytime at mailbag@tucsonweekly.com.
Thanks!
Where on your web site can I submit a comment/question?
I want to know why there was no single theatre revue in last weeks' edition. And there was no section on Theatre in the Arts events listing page.
Also was disappointed that there was not a better alert about the upcoming Danish gymnastics team performances.
Time has been changed on Thursday, February 7th, to 2PM for the reading of "Imagination, Fast and Flow" and then I'll be taking down the show. www.kenboe.com
Great, thanks!
Thanks for the note. The event has been fixed.
Tara and her dance Studio will be performing.
The Confluencenter staff would like to clarify that Billy Collins's poetry will be read at the event, but Collins will not be in attendance. Please go to the Student Union BookStore (inside the Student Union Memorial Center) for this event.
Correction on the phone number. New phone number for RAC/Skrappy's is 261-3252!
i cant find the other local bands that were at that concert :/
This is wonderful I go every chance I get. !!!!
OMG!!! Thank you Gary. I now realize that I had "The Poseidon Incident" in mind. I love getting reminded how shitty my ancient memory is becoming, and obviously, this explains my inability to understand The Loft's "intentions". I hope y'all have a great New Year's Eve celebration. Stay sober or be careful! :-)
Fabulous concert on a beautiful day, a most appreciative audience and a glorious venue.
What am I missing, Peter? Cold war military chase scene? Soviet Submarine Service? What movie are YOU talking about? The Poseidon Adventure is a movie about a cruise ship that gets hit by a tidal wave and flipped upside down... and the connection here is that it happens right at midnight on New Year's Eve, just as everybody shouts "Happy New Year!"
Re: “Magical Mystery Dinner Theater”
This place was terrible!!! Although the play itself was fun, it was a rip off! We called to get our money back before the show after we read a review and the person on the phone was so rude! He was yelling at us and saying some very shocking statements, and would not give us our money back! The tickets are $42 each! That is almost as much as a Broadway ticket! The tickets were no way worth what the price was even with a meal. Bringing up the meal, first there was a salad, which one girl at my table was given no dressing, and my husband had to ask the drink waiter multiple times to get his drink. After the salad, they gave us Mexican food?? The plate was not even full! There was one chip, with a little bit of beans, a tiny enchilada, and a little piece of corn bread. I was about ready to ask the waiters (actors) serving, if that was all we were getting! The room and table clothes were dirty, and the little favors of bubbles they gave us were empty. The humor was crude, the list goes on.
