Cowabunga! I have always wanted to open with that infamous catch phrase that stole the hearts of young nerds and the money from their parent's wallets since the late 80s. What was once a black and white self published comic book The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is now a multi-million dollar franchise that has been acquired by Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon to reboot for a new generation. It even says it in the Facebook URL.

We finally get to catch a glimpse of the new TMNT:

The cast includes some of my favorite thespians like William Fichtner, Will Arnett and Whoopi Goldberg. Thankfully, Corey Feldman wasn't invited back to reprise his role as Donatello from the totally forgettable TMNT III. Unfortunately, there's no Casey Jones. We can't always get what we want I suppose.

It's never too early to start the press machine for a movie that's only two months away. Mr. Arnett was on TODAY serving pizzas and talking about what it's like to get shell shocked:

Jonathan Liebesman's (Michael Bay is just a producer) The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is set to debut on Friday, May 16.
