What was the first concert you ever saw?
Daniel: When I was 9, I saw Miami Sound Machine with my brother. He made me feel like a fool for not knowing the lyrics to "Conga."
What CDs are in your changer right now?
Nick: I don't have a CD changer, per se, but Belle and Sebastian's If You're Feeling Sinister, Wu-Tang Clan's Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) and Radiohead's The Bends are in heavy iPod rotation.
How many total albums do you own (CDs, vinyl, cassettes, 8-tracks)?
Mark: I own but one album: Golden Hits by Roger Miller on 8-track. It's broke. I could keep my iTunes rocking in a retro-alphabetical order for 17:08:51:56, but I wouldn't.
Do you download music, and if so, legally or illegally?
Mark: Yes, but only when I drink.
What was the first album you owned?
Nick: The first record I purchased with my own money was OutKast's Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik. I was the funkiest 12-year-old in Wyoming.
What song would you like to have played at your funeral?
Daniel: It's a toss-up between Mike and the Mechanics' "The Living Years" and Wilson Phillips' "Hold On." Maybe they'd let me play both.
Musically speaking, what do you love that your friends don't know about? What's your favorite guilty pleasure?
Daniel: Keep this on the DL, but I love driving around with Mr. Big's "To Be With You" cranked, singing my heart out.
What band or artist changed your life, and how?
Ryan: Ani DiFranco. She went against the grain; instead of signing with a major label that wanted to change her style, she created her own record label and sold just as many records and gave other artists a label to call home.
Figurative gun to your head, what is your favorite album of all time?
Ryan: Deee-Lite's Dewdrops in the Garden, because it has nothing to do with reality.
