Antigone Books

Readers Pick

Walking into Antigone Books is like walking into a literary toy box. This Fourth Avenue bookshop bubbles with goodies of all types, with scented, gummy erasers as readily available as baseball caps embroidered with javelina. Local and imported tchotchkes mingle with fun and funky stickers, buttons, magnets and plaques that proclaim things such as, "Don't ask what your mother can do for you; ask instead what you can do for your mother." Oh, yeah, Antigone has books, too. Shakespeare nestles next to a book on D-Day, while the various sections beckon you to explore a variety of interests and ideas.
