"How do you know they weren't hacked? You don't. You just can't resist judging others negatively even when confronted with possible mitigating evidence."
Yeah, but odds are really good that they weren't, St. Saintly, so unclutch those pearls. People might be more willing to give them the benefit of the doubt if they hadn't spent the past few years acting like anthropomorphic taints.
Uh, no I won't contribute a buck. WTF? Are you serious? Talk about a scam. Anyone who gives you money is an idiot on par with Amy and Samy.
We need a South Park episode on this storyline.......... Come on Trey and Matt do it!
There is no way they got hacked. If you look at their timeline this was posted on October 3, 2012
"We like to call them the “Camel Toe Mafia” just a bunch Pussies hiding behind a computer screen. Or working for YELP"
And yet no post after it saying they have been hacked. These posts were clearly written by them and now they are trying to do some damage control but its too late!
Seriously, you don't have any idea about domestic harmony? You live with one cat?
Yo, Everyone in a house more than one cares about domestic harmony.
anonn, quit trolling. The "hacked" explanation does not pass Occam's Razor because:
*The hateful posts very much were in-line with the comments and attitudes they displayed on television, and as documented in years worth of Yelp reviews.
*As a business owner sponsoring a page for their restaurant, I find it difficult to believe that they wouldn't discover something was amiss until over a day later, and several internet and news reports on the matter had broken.
*As mentioned elsewhere, the likelihood of multiple social media accounts being hacked simultaneously, while not impossible, is highly improbable.
*The hacking defense has been utilized by many who have done or said egregious things on Twitter, but very rarely proves to be true. And generally, when it happens, as stated above, the posts come down faster, and there is a more immediate "OMG I didn't write that" post.
*The backpedaling bears all of the telltale signs of an angry man's regret. They made some ill-advise posts, and instead of letting it end there, kept going down the rabbit hole further until there was no way out. A day later, they realize their foolish move with clearer heads, but know there's no way to undo the posts from the day before, as they've all been cataloged and widely reported. So they try the Weiner-defense, and claim "hacking".
Your 'pop culture' rant was nonsensical at best, silly at worst.
Mari, go wash your mouth out with soap !!! Every time you use profanity in public you degrade your life.
Your life must be pretty degraded by now.
Is this all a scam? ... to create clicks, views, followers, potential for future reality TV/ YouTube videos?? Are we enablers for another Kardashian-type "celebrity"?
How do we distinguish between an actually bizarre story and a setup??
Let's see, my spouse is Vietnam-era disabled veteran. Sacrificed more individually than this whole despicable crowd.
These @$$holes can go suck eggs. They have NO idea...
(Paul Marsh is still alive??)
I am not Amy or Samy. And the reason I have Martin for my facebook picture is because his message was so pure. So, crazytown, where is the love? And why don't we all get a life and let these poor people alone. There are bigger issues in the world, don't you think? Say what you want about me, I am done. But I am Kathy, not Amy.
No more hurting people, people.
@anonn There's a few reasons to think they weren't hacked. First of all, the local authorities don't care about your social media accounts. The FBI? Good grief, they'd say don't waste our time. Secondly, the KN show highlighted their sensitivity to online criticism. That's why they wanted help to begin with, to have Gordon vindicate them. They specifically noted Yelp reviews, so here's the kicker: they were 'hacked' and years worth of bitter responses by somebody posing as Samy were put in? I don't think so. And, all their social media accounts got hacked.. at the same time? (OK, maybe they used the same password?) And why did it take days for them to finally notice? No, it doesn't add up.
The steal the tips of the servers, that is against DOL rules and laws, they repackage desserts and say they are theirs, that is fraud. They lied to Chef Ramsey about the desserts, ravs and who knows what else. I believe she wanted Chef Ramsey to validate her food, so she could say look look see my food is fine to put it back in the critics face they have been battling for years. It back fired on her. Then she got rid of him before he could bring everything to light she is doing, like the desserts and what ever else she is bring in that she doesnt really cook. She treats people and employees like second class people, and who sings like that meow? The thing I find shocking is the people that are defending them, they are saying its ok she acts this way and is doing the illegal things she is doing. It is illegal to take staff tips as a owner. The long list of things she is doing as a every day practice is shameful. And people are defending her, wow its unbelievable.
This is the most ridiculous thing I've seen/heard in quite a while. This couple needs some serious help, and needs to realize they are human. And humans make mistakes, it's. to be imperfect. We are all made that way, but when you are so delusional that you truly believe you can do no wrong you're only fooling yourself. I wish nothing but the best for these people, but they are thir own worst enemies!
So does that mean it didn't help?
It's all kinds of disgusting that you made this article without first contacting Doofygirl.
,,,,,and que the crazy owner lady defending her indefensible acts on this site 2 posts up. You post exactly how you speak . Your business will fail quickly after this.
The comment above left by a so called "Kathy Parker" is no doubt Amy or Samy... Besides the ridiculous comment left, the picture is of the little boy killed in the Boston bombings. This is disgusting, disheartening, and proving what GOD-awful people they really are!
i hope they lose their gold canyon pad and move to the ghetto
Re: “The Folks at Amy's Baking Company In Scottsdale Have Gone Insane [Update: They Were 'Hacked']”
You know it's odd, I was first reading the restaurant reviews on Google and came across a positive review by a Kathy Parker, in the midst of many negative reviews (yes, most claiming they had never been to the restaurant, but had seen Nightmare Kitchens). This Kathy Parker, and it would appear the one on here as well, has a tendency to occasionally CAPITALIZE certain words for emphasis. I noticed that Amy/Samy tend to do the same thing as well. This doesn't mean that Kathy is Amy or Samy, but it does make me wonder.
