If you were going to make a movie about Tucson, the opening scene would have to be Sabino Canyon. Recreation comes in all shapes, sizes and colors across Southern Arizona, but Sabino is the place we all keep coming back to. If you're a native, you probably went there as a small child to play in the water. You likely came back as a college kid to drink beer and impress your date. Now you come to walk or run, drink in the natural beauty of a desert canyon, or maybe you even bring kids of your own. Nowhere else in Southern Arizona is there such a perfect place to recreate while being so close to a major metropolis. And for you mystery buffs, next time you're there, ask about the freshwater jellyfish.
