Guest scholars? what a joke
Why not CRT/Tube Tv's? Do we want cadmium and other harmful products in our landfills? Im sure these can be put to good use!
This is a great place to hear very good jazz. The performers are students and you will be stunned to find out how young they are when you hear their music. They are very polished and really know how to swing. The performances are in the outdoor patio by the pool which contains a fire pit. It's a great way to spend an evening.
Prices? really? 2 for a dollar or 3 for 99 cents?
hi everyone! unfortunately, HAIRSPRAYFIREANDGIRLS will not be performing at skybar on new year's eve. however, they are ushering in the new year at plush at 9 pm sharp. sorry for any confusion, and happy new year!
Be careful about allowing your teenage childern attend these events hosted by Gabriel of Urantia (real name Anthony Joseph Delevin). He is a notorious Cult leader that will sway your loved one's beliefs away from their real family, assign them a new name transmitted to him from beings in outer space (not kidding) take their identity and bring them into the workforce of brainwashed people living on his multi-million dollar estate at Tumacacori, AZ. Beware him and his already brainwashed cult!

Just one correction on the story above. Effie Anderson Smith was born in 1869 in Arkansas, but moved with her family to New Mexico in 1892, and then to Arizona where she married at Bisbee in 1895. She spend most of her adult life in Pearce (1896-1941), in Douglas (1941-51) and Prescott (1951-55).
If you missed opportunity to see her Impressionist paintings in Pearce over Thanksgiving, be sure to join us for the larger retrospective exhibit of her finest work during the Arizona Centennial celebrations in Douglas - when the Douglas Art Association hosts their centennial exhibit entitled "Effie Anderson Smith: Pioneer Painter", at their Gallery during the entire month of February 2012.
Re: “Global Warming: How Serious Is It?”
good presentation. however, i still don't understand how climate scientists can put so much faith in the models. How is it possible to know with a high level of certainty that a) a 2 degree rise in global temprature is a safe level and b) increasing CO2 to a certain threshold (e.g. 450 ppm) actually translates to a 2 degree global temperature rise. Scientists don't adequately explain where they get these numbers as they seem, after all, rather arbitrary.
The climate is a complicated system with lots of puzzle pieces (solar output, sunspots, greenhouse gases, direct and indirect effect of aerosols, forest fires, volcanoes etc....)and feedback loops (both positive and negative, water vapor, snow-ice etc..). Climate models cannot accurately simulate clouds and yet clouds generate a radiative forcing (both warming +30 W/m2 and cooling -50W/m2) that is an order of magnitude greater than CO2 (+2-4 W/m2). If the Younger-Dryas period is any indication (and the movie The Day After Tomorrow), any slight warming could create a catastrophic collapse of the Greenland Ice sheet which would cut off the North Atlantic thermohaline circulation and lead to an ice age.
Also, climate scientist's bare some responsibility for the public relations failures. They are not always transparent with there data and methodology, and so scandals like the climate-gate emails, and the so-called "hockey stick" controversy provides critics with much ammunition to throw accusations that the evidence is doctored.
