March Radness Preview: Stargazer Lilies

Posted By on Wed, Feb 19, 2014 at 2:00 PM

March Radness is not terribly far off (March 8! Get your tickets now! They're going to get more expensive!), so we're going to give you a taste of what to expect from the stellar lineup of bands here on The Range between now and then.

If you have fond memories of shoegazer acts like Slowdive and Lush, you'll be super-into Stargazer Lilies, one of the acts on coolster label Graveface Records. The duo of John Cep and Kim Field, formerly of Soundpool, add a double-drummer attack during their live show, which you'll be able to let wash over you in its breathy etherealness on March 8.

Special bonus tangential connection to Tucson: Stargazer Lilies' new album, "We Are The Dreamers," was produced by Tobacco from Black Moth Super Rainbow, who worked with former Tucsonan Zackey Force Funk on the acclaimed Demon Queen project.

See them and a bunch of bands (Sir Mix-A-Lot! Pinback! Murs!) on March 8 at March Radness, presented by the Tucson Weekly!
