Best Paletas

Michoacán Taquería/Raspados

Staff Pick

Tired of the regular popsicles from the grocery store? Want to suck on something with substance? (All right, get your minds out of the gutter.) We're talking about paletas, or Mexican popsicles. The Mexican state of Michoacán is famous for paletas, so it's no wonder that the treats at this Tucson establishment with the state's name rock the house. The paletas, made on-site, come in fruity, water-based flavors like mango, watermelon, lime, cantaloupe, pineapple and strawberry, or cream-based flavors like vanilla, chocolate, coconut and pecan. These thick, served-on-a-stick treats are textural feasts, crammed with chunks of fruit, shards of coconut or bits of pecan. Come choose from a wide-variety of sabores that are out of this mundo.
