Love Candye Kane here in Florida!
Chris Black is an amazing talent.( I wish I was there to witness the Chamberlab!)
Robust -and- mystical! A great artist and a fun read; thanks.
Seconded, except I saw them in Kansas City at the Midland. Heard some great songs from that first album!
I did stay tuned Julio, and the show kicked ass! I would've contacted you direct but at the time I was in an area with no cellular service. It was cool though how you went a little out of your normal show, not that your normal show doesn't have a lot of variety, but even more variety is great! I'm looking forward to next Friday morning, until then, I wish you nothing but the best.
P.S. If you're in the mood, play The Tilts "Hot For Pizza" on your next show for me; your show is the only place I've ever even heard of it. Please make sure to do it after 1:45 though, sometimes I don't have a chance to tune in until that late. Thanks, DC
Just came from the concert..so awesome to see such an iconic band in Tucson at the Rialto!!
Along with Mission of Burma and Sonic Youth. Just couldn't make it out that year, sadly.
Julio: Too bad you missed ATP 2003. You missed the reformed Stooges debut. And the Minutemen. They just left out the guitar completely. It was intense.
Sun Bones is incredible! Their live show is even more amazing then their album, and I can't stop listening to Love Letter. Amazing album from an amazing band!
I enjoy listening to "Hex Enducton Hours" but after reading this piece I would like to think that Mr. Pena might want to add a little more variety to his show, considering that he listens to all sorts of styles. I like the idea of hearing feedtime, Black Flag, and nomeansno followed up by the title track from Iron Maiden's "Powerslave" release. Please leave out anything with Justin Timberlake though. Bring it Julio!
I don't see Girl You Want, Freedom of Choice, Satisfaction, Peek-a-Boo or Turnaround mentioned. SpudBoy my ass.
A fantastic group from the 80"s Just what Tucson needs right now some fresh live talent. Please come and entertain us we need the excitment especially before these 100 degree days! So I will be at the Rialto come out and join us

...I'm not sure why Tucson native and current Devo drummer Jeff Friedl rarely if ever gets mentioned in the local music media. He moved to California years ago and eventually worked/works with A Perfect Circle, Ashes Divide, The Beta Machine, Devo, Carina Round, Filter and Puscifer.
